I only find it frustrating when I'm playing OTK Pala and I meet some Mecha'thun deck. Even with time-out up, I die. I know that's intended but my hero is supposedly immune so, kinda makes me want to rage quit at that point. If immunity doesn't counter Mecha'thun, what does.
I would definitely not replace anything to include Blast Wave. The card looks like a real stinker, and is basically little more than an overly glorified holy nova. As for the deck otself, the construction looks solid, although I would consider maybe not running the fire-eaters, since 2 damage hero power should already kill a lot of relevant stuff early and mid game
I agree, but only because I won’t use the Secret package used by OP. I will instead go for a Big Spell approach, with Alanna. Blastwave can have big potential there.
If you go for the Secret Package, I would not use Dragon Fury. Unless you think a guaranteed 3-damage AOE for 5 mana is good. And, to be fair, it probably is.
Dragon's Fury was a huge mistake that I noticed as soon as I posted the deck :) I substituted them out for more secrets since I run the secret package here. No clue if it'll work, maybe the big spell variant will have more success (I guess it depends on what meta shifts we see and whether big spell can make it to late game comfortably).
i would replace a counterspell with frozen clone and maybe replace mana Bind with a blast wave.
Mana Bind replacement, maybe. Counterspell I feel is way too valuable so that's personal preference for me. Frozen Clone might be a good inclusion to help establish more board presence early on though.
Like the deck a lot! I was actually thinking about making this but I didn't think about secrets that's pretty cool. What do you think about black cats over acolytes?
Changed. Great idea. I think the deck already has enough draw without needing the extra draws from Acolyte and the stats on Black Cats are much more preferable. The only downside is that there's no real way to take advantage of the spell power aside from Explosive Runes.
Unsure if such a deck would see play right now with the inevitable Hunter meta incoming but I figured I'd throw something together. I feel like it's playable but maybe has some awful flaws. The main idea is to play around early board control with those cheap hero power buff minions + secrets.
Edit: I've just noticed the severe lack of value in Dragon's Fury in this deck, what could take its place? More secrets maybe? (added) Arcane Artificer?
Hey, I'm hoping some folks here can help me out. I've built a Spiteful Paladin deck based on what new cards we have available to us but I think it's severely lacking. I doubt Spiteful Paladin will see play but I figured I'd give this theorycraft a shot anyway.
Positives:
Pretty good early game, a few cheap drops and board control with Truesilver Champion.
I'm trying to figure out where this card will fit. It sounds damn strong but what deck would this best fit into? For aggro paladins, I can see it doing relatively okay. The armor gain isn't huge due to low health minions but it helps to remain stable. Mid range seems best or maybe some mid range dragon/heal Pala depending on the rest of the cards. I've thrown together an awful Spiteful deck that incorporates self healing/high mana cost spells with some (hopefully) defensive early game. Open to feedback.
i dont wanna rude, but i just read that u seem to be good at the game but within 1 minute my brain explodes as i see you running swap king dread, lol why? if u watch streamers and whatnot u would have known that its is a pretty bad card.
turn 3 u do a tempo play of a 3/3 when ur opponent is Odd warrior? that deck struggles vs deathrattles, u should have saved the terrorscaled to proc the cube on the silenced egg. sure the enemy could have killed the egg by then but u should have at least waited. I mean u wanna have a minion on board to pressure an Odd warrior? that deck thrives on aggro opponents and u decided to do an aggro play instead of trying to the the thing that Odd warriors are bad against?
BIG EFFIN MISTAKE that right there and then might have costed u the match. and this was just the opening.
Didnt play Keleseth when drawn, same with tracking which u should in order to get closer to ur DK Rexxar which just shits ons Odd warrior.
Took u forever to play Tracking and when u got DK Rexxar u used ur shitty hero power vs ODD FUCKING WARRIOR??? ARE U FOR REAL???
I burst out laughing on that one.. Might i ask when did u reach Legend and using what kind of deck? No disrespect but this arent the plays of Legend player.
No need to be so toxic, I never claimed to be a legend player but, thanks for the feedback, even if it was put aggressively :)
Thanks for not calling me an idiot or a dumbass cause for some reason I thought you had been legend.
AND yeah after I read my post again i do sound toxic and a complete idiot. I still maintain those main points of what I see as displays.
I've read Kaladin advices to you and u should listen to him. He is a very good player
Yeah I've taken notes :) tbh I'm not sure why I tempo'd the 3 drop.

Playing a 3/3 on 3 when you have a Cube in hand is debatable.
since you didn't play Keleseth when you drew it, I think I'd rather Cube the Grizzly and Play Dead it on 6 instead of playing Keleseth
You didn't want to Ooze the weapon??
Didn't want to play Kathrena? Why?
You Tracking'd for Rexxar and then, while having a full 6 mana to play it, used Steady Shot. Why??? Rexxar is your win condition.
Also it could be argued that with Deathrattle Hunter vs Odd Warrior, you should hard mulligan for Rexxar, since that is your win condition.
1. Definitely debatable and I think is more of a preference. I've honestly been toying with the idea of replacing it again (maybe another charge or highmane instead, like I used to play)
2. Playing the 3/3 was to establish something on board and it felt too slow to wait for something to cube so I figured that was the better play but I could be wrong.
3. Noted, I'll consider that in future.
4. I believe the weapon had 1 charge when I had Ooze and I knew they ran a second copy, I decided to save it for the second copy when I was able to build a strong board to take the win.
5. I played Shaw instead of Kath to bait out more removable or the second copy of Supercollider which ended up paying off so I don't think I'd change the play here.
6. I figured that since it was taunt warrior, I needed to be more aggressive and keep the armor down before it got out of control.
If these justifications suck and/or are wrong, I'd love for them to be corrected.
The purest, rawest rage. I don't add people to insult them though.
On the other hand, when the tables are turned and they add me, I write out "LOL :)" and copy it to clipboard so I can spam it after they rage before they block me.

Read the note at the bottom of the page, this closed about 8 hours ago (I think). Ah well.

Can't select a team here either. Figured it might be a browser issue but I have the same issue across Chrome/Firefox/Edge/Safari.

Subject 9 is in there to help thin the deck and pull out secrets for the mid game. The win condition is ultimately to summon double Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk via Zola the Gorgon. There's a bunch of card draw in here, a couple of ways to stall, partial synergy with Frost Lich Jaina via double Ragnaros the Firelord, Tar Creeper, and Baron Geddon. Acolyte of Pain is in there to help with hero power damage and to draw through the deck. I thought about Helpless Hatchling to reduce the cost of Jan'alai, the Dragonhawk but that feels kinda clunky plus it's unlikely you'll have the hero power damage ready to summon it on turn 5.
Anyways to improve this/any thoughts on this? I was looking at

Anybody got any opinions/fixes for this deck to make it a little more viable?

But then I can't see if they're BMing me and I get curious FeelsBadMan

Pretty sure it's coded into the game that this never happens.
No Rexxar? Tracking -> Katherina/Rexxar/King Krush -> Concede
