Moreover people that say that aggro counters Shudderwock really shows how they don't know the deck or how they are biased when judging its power.
Regular Shudderwock list already has a decent matchup against aggro decks, but you could also change some cards to make it even better.
I've been playing a lot of odd rogue lately just because of this noob deck and I assure you that it doesn't feel like I'm favoured at all. If they don't draw really bad they have no problem surviving through all of my threats.

Odd rogue can't refill board fast, SW is tough matchup for him. But Zoolock kills SW pretty easy. Not sure about odd pala, I'm not playing him
After opponent played SW you play Azalina, copy his deck and start play your own 1 mana SW. Now you are getting much more armor than he can drain and placing really a lot of damage inside his deck.
Actually you can fit this pack into any control warrior deck, this cards are really not so bad by itself.
Azalina will not give you 1 mana Shudderwocks ... you get them at 9 mana.
I thought the same thing (and still think it is how it "should" work, and added her to my Quest Priest deck. With 40 health, and usually some armor, it's pretty easy to survive round 1, but near impossible to survive round 2, so having them at 9 mana screws that idea completely.

huh... was it tested?
ah, you already tested it in priest.. this is bad bad news for control warrior.( it means it will be playable only in specific meta, like big mage now (
That is confirmed to be how itll work, so Azalina WILL be a counter card to shudderwock, note that you dont need Seafurium bomber though, lifedrinker is also an option.
Also Note that you actually cant run/play Bloodrazor in such a Warrior deck since you need the raptors for the armor which would get destroyed otherwise.

Seaforium is nice card by itself, I think it nicely fits the flavor of fatique warrior. New Elek combo both with it and with Elise. And 5 mana 5/5 is better board play than 4 mana 3/3 :)
Shudderwock is the most polarising HS card since Jade Idol. Personally, I really hope they nerf it. Perhaps being able to copy it’s battlecries with Azalina Soulthief (after the patch) will make it less popular?
That won't even counter shudder. He can just add 1 murmuring elemental to the list to double the bc's. You will gain 50-60 armor at best on your Azalina turn. He can earthshock a 1-1 then play 9 shudders, 8 with double battlecry. Around 100 damage.
It also means you have to cycle reasonably fast to make sure you have played all of those cards before he starts shudderwocking and you have Azalina in hand. You also can't play the 4 mana weapon as the BC will kill the 1-1's.
The deck is also not going to beat anything else. We need counters that are top tier decks.
Some strong aggro and mid range decks might cause it serious problems though. Zoolock is about to get even better. Maybe some mech aggro/mid decks will also spring up. Token druid should be a thing again as well.
Warlock can also try the transform.
I think miracle rogue could be a big problem for the deck. Pulling free 4-4's and having lots of random shaman minions and spells for 1 mana with tess in there to replay them.
I mocked up a deck that I think should do well against the slower decks.
On a warrior you will be getting up to 196 armor per turn for 7 plays of 1 mana SW. Also you will place up to 14 bombs to his deck per turn. And it is very possible that he will just draw 6 bombs in a row on his turn start.
I also think that such deck will be strong enough to be meta competitive. We will see that after launch.
However I really hope that new midrange decks and token druid will banish Shaderwock out of meta :)

I haven't seen it done yet but people are theorizing being able to gain 250 Armor per turn. His 100 damage isn't enough to kill you if that is true.
In any event I am not sure it needs a hard counter. Agressive decks already do decently well against it. There are a number of other combo decks with OTKs showing up, it'll poop on control like it always has if the Azalina tech doesn't work. But other combo decks and aggro means that it'll be about where it's at now.
Pretty good, but not so dominant that you want to off yourself.
With what seems to be a bunch of boosts to zoo and tempo decks, the hope is that Shudderwalk will lose enough of its tenuous win rate to make it unviable. Part of the reason why it is working well is that we are in a control meta where combo decks shine. Push the meta to more tempo/aggro and Shudderwalk might not work anymore.
At least that's the hope, anyway. Who knows, but one thing for sure is that there's little to know control cards (except maybe warrior) in this set, so the meta can only get faster.
Why do ppl always say that something is okay if it´s not a Tier 1 deck... i mean exodia mage wasn´t a amazing deck back then but everyone still was angry about it because it was a non interactive (Shuddersh**..wock Shaman is the same thing) combo deck...

Not after the change, after the change they will be 1 mana.
I saw the changes (Kripp's video), but thought they had already taken effect. Tested it again just yesterday I think, and still got a handful of 9 mana Shudder's.
If it does change it, then Azlina will become a really viable counter. Most any control deck can benefit from Zola, Chaingang, and Lifedrinker, and with those 3 cards played, and usually 3-4 1 mana shudderwoks, you can flip the game pretty quick

12.0 patch went live today, so now it should be changed already :)
Cheers! Now go make a control warrior and outarmour those druids, warpath those odd pallies and token druids, raptor those witching hours, and counter-shudderwock those shudderwock shamans! The tech cards are just simply great control warrior cards (Cornered Sentry + Drywhisker Armorer for anti-aggro and Azalina Soulthief against control)!
I agree with everything that Mojojojo21619 said.

I hope this retarded card will be just removed from the game one day.
Looks like it will be changed in update 12.0 :)

Even if the card was viable, it is a class card. Not an acceptable solution at all, imo.

The problem is that even if you steal shuddercock with azalina you can play just 3 of them max and next turn opponent plays 10 and you just die anyway

3 SW - this is up to 84 armor (double whyskirer on full board 3 times).
Their SW will do 60 damage, maybe 90 if they managed to bounce mosqito once. I think you should stay alive

The Azalina counter works with warrior. I pulled it off twice in three games, and the time I didn't pull it off, Azalina was in my last three cards.
