I've been playing Priest only(A little bit of Pally) for all my time in Hearthstone, and we've been at the bottom even a meme for years. Hero Power, Emote, Pass, Concede was all the class was really capable of for the longest time, and now we have a couple Viable decks, that aren't even as strong as Previous BS like Jade Druid, Mid-Ranged Shaman, ect and everybody loses their shit as if us Priest players haven't been getting fucked for years.
The current meta game is great in comparison to the Shaman and Druid meta games because we have such a wide variety of decks,
What's funny is that Priest is the class I've seen the least on ladder games according to my deck tracker tied up with Paladin and Shaman, and the classes I've seen the most on ladder are HUNTER, MAGE, DRUID, WARLOCK then ROGUE.
Their is plenty of Variety on ladder, EVERY SINGLE CLASS is viable right now even Warrior is decent right now even though it got SHAT ON.
Chill tf out, if you are for whatever reason struggling against Priest play a counter, and learn the Match-up. Priest has plenty of great counters like ROGUE AND MAGE.
It's mostly that deck win condition is so strong players can misplay the deck pretty badly and still win with it. I am a priest main too, played so many variants of it since alpha. Even I agree its frustrating to lose when there are multiple visible misplays from opponent. I wanted priest to be good, but not like this. But the class having so many evergreen answers we won't get any early cards power cards due to ability to protect them. So we often are going to be stuck with shenanigans like this or below par decks. I actually hope peoples complaining get a few of our cards rotated to hall of fame so we can open up design space in the class so we stop getting bad cards every expansion.
P.S. the deck is really good but i don't think its oppressing. zoo and rogue do just fine.
Because nearly everything that Priest does is degenerate. From beating you with random stolen cards, to punishing you for playing good cards in your deck, to getting Ysaarj into Lich King out on turn 4, to killing you on turn 5 with Inner Fire, to winning the game with literally nothing but the Anduin-Raza combo, to being something like 50% of the meta in Wild, there is nothing that Priest decks do that doesn't appear on the checklist of most infuriating experiences you can encounter in HS.
People aren't used to Priest being Tier 1. People fear change.
Although they have gone a bit quiet since it was discovered Keleseth Rogue, Evolve Shaman, Midrange Hunter and Murloc Paladin have floated to the top of the standard meta toilet since the changes. Faster decks still win.
I see now that people prefer to lose for a Pirate Warrior thana proper control deck.
Well if you're going to lose anyway it might as well be quick instead of drawn out. Nobody likes wasting 20+ minutes on a game that doesn't benefit you at all when you finally do lose.
I also wouldn't consider priest a proper control deck. Proper decks rely on their own tools and strategies to exhaust you. Priests often rely on the other person playing their own minions or cards for them to win. Nothing proper about having to rely on the other dude to win.

I would prefer control that actually legitimately wins using plays & strategies from their own decks, not the opponent's. After mage priest is the embodiment of HS 'esports' clown fiesta.
Because Razakus priest is straight up broken. 0 mana voidform is not fun OR interactive at all. I've never liked the class because most of its deck just sit back and play obvious answers, but after so many times of the velen mindblast bs combo you get sick of it. ZERO MANA VOIDFORM NEEDS TO BE FIXED!

Sensed the little priest who thinks priest is allowed to be broken because it has been trash for so long, or because it is ''control'' (which it is not). I don't play aggro, but I have more respect for them than for razakus priests. Atleast most of them don't act like they aren't abusing something stupid.

Barnes is a really bad one, but if the priest don't draw Barnes he have a very slow deck then... balanced.
About the old combo, back then druid can use x2 Innervate, x2 of each combo piece and the damage increase with anything in board, priest have to draw 2 pieces combo he can use only x1 each so... balanced.

The thing is, back in the day, Druids had weaknesses. They couldn't deal with big minions, nor deal with a big board. The fact is, Priest have really good removals, so you can even zerg them down. They are doing the same mistake as they did when Shaman was the worst class. Give them early game, board clear, healing & win more cards and you have the shamanstone we've known for 8 months.
And now, it's Priest turn to not have weakness, they did auto-lose against Jade Druid for example, now they win this matchup.
Both priest decks feel like it is a coin toss to play against.
If the priest draws raza by turn 5 and dk by turn 8 then that's game over then and there(for most decks). There was nothing that you could of played differently to change this. And because the game is a turn 8 face race all strategy goes out the window. You just play into aoe... because if you hold back you lose. It creates a very bland matchup that mostly comes down, did the priest draw aunduin/raza.
Unlike old pirate warrior (which could also win off the draw vs lots of decks). You don't find out if they autowin until 10 minutes into the game. Which is a big waste of time.
I should note that their are decks that CAN beat raza priest, even with raza/aunduin by turn 8. Usually if priests are getting me down I do some aggro paladin and just win by turn 5/6 so they can't play the dk. But again it's not really engaging gameplay.
Yes,lets fix voidform and make the meta even worse. Some mechanics are irritant (30 dmg in one turn, exodia, mill etc), but i can't understand how the hearthstone community hates it and accepts a tons of RNG based cards (This is terrible for the competitive game), decks that in 99% of the turns you have one correct move (face).
Unfortanetely blizzard has already seen that players prefer aggressive decks being dominant and the RNG cards maintains the casual players.
OBS: I know that currently a control meta would be terrible.
How can you play only Priest man? With so many different cards and 9 different classes... you're missing a lot here.
Because Priest was the weakest class, which made winning with it way more fun than other classes. It is a control only playstyle which when I first started playing I felt like it was the most rewarding playstyle I felt like Aggro and Combo decks were not as skill heavy which is what I was looking for.
Also I have a weird obsession with Healing type classes in games. I play support in every moba I play and Healer in every RPG I play.

Its a draw dependant combo, in a Highlander deck. Its not like Jade Druid was where every card they played was just flat out better than anything you could produce that turn.
It has consistent counters. It is strong for sure but very beatable. If you know the match up and play Counters, Priest is not really as strong as everyone is bitching about it to be.
Priest NEEDED a way to end games, if you take that away we are back to relying on stupid Win cons like N'zoth, C'Thun. Ysera that just sit at the bottom of your deck, while you die on turn 5 to Insert Aggro deck here.
