Real talk, do they actually test in house? The new BG set has such poor balance, I'm beginning to suspect they don't.
I wonder if there is a connection between shitty BG balance, and Blizzard hiring casters to develop the game, instead of people with game design experience? Thinking...
Blizzard killed HS Esports when they added Create, in my honest opinion, the amount of RNG in the modern game is so high, it's hard for anyone to take it seriously. After it rose from the grave, they sent it to hell with the YouTube deal. RIP HS Esports.
But they lock you in to buying specific amounts, which don't line up with what you want to buy. So, you actually end up spending more. This is a common trick in mobile games.
When a mobile game adds a new currency, it is always bad for players. You can no longer buy what you want in your local currency. You now have to buy a shitty, intermediate currency, which almost certainly doesn't line up.
Happened to me once, learned my lesson. When you stop pre-ordering, you enjoy the game much more. You can still open 50+ packs per expansion, using gold from the pass, and you don't miss the pain of wasting $100.
I started enjoying the game a lot more when I stopped preordering. The game has always been insanely over-priced, loot boxed are exploitative, and the crafting system is one of the worst of any digital card game.
The casting was a bit biased towards Gaby, IMO, perhaps Blizzard marketing department have picked their next "star"? Shame he misplayed horribly against Levik and then threw a tantrum. ROFL
Bit left field, but I am going for Zachtronics. If you like puzzle games, Opus Magnum is a classic. If you enjoy coding, Exapunks is great, and TIS-100 is pretty hardcore (assembly language coding).
Mr. Smite is one for the worst design decisions the devs ever made, not least because it came after they explicitly classified the "charge" mechanic as "being bad for the game". Imagine sending Leeroy Jenkins to the Hall of Fame, and then printing this?!
The test is, are there several current control decks that can deal with it? The combination of loads of discover, loads of draw, and loads of deathrattle (making boards hard to clear) feels very oppressive to me.

Abysmal game development, there should be sackings, in my honest opinion.

4 legendary in ~40 packs. The Countess, Necrolord Draka, Murloc Holmes, and Kael'thas Sinstrider.
I just got Baroness Vashj from the battle pass.
I stopped putting money into HS a few years ago, you can't beat just saving up a bit of gold / free packs, and crossing your fingers, IMO.

Good value (very cheap), and always has the potential to steal something that really messes them up. Playable.
