I mean its not so OP loses to aggro but during the first few days of WW release it seems really broken . To add insult to injury u have to wait for minutes until the animation ended . Many players/streamers complained that its broken , DisguisedToast even said that it will be nerf within 2 weeks .
Summery
Start of expansion - Didn't test cards
Broken animation
Legendary card huge dust refund
Ben Brode and Hamilton Chu resign at the same week span
Which maybe gave the boss or higher ups the impression of these senior designer did not do their jobs testing the cards which resulted in many players complain during week 1
Thats some inpressive mental gymnastics right there.
Perhaps its the fact that Ben had worked there for 15 years and suddenly realised the better jobs are outside the game industry and you know, life responsibilites etc. I almost tripled my salary when I switched from Game Designer to Web Developer.
First of all Ben already said he tried to not have the card release as it was, second of all there’s already been posts like this asking basically the same question.

People have complained the first week of every expansion. How is shudderwock different than Quest Rogue, corridor creeper or other cards the community hated? Also, Shudderwock isn't getting nerfed. Toast was wrong. Animation is literally the only thing in your comment that is correct.
Hearthstone would have to be doing poorly for its leadership to be forced out. It is not. The execs at ATVI who would make that decision have no idea what a Shudderwock is, nor do they care to know.
I'm going to say this nice and slow for you, and I know this has been said already, but I'm worried you still might not understand... noooooooo
did you get that?
good!
Timing wise it makes sense - they wanted to see the most recent project to the end and make sure the first week or so went okay, and then they could resign. This wasn't a secret within Team 5 and Blizzard. People that high up likely gave a month's notice of their decision meaning this was decided before the expansion and before Shudderwock...
My best guess on why both left is because they are probably pursuing something new and left together. Either they're building something from the ground up, or some other game is giving them a better offer than what they had. Does this make sense to you? Not everything is scandalous and usually everything is just far more simple than you think.
This suggestion is ridiculous. If anyone was going to be forced to resign it would have been over the debacle that happened when they couldn't get the servers up for multiple days for what should have been a minor patch.
Imagine you have a high position in well establish company. By doing your job you got huge amount of salary and all kind of benefit such as insurance etc. our life will be comfortable and full of joy.
And there is another people who feels life like these isn't fun at all. How can people enjoy this when you almost do nothing you can achieve something. In the end instead working for well establish company they creating company from the scratch, looking for challanges.
Isn't it like us when we play hearthstone? First we play cube warlock, when we start know how to play this deck and reach a high rank we start to think "how come this deck so strong that i can achieve this rank without thinking at all?" Then instead playing cube warlock you create a warlock deck where you can otk your oppenent with your hero power and aim for rank 1 legend.
Absolutely. In fact, there's a real Shudderlock loose in Blizzard HQ right now. It's locked itself in a board meeting with the executives and is forcing them to listen about his jaw and claws.

No,it is not.
And for nerfs i do not think so, probably just speeding up the animation
the card is not even good.
extremely slow and it gets completely destroyed by most decks,
paladin - baku hunter - or any fast paced deck which is the meta nowadays
yes, they also flew planes into wtc and shot kennedy.
Not even remotely.

Probably not, Brode seems to be wanting to make a new company, and it's very possible Chu is going to be part of it
Don't mind me just passing by

CCGing since '98.
Seriosuly, what is up the amount of shitty threads lately?
You do know that Brode and Chu weren't really involved with card design, right?

This thread again?? Wow you conspiracy jackoffs are losers...
