If many of are like me, which I'm sure you are, you got the pre-release for the next expansion .
As with all expansions, when you open your packs, you're bound to have dust to craft some of the other things you may want.
Since we are going to have a number of cards tossed into the Hall Of Shame, werew going to have a bit more dust this time around. What are you going to do with yours?
I'm planning to Gold-Up my Warlock cards a bit and maybe some Rogue ones as well.
Yeah, I’ve fallen into the golden trap before so not going to do that again. Way too expensive. I will prob save the dust for the first couple of weeks to see how the meta changes and then craft the stuff I didn’t get from packs.
Planning on opening at least 140 packs on launch. 80 from preorder and another 60 from gold.
I’ll have about 25000 dust give or take, so I’ll craft a few gaps with maybe 10000 of it and save the rest. I only really can afford to craft to win, not craft to bling, so I’m not worried about crafting gold cards.
20k dust for the first time. Although I don't think I am going to spend much, the only time I spent lots when shudderwock was nuts - insta craft -4000 dust for me. If there is going to be a deck like this I might, but doubt so. Probably play more arena, save more dust and just do nothing with it
I'll craft the remaining cards needed for the full set after opening 350ish packs.
Then I will dump around 20k in golden cards, nowadays I mainly play arena so I will be crafting pretty much 1 of every rare and common cards in golden so most of my cards when I play arena are gold. Perhaps 2 or 3 golden epic if they are really good arena cards and MAYBE 1 or 2 golden legendaries.
I used to waste so much dust on golden junk back then
I’ll probably have around 7k dust after HoF and pre purchase dusting so can’t afford to be flash. I’d like to make a competitive rogue deck and then see where the meta ‘dust’ settles 🤪
Last rotation round I hadn’t been playing long and dusted all of the cards rotating out so I could craft a competitive standard deck. This time I’m not sure whether to do so or not... there is no way I am dusting the Lich King though!

God, I envy you. I'm down to my last 100 dust after crafting a golden Gloom Stag and Glitter Moth so I could benefit from the extra dust. That'll give me 4,000 dust once they're HoF'ed.
By my calculations, I'll probably gain at least 8,000 dust once the rotation hits, with the dust from Genn and Baku accounting for a lot. I'll probably dust some of my useless legendaries (Moorabi, Blood-Queen Lana'thel, and The Darkness) as well. With all that dust, I'm thinking of crafting a number of must-have classic legendaries (thinking of crafting them in golden) and some interesting RoS cards. Here's my list so far:
I already crafted Captain Hooktusk a week ago. I'm planning on playing a lot of Rogue this year. Any tips on which of the classic legendaries I should add to my collection?

I did something similar a few expansions ago and crafted:
Leroy Jenkins (must have for any aggro/tempo deck)
Edwin Van Cleef (got to legend this month with tempo rogue and he won matches by himself more than a few times)
Tirion (awesome in mid range/control type paladins)
Ysera (just love this card and now Lich king and DKs have gone could be reborn as the late value card of choice)
Deathwing (because dragons... but have barely used it so one to avoid)
I plan to sit on my dust. Last rotation, I went nuts but this time I plan to be patient and not dust or craft anything straight away. I'll see what I open and see what HSReplay/VS report says and go from there.
There's a few classic legendaries I'd like to have but I hate wasting dust on legends I don't necessarily need right now. My goal (for now) is to earn Golden portraits. I'll have my first golden portrait (Hunter) tomorrow and then whatever I want to play that is top tier.
Oh, I would always play with golden over regular versions if I had the choice. But it’s honestly not worth the money. If you have a good collection, opening a 50 pack bundle of classic will give you between 3-4K dust. So that’s about $50 per golden legendary. Even a conservative estimate of $30 per golden legendary. Ridiculous. That’s also $15-25 per golden epic.
i have nothing against spending money on this game but I have my limits. Dropping an extra $150 per expansion just for a handful of good golden cards isn’t worth it for me. My money can be put to better use elsewhere

The goal of all life is death.

Patiently wait (Yep I know, I hate it too) for the meta to settle before crafting anything... or not...
Craft one legendary I want to try out right away (and maybe an epic or two) and then save the rest for when people figure out what's good and not.
How does one accumulate more than 20,000 dust?
Craft cards
There are a few ways...
i) Save up like crazy.
ii) Play Arena like crazy and be good at it.
iii) Dust cards that rotate to Wild (if you are so inclined)
iv) Also, I got a lot of dust by farming the hell out of the recent Brawliseum (the one where all cards were 1 mana 1/1s.)
Mmmmmmm.... Shadowy thoughts.
Was thinking that myself!

Good Luck and Happy Gaming! <3
I'm just gonna collect it. I should be at 50 000+ I just like this feeling of an old dragon sleeping on a pile of golden treasures ;)
A number of these responses actually trigger a follow up question....
Do you like playing with gold cards vs regular ones?
