I mean the meta is still kind of new and evolving but some cards being played really and some not just confirm some people theories..
And we have some stats with a decent sample size.
Also some people here sure want to brag about your good predictions, cards you didn't rate dust and became meta defining or cards that everyone hyped out and turn out to be bad..
Of course I am not encouraging any name calling, or flaming it's mostly for learning experience mostly or just a feels good moment when you predict something correctly when everyone else was wrong.
I will start I have a few:
Oblivitron- EVERYONE called this card garbage but guess what? it's in a tier 2 deck currently of mech hunter, and it's a high win rate card in that deck.
Chef Nomi - I said it's bad was overhyped by a mile I looked at the stats and WHILE it's played in a currently tier 1 deck according to a sample size of 40K games it's the WORST card in the deck even when played. it's not bad.. but it's not OMG INSANE as some people thought.
Togwaggle's Scheme - shuffling cards is a low tempo and low short term value play hence it's bad and the highest WR deck with this card is 45% also pogo is the worst deck currently in the data.
I will also state a weak prediction of mine, I though silence priest is gonna be insane, turns out it's not it's just a deck that feels bad, you need both the silence stuff and the minions at the same time and it mostly doesn't work the cards don't work well without the other card and it's just a recipe for a clunky deck (played the deck and it's how it felt, also the win rate tells on that).
I'll admit Oblivitron is better than I expected. A lot of that is because of Warrior, though. It's far too slow against a lot of other things. That said, I'm still not entirely convinced it'll remain core to the deck. It's really a Nine Lives deck.
Scargrl or whatever his name is: He’s a pure tilt card. Played on curve if he can’t be felt with it’s an auto win almost. Since murloc is generally aggro normally you can clear enemy minions with trading when you drop him. That leaves your opponent one turn with an empty board to deal with him. Very annoying card.
Weapon Destruction: Called this would be needed and my day 1 decks included Harrison and ooze. Won me a lot of games.
Secret Paladin: Over rated in standard, just like I said. Lots of people pegged it as THE aggro deck.
As soon as the bomb warrior package was revealed I predicted that it wouldn't be a fun deck to play or a fun deck to play against. Having done quite a bit of both over the last few days, I can confidently say that I was right.

I don't agree: I've never faced him and I play at high ranks. I feel like Scargil is too slow for an aggro deck: he absorbs all your turn 4 and he makes cheap minions even cheaper, and that's a bit of an overkill; moreover, on turn 5 you want to Bloodlust your opponent to death.
I'm saying this against my won interests, given that he is one of the only three Legendaries (feelsbadman) I've got so far

I am starting to realize the same. I almost never play Scargil on curve because I'm putting two more merlocs down for a big hit on turn 5. If I'm playing into turn 7-9 I'm just hoping the other player misplays and I can use Scargil to fill my board to make a win condition. Not playing cards on curve always puts me in a bad spot with my merloc shaman deck.

Good to know that you were right about your opinion being your opinion
It's too early to mock people for Oblivitron [/card]. Deathrattle Mech Hunter is slow. It gets beaten so bad by aggro it should be a hate crime. I could see [card]Oblivitron being cut eventually. Its strength comes from Nine Lives, Mechanical Whelp, and Safeguard.

I'd say it's a bit early. Nomi and Tog Scheme are gimmicky cards, so people are having fun with them right now.
I figured bomb warrior would be strong, but that it wouldn't be tier one. and at day 1 warriors were at about 56.5% wr, now it's down to 53.5% ish, still going lower, and it's like day 3 now.
I'd disagree with Togwaggle Scheme, Pogo Rogue is not the only archetype this card can be used in. It's plenty useful in Burgle Rogue.
It can be a non-random Academic Espionage. I have tried shuffling 10+ Blink Fox, Captain Greenskin, Hench-Clan Burglar, burgled Akali Rhino and won those games.
It's bad if you don't draw it in the early game, though. Just like a Keleseth? but can still get a little less value?

I never thought Secret paladin would do much simply because no Divine Favor snatches the heart out of any such deck. I think I was ahead of the curve on that one. I don' think that many people were too far off on what would work in this expansion. The cards are pretty straightforward. The ones that look good are good.
Well I said that Chef Nomi was bad and I am supported by the stats so far. The problem I brought up was the same issue with any combo deck. If you don't have ways to pull specific pieces of the combo out of your deck, then you are relying entirely on drawing into the combo pieces, which means you are giving up the board and lose to most aggro and mid range decks.
Now Chef Nomi is really strong against certain decks, that is not the issue. The issue becomes, is your deck worth putting this card into it hoping it will work? I have played a few games where they had the perfect draw. I blizzard their board. I then flamestrike it next turn. Then the concede.
I did think Oblivitron was slow and possibly playable, but only if we get better death rattle cards. Sure, its a strong card against certain classes, like Warlock and Warrior, but terrible against more aggressive decks.
We are still very early in the experimentation phases and there are still cards and decks people are playing around with. Though there are certain cards that will never see play no matter the meta.
We are pointing our fingers and laughing at you Dr. Boom's Scheme. Get a haircut and a job and come back when you are worth playing.

at lower ranks, yeah it's worth it. I would only suggest cutting nomi and tog if you are playing competitively and you're shooting for high legend. otherwise it's more fun to have them and they don't really hinder you if you build the deck right.
in order to facilitate these cards you need to run the more aggressive version, without the burgle cards.
more people are cutting myras and the new legendaries now (only running ed, greenskin and leeroy) and then running the burgle package with 2 shadowsteps as well.
This was the version that was popularized by the pro player "orange" and while it's more boring than the full version, it's streamlined and designed to win more games at high level.
I still think nomi and tog will be good and win you games at lower levels. also if fun is more your game then I'd include them anyway.
PS: henchclan thug has been removed as well due to anti synergy with the pick)

togwaggles scheme is better with hooktusk from what I've heard.
I've had some success copying greenskin in a cutlass deck as well as a way to always keep adding to the weapon, even in the mirror match.

Don't lie. Day one tempo bomb warrior was jokes.
I just want to rub it in to all the people who thought Blastmaster boom was bad, I mean how do you think a much better Dr 7 is bad?

You know that Nomi wasn’t hyped up, right? Most said it was “playable”, which it is.
I voted "bad" on Nozari, despite the hype. She sure hasn't lived up to it so far.
On the other hand, I greatly underestimated Oblivitron and Blessing of the Ancients.
