posted a message on Is Rogue quest too easy?

Variance on when the quest gets completed is really high. With a god hand it can complete turn 2 (weapon equipped turn 3) - which is really strong.

But the average turn for quest completion is probably turn 7 or 8. Which is too late.

posted a message on Should I disenchant my Wild cards (Hall of Fame included)

    Don't do it.

You might be better off being a primarily wild player until your collection fills out a bit. Wild decks change less from season to season so can be more economical for players with old sets.

posted a message on Get "free legendaries" from unused extra cards you may have
    Quote from vNihilism >>

Oh my gosh dood how did I never think of disenchanting my extra cards??? :0

I would advise against this. Save your extra cards that are likely to be nerfed or Hall of Famed in the future. This strategy has actually netted me a "free legendary" worth of dust in just one patch before.

But given the OP had almost 20k dust locked up in extras. It is costing you a fair amount in dust that is unavailable for use. So at the most I would keep only cards that are possible nerf candidates.

posted a message on Zepherys missed easy lethal!

Definitely has some randomness. A couple of times now bloodlust would have been lethal for me, and it has not given bloodlust as an option despite having 5 mana available (note: both times taunts were involved and I was given silence effects so there is probably a pattern I do not see yet).

posted a message on Blizzard just cant resist the infinite value decks?

Nothing wrong with infinite value options. If there is a strategic cost of including it. It is just when infinite value requires only one card added as an after thought it is a problem.

Interesting regarding the anomalies. As someone buying the adventure with gold I won't get to experience that until all chapters are out.

posted a message on No taunts in warrior
    Quote from Kaladin >>

There are no Taunt minions in Warrior's Basic or Classic set.  What makes you think Taunt is part of their class identity?

I'm guessing because for the last 4 years warrior has always had taunt synergy cards. And for the last year taunt warrior was the most successful warrior arch-type.

posted a message on What are soem good first impression decks so far?

Murloc mage and midrange hunter are the 2 decks I have tried that are obviously a level above - at least on day 1.

Hooktusk rogue is also pretty good but doesn't feel quite as strong.

posted a message on 10 Strongest wild cards only like now

Really surprised that Genn and Baku are not on this list.

More generally. Build around cards and synergy cards rule wild.

Build around cards (i.e. Genn, Baku, Reno) get stronger the bigger the card pool as you end up using less sub-par cards to get the benefit. So are always going to be string in wild.

The other class of cards is synergy cards. Because synergy, like tribes, are usually balanced in standard by having to include the bad synergy cards in order to get the good pay-offs. But in wild there are more options so you can leave the bad cards out.

    Quote from Aegis24 >>

With all of the Zoo synergy how is warlock rated the biggest loser?  Zoolock is like a damn cockroach, that deck never dies.  The rest is subjective imo but that one I don't understand.

Didn't vote warlock as a loser. But warlock does lose a LOT of strong cards to rotation.

Don't think it I'll put it in a deck, but not too shabby off Omega Assembly or Dr Boom.

posted a message on First expansion that is actually releasin interesting cards?
    Quote from LucasPassado >>

Am I the only one that feels that this is one of the first expansions that has been releasing potentially very "good" cards overall? Basically no card revelead until now feels too weak and all them feel good without looking super op.

Would definitely disagree that no revealed card feels weak. The warrior scheme is a candidate for worst card ever released. And there are definitely others that won't see play in any meaningful way.

That said, the last few days of reveals contain interesting cards so I am cautiously hopefully for the set.

Comments from George Martin is the series will have a 'bitter-sweet' ending. That doesn't sound like the 'superhero' ending you are predicting. But I guess we'll see.

posted a message on How many packs to get a complete set?
    Quote from Banterfish >>
    Quote from Akrosian94 >>

You get a legendary every 20 packs, so it would take, on average, 460 packs to get all legendaries only by opening packs. A complete set costs 56,940 dust. Dusting a full pack gives, on average, 100 dust so it would take 570 packs to get the full set IF you dust all the contents of the pack. Obviously, getting card you don't own pushes the average dust value of a pack significantly (getting a legendary mean you are saving 1600 dust, or 16 packs equivalently). The truth is that there isn't a fixed number of packs needed to get a full collection. A good estimate is probably around the 250 packs as you said but you may get there before that, or after.

Isn’t the pity timer set to 40? If you’re pulling one every 20, I’m jealous!

20 is average luck. 40 is worst possible luck and really sucks when it happens.
