I know we all want that awesome win rate and hit legend and be relevant and competitive.
But do you honestly find it fun or enjoy it??
Ive tried it, mostly because i dont have time to sit in front of digital card for hours on end. Ive gotten around rank 5 then but man did.it get boring..
Some decks are fun and some deck are not. Regardless of the builder of the deck. Besides, as someone with competitive nature that makes laddering super fun
Well I'm looking for archetypes mostly. I rarely play netdecks without any tweaks, but I find it pointless to "experiment with homebrewed decks" two or three months after an expansion is released, as most decks have been made anyway.
I do like playing some tier 2/tier 3 decks from time to time in casual though. I'm feeling Miracle Rogue today, plus I've got a quest for Rogue Cards, so I'm gonna give it a go.
As people mentioned earlier, general climbing is boring. I've hit rank 5 yesterdey and since it's March 14th, I've still got enough time to push for legend and I even might do it this month. But I'm sure af I'm gonna get bored hard, netdeck or not.
I hate net decking and netdecks. I only make my own, and care nothing about legend rank. I’m in it for the collection and the creativity, not pwning nubs.
Net decks or Copy paste decks as you mentioned are generally decks that are optimized for the current meta. If everyone is running net decks on the ladder then I think it is safe to say that you could optimize to counter them. Some decks are obvious when new expansions hit but there are a lot of deck archetypes that are not discovered until later into a meta. There is no reason why you can't climb with a homebrew deck. There is a lot to be said about playing against opponents who think you are one of the two warlock archetypes and you bring a different deck. You have an element of surprise that you can use to your advantage.
Some people want to improve their deck piloting skills and choose to play the optimized decks to perfect them.
Some people (myself included) enjoy playing homebrew decks because, let's face it, we all love being fucking snowflakes and doing something different.
Arena is a refreshing game mode when you get sick of the grind. Would love to see a set based arena draft in the future, I think that would spice up the game quite a bit. E.g. A GvG only draft or GvG plus core.
Here is a homebrew deck that I have had great success and fun with on the ladder, if you truly are that bored.
I do agree with what you said lol arena is refreshing sometimes, sometimes you get abysmal drafts lol. I do love me some good ole homebrews and haha snowflakes

First days of K&C, I made a control warlock (yeah, you know, Voidlords, Guldan, N'Zoth, very similar to what is played right now). I changed a thing or two in the meantime, but I still play it, and having fun with it. It's not my fault that it turned out to be a tier 1 deck, or people just netdeck it. I have fun playing it, that's all. So, if you see me on ladder, I didn't netdeck anything, just so you know.
See, whenever you see someone playing a tier 1-2 deck, don't assume that they just netdeck it. Sometime people create a deck w/o checking anything on the internet, and it becomes successful later on.
Plus, if people want to reach higher ranks by playing what some pro made, don't blame them, maybe they find it fun.
"The flow of time is always cruel... its speed seems different for each person, but no one can change it... A thing that does not change with time is a memory of younger days..."
If you wanna compete for high rank you need to play the best decks in current meta.
Enjoy this strategy? explain maybe what other strategy you have to climb high rank bcs playing your own/shitty decks wont take you anywhere if you wanna compete.
Also are you enjoying making another post about netdecking? I think its 2nd today.
Wanna play for fun sure play your own decks but if you wanna compete dont ask dumb questions like this.
I want to play for fun, alas there is no gamemode to have fun. Don't bring up casual please.

I´m always trying to play my own decks or tweaks of netdecks. I never netdeck a tier 1 deck as I think that´s the most boring thing you can do and requires zero skill (because yeah, playing decks in Hearthstone is very easy in 99% of the cases).
Netdecking is such an ambigous term. A lot of people are complaining about playing against the same three or four decks over and over, but if you see (and lose) to those decks for a while, who can blame you for copying it?
And by that I don't mean just getting a decklist here. I have played against so many control locks, that, if I had too, could probably throw together a very similar deck without even needing to look up specific lists.
I do that on occasion, especially at the rank floors, play a few games, notice an interesting win condition, and then copy that and try to build my own version of the deck around it, probably more often than not effectively creating a 95% identical deck (depending on my card pool and memory). Is that netdecking?
The point is, coming up with a completely unique new deck is next to impossible, and especially at the higher ranks people predominantly play a certain set of deck types for one simple reason: they work. I don't blame anyone to do so. Even with quite some time experimenting with Moorabi, I could never get a freeze shaman to work, nor a overload shaman, nor a grumble OTK shaman (though that does work in theory, it's just way too unreliable).
To me playing ranked is all about getting a read on the opponent, adjusting your play and, if a certain deck dominates, find ways to tech around it. The most successful decks are always going to be the ones you see most often, so I don't see why I should not copy them in some capacity. And just copying a deck code does not make you understand how to play it, I have been on both sides of horrendous mistakes caused by player inexperience with a particular deck.
When I read the title I was expecting you to be asking about a specific deck strategy, not simply playing decks taken from sites...
I don't really enjoy using other people's decks, it is one of the most appealing things about Card Games for me, having a collection of cards and building my decks from my collection and be successful with it. Half of the fun of this game for me comes from having success with a deck I made.
Please note that this does not mean I have to make a Gimmick deck and have it work, it can simply be an effective deck for Competitive purposes. It seems sometimes that people think decks appear from thin air and get posted in these sites by some magical fairy, when in reality, decks are simply constructions of players that enjoy making decks on their own or tweaking other existing ones until they are satisfied.
For a deck to be posted in this site, someone somewhere had to go into their collection and build it from scratch and tweak it until they were satisfied.
I understand partially where your coming from. I've made a recruit druid that can be REALLY fun to play and is good against both aggro and control (yes even beats those stupid control locks!). I've tinkered with it since last expansion and FINALLY have it where I like it. But there's also a reason that the meta decks are meta decks. They are great decks. I don't find that it's the deck that I'm playing that get's old it's the repetitiveness of playing against those same 5 types of decks again over and over and over that isn't fun.

What i don't find boring is winning so...
Just Another Legend Player#Kappa
Yeah I enjoy finding fun decks here and then play them a lot so I can master them
The game is build BY BLIZZARD around those decks, how do you think they design their cards, on the fly ?
