I rope when I play on mobile and get a phone call. Or if I have a disconnect. Or if there is something else I am doing on the side. I don't always pay full attention, and so I accidentally sometimes rope being distracted.
When I hate myself and want to the entire world to feel sorry about my mother because she endured 9 months of pain only to give birth to a piece of shit like me. That's when I rope.
When I have Nozdormu, and my best chance to win is roping for a turn or two and hoping on the next turn, my opponent decides to watch 20 seconds of a YouTube video while I immediately play Noz and mash the end turn button.
I do it with emoting Big Priests and I may do it with Darkest Hour Warlocks too.
I do not judge them for their deck choices, but I know they play those decks because they enjoy to abuse their opponents through highroll/memes. So it's abuse for abuse. BM for BM.
But even then, I do it quite rarely, since it also means wasting my own time.
Truth is, if I had infinite time, I would rope EVERY Big Priest and EVERY Darkest Hour Warlock...
When you obviously intentionally BM me I will rope you. Usually if I'm playing HS I have the time to kill anyway so I could care less if I'm in for the long haul (Plus I am also an Ice Cream Shaman player, that should tell you something ;) )
If someone ropes me turn 1 and turn 2. I will rope them for the rest of the game (almost). I HATE getting rope early. There is just no reason, so I give them a taste of their own medicine. They will start playing faster REAL quick after that! Otherwise, I only rope if I actually need to think or if I need to grab a beer lol!
Same, especially if we're playing in casual.

Life before death. Strength before weakness. Journey before destination.
I used to "counter rope" on a 1-for-1 basis. Then I realized that all I was doing was compounding the "this guy is wasting my time" problem. If anything, I tend to play faster when someone is purposefully roping me at the end of every turn. While their rope is burning, I'm figuring out what I want to do next. You want to sit there and do nothing? Go ahead. My time isn't so precious that you wasting an extra 6 minutes of it over a duration of a game is going to bug me much.
Sometimes in these hour long Warrior games I have to take a pee really bad, so I do my actions for the turn and leave without pressing end turn to make sure I have as much time as possible to get back. I hate to do it, but it's better than pissing my pants or missing a turn.
Honestly, only against control Warrior. But i just assume they enjoy long games and wasting time so not sure it counts
I WAS playing my own dragon control warrior deck. Just not sure why that deserves a rope though. He was playing a netdecked token Druid. I can't figure out why my deck is one you'd rope where his was perfectly fine. I don't even have a great win% vs. Token Druid. If they draw/play well I usually struggle. He didn't, I was able to get the board and hold it, but that doens't happen every match.
The worst feeling in Hearthstone is when you disconnect with lethal in your hand and unintentionally rope the the opponent on the lethal turn. I have even let my opponent win in some cases when that happens. Just so my opponent do not think I was roping to be an ass. Fortunately it is pretty rare that it happens.
Sometimes I have to rope while I restart the mobile app.
I play on ipad and I really like card copying effects, but it usually starts to get laggy if I copy too many. So when i notice it starting to crap out, I play really fast and then restart the app, and hope that I get re-connected before my next turn ropes.
Salty Side Note: I hate how in 2019 a trading card game has memory problems on the ipad.

When they play: Jade Druid
Resurrect Priest (the unbelieveably bullshit one with archmage vargoth on wild)
Bomb Warrior if they have like augmenteg elekk
I mean I am salty but when I rope people, they shoul get a fucking message.
I rope quite a lot actually, but i don't do it on purpose tho. I just don't want to make mistakes.
Call me childish, but I rope on purpose for three reasons:
If bad actions don't have consequences, then behavior will not change.
When the UPS guy shows up in the middle of a game.
Easy answer: never.
Honestly, only against control Warrior. But i just assume they enjoy long games and wasting time so not sure it counts
Every time they rope me I'll do it back. I will watch tv or play some Fortnite while I'm waiting. It's all good.
If someone ropes me I usually rope them back until they stop. It actually works pretty well. Fight fire with fire.
When I die, I want to go peacefully and in my sleep like my Grandpa. Not yelling and screaming like the passengers in his car.
This is just sad.
Where shall I start...

LOL I've done that before
