Shudderwock would be fine if they would just nerf this stupid combo. Almost nobody uses Shudderwock as a value card. It's only seen as a win condition. It would be far more interesting to see it as the N'Zoth of Jade Shaman or other battlecry-intensive decks.
I don’t play shudderwock but I wish people would shut the fuck up about it. Seriously? The animation is why it shouldn’t have been printed. Brain dead. This isn’t an interesting topic to discuss. Seriously, shut the fuck up already.
lul, I kinda agree, compared to Druid in Wild I don't even mind Shudderwock, sure it was annoying in Standard but it doesn't even come close to some other decks
...I prefer control decks, especially some of the control decks that are around right now but, they stand 0 chance against Shudderwock
I like playing aggro hunter, but it stands zero chance against control and not much against taunt. It almost seems like there no deck that is favored every match. Fix your game Blizz!

I use it in my midrange mech shaman deck with tanglefur mystic, elise, jeweled scarab, n'zoth, giggling, and enhance-o-mechano to generate lategame value
Shudderwock shaman decks are not doing well atm. They have plenty of bad matchups: Big spell mage, control priest, mechathun decks, even warlock, most druid decks...
Why are so many control players so grumpy about losing to combo decks? It is actually supposed to be like that: Aggro>Combo>Control>Aggro
Aggro vs control is 50-50....you need PERFECT draw to win vs aggro nowdays....(should be 35-65)
Control vs combo/otk/mill is 10-90
Combo vs aggro is 35-65 (most balanced match up at the moment)
Yep combo should win vs control but again control COULD HAVE at least 30-35% chance to win... (ALL classes not just warlock)
That what you said are polarized matchups and everyone say its bad....xD it should never be autowin matches....but again its hard to achive that...thats the problem :/
You pulled a lot of numbers out of a hat there!
Can you guess the worst matchup of Odd Rogue (aggro in this meta)? Odd warrior, and it is a ~75-25 matchup, which is awful by Hearthstone standards. It is even slightly worse than Odd warrior vs Shudderwock shaman;-)
Ye but that should not be the case....thats my point xd it should be 40-60 in warriors fauvor and 40-60 in shamans fauvor xd it would be ideal IMO...you still have aggro>combo>control>aggro but with less polarized matches :)
Shudderwock is a weirdly polarizing deck, but I guess it makes sense. It's not a tier 1 deck but I think it's actually better than most think it is. It's win rate on hsreplay does not represent it's skill ceiling moreso than most decks. I've watched people playing it successfully at very high legend this season. It has great matchups and few 'unwinnable' matchups.

Is BSM doing well against shudderwock?
Wondering the same. BSM is a heavy control deck by default. W/o any techs (except maybe lucky outcomes from The Lich King) the mage player can't stop the Shudder combo. The only way of winning against them I can think of is rushing them down (with e.g. the 9 mana legendary), but setting up Dragoncaller Alanna takes so much time that the shaman can most likely find the combo pieces by that time.
Shudderwock is definitely favored against big spell mage. When i'm playing shudderwock, i'm always happiest to queue into a big spell mage (after odd warrior of course). The only way you lose that as shudderwock is if your shudder is bottom 5ish cards and they start dropping Sindragosa, LK, jaina elementals, etc.

That sounds fun as hell, could you pm me your decklist?
Well the good news is that I've added Azalina Warrior to my deck list so, when the end of the season is near, I'm just going to sit on 0 stars spamming that deck so no Shudderwocks can climb. That deck doesn't deserve to climb.
Shudderwock would be a fun part of Hearthstone if it weren't for its infinite value combo with Saronite and Grumble.
No card that does so much should also stuff your hand with 1-cost versions of itself.

Shudderwock means driving a clown car in circles around your opponent while he swings his sword at you. Half the time he chops you and your car to pieces. The other half you park on his legs and 40 clowns come out one by one, trampling him to death.
I don't see many Shudderwocks, but I agree that standard BADLY needs a neutral anti-combo tech card. There's no worse feeling than knowing it's impossible to win a game no matter what you do.
That's the dumbest thing ever. Why should there be ONE card that beats an entire deck? This is the same reason Demonic Project has an awful design. If there are insta-win counters to combo decks then there should be insta-win one card counters to control decks.

Thinking where midrange has gone... xd

Combo decks that can deal more than 30 damage in a turn should not be allowed in hearthstone.
Decks have more than 30 armor shouldnt allowed too
Shudderwock wasn't a problem on day one of the Witchwood expansion and it's still not a problem. If someone plays the deck against me I'm glad.
Rexxar smiles.

Stupid card, made by stupid people and we stupid players are still playing this really stupid game and wasting money or time to their stupid company.
AAh, now I understand. Yeah, it's logical that a deck running bunch of board clears does well against minion centered ones.

What shudderwock, where do you see this half bad deck ?
If you play control you should whine about quest rogues.
you could play mecha'thun. it is not the best right now but it can beat shudderwocks no problem.
Rejoice, for even in death, you have become children of Thanos.
Aggro player: These control decks make me sick!
Control player: These OTKs beat me all the time!
Combo player: I know im gonna lose to aggro from turn 1!
This is how it works, accept it and stop making this treads one after another. All that crying part of HS community makes me want to leave the game.
