I really don't understand why people complain whenever someone suggests that the legendary cost should be reduced. There is actually no downside for the players and I bet it would have a positive effect on the meta and would drastically increase the variety of decks.
Nobody can afford to play meme decks/fun decks/try out new combos, cause the cost for those dull key cards is just way to high. The only players who can afford this are mainly streamers.
On the other side there are these "netdeckers" who typically invest in decks, that other players have proven to be successful. They put all the dust into one deck and are committed to it for at least one season.
Looks like they update the transformed minions now by reference. Doing a lookup to that reference now shows "frog" or does not trigger elements anymore.
Minor change, massive impact. Guess there will be many other glitches caused by this change.
Theses kind of decks only work with surprise factor.
Once they get mainstream they become too easy to forecast and therefore easy to counter.
and how exactly can you counter them?
Depends on the deck you play. I am playing control mainly by myself. So the surprise factor is the combo that you don't expect. So when you play against a combo deck and you just assume another controlish deck, not knowing about the deadly combo, you play very slow to win the value game. Once you got beaten by a combo deck, you know how to play better the next time because you know what combo to expect.
Hate seeing this deck getting popular and starred at the front-page of hearthpwn as well. But I don't think that it has potential to become a main-stream deck on the long run. The problem is that mirror matches always end up in a tie :D
At least playing against pala feels some sort of interactive. You get behind on board on t1 and you know that you lost the game cause you can't catch up anymore.
The opposite you have with the endless taunt wall spam decks. There you develop a nice board, you are ahead, then they heal up and spawn endless taunt walls. So boring and not interactive.
This looks interesting. These are the kind of decks I like to play. Since I am missing The Last Kaleidosaur and both Primalfin Champion do you think its worth spending 2400 dust to have fun with this deck? :)
So tilted by priests in arena right now. Devour mind seems to always steal my best cards. lost three times in a row by priests answering all of my threads with my own cards...

This game is just a joke. turn 5 + coin 4/4 12/12. Yeah of course it requires a special spell deck. lol.

I think they got fired because they moved Coldlight Oracle to Hall of Fame.

Viable meme legendaries that counter super aggro decks. Maybe some more card killer or combo breakers like skulking geist and dirty rat.
