posted a message on Looking for a fun wild deck

Fun is subjective. The vs wild meta report came out yesterday. So maybe look through that fo see if any decks catch your eye.

Since you like cheating out big minions. Maybe big priest or cube lock. Especially big priest since you like rng.

But take a look. Lots of options including some that are not strong.

posted a message on Help Me Dust to Make Odd Quest Warrior
    Quote from FreeMorgl >>

So far I have played five games.  I won against odd rogue and some weird crappy hunter deck.  I lost to odd paladin, recruit hunter and togwaggle druid.

Odd paladin builds guys so fast that are hard to remove.  I'm not sure how I can build armour against it since he is hitting me every turn for 5+ damage.  Against the druid and hunter I lost because the game went on too long and they reached their broken combos.

Any advice for how to "remove their shit," get through druid's 400 armour or beat the repeating 30 damage boards of recruit hunter?

Of the 5 games, 4 had the expected outcomes. Your odd paladin game was the one where the non expected outcome happened. This could have been bad luck. Generally for odd paladin you want to muligan the quest away then use armour gain and removal to survive the early game. In the mid/late game you want to leverage the high cost cards in the deck to get ahead on board and go for the victory.

posted a message on is prince liam necessary for odd paladin?

It is a tech card against slower decks - converting 1 drops to higher value top decks in the late game. So not needed, but good in some match-ups.

posted a message on I think the Druid nerfs were bad

I guess we'll see. It took warrior a full year to come back from the fiery war axe nerf.

Hopefully they actually have a plan... Wild growth (and less so nourish) were Druid's defining 'thing'.

posted a message on Casual Ettiquette

I definitely play meta netdecks in casual. I do it for 3 reasons :

    1. I want to learn/test out the deck.

    2. I have win x games with class and that class is not my preferred.

    3. I think there is a good chance the game will be interrupted and I will have to press concede halfway through.

posted a message on Rumble Run is the worst designed single player mode in HS

Rumble single player mode has grown on me.

There is definitely a huge difference in the power levels of the shrines. But that adds replayability.

They probably should have marked the strong shrines so the beginner experience is better.

posted a message on too late to craft corpsetaker?

Depends on how dust rich or poor you are.

Currently they are a dominant card in the meta and appear in many decks. So you will get a lot of use before rotation.

But they do rotate out soon. So if you are a budget player (i.e FTP and not playing many hours), then maybe you want to look at other options that will still be around post rotation.

Of course there is also wild, so the cards can still be used.

posted a message on Standard rotation system, is it a little bit out of date?

One set in one set out would actually punish f2p players because you have even less time to get specific cards/decks crafted and the dust you do use matters even less because it has less of a shelf life (at least in terms of the earlier sets released).

No, this would not be the case as currently only the first set of the year stays for a full 2 years. The other 2 sets stay for only 20 months and 16 months. If all sets were changed to 24 months in standard you would get a little more time on cards in 2 out of 3 sets.

I tend to think go 1 further and put the 1 set in and 1 set out at different times. That way the meta is changed the most number of times.

It's better than if they are all playable and you feel compelled to craft them.

    Quote from C_A_W >>

WTF is The Glass Knight doing there ? I have played against a lot of Even and OTK paladin and only seen this card few times. I don't think it is necessary card in those decks, more like a flex card. I would rather expect Crystalsmith Kangor on the list. It has good synergy with buffs in Even Paladin and with loa in OTK Paladin.

It's because other decks that are not even paladin play the card. So the win rate goes down. Because the card is only in even paladin it gets rated higher than the better legendaries that have more widespread use.

posted a message on The December 2018 Nerfs Discussion Thread

A bit sad to have just crafted kingsbane. But I get 80 dust back I guess :(

The meta needed shaking up. Not sure that no hunter related nerf should have been included.

Druid nerfs seem to be overkill considering ultimate infestation is rotating. Kind of strikes at class identity.

posted a message on Any opinions on Griftah?

    It's golden. Disenchant.

That said, I think grifttah is an underated card. Good stats + an ability that is not great but better than nothing. Think the card will see play in at least 1 high tier deck in the next 2 years.

But golden... So dust it when you stop opening packs and need the dust.

posted a message on Worst pack opening in my last 3 years

@KoolCyanide: The alternating good and bad expansions does not hold for me. Witchwood and dr boom's lab were both kind to me. (legendary drop rates way better than 1 in 20 packs).

posted a message on Worst pack opening in my last 3 years

My worst by a long way was Old Gods. 4 legendaries from about 130 packs. 2 copies of Arcanus and 2 copies of deathwing dragon lord (anti-duplicate rule didn't exist then).

But yeah it feels really bad whenever pity timer is reached (or nearly reached).

This expansion is below average for me. 5 legendaries from 93 packs. Which is average. The bad part is 7 copies of succumb to madness eating all my epic drops. Going to have to be miserly with dust for the next 4 months.
