He's actually right. If you play this card, your opponent win, so it is technically a very good card for him.

Simple fix I would suggest. Just move it out of the cardpool of random spells that can be generated.

I can already hear Ben Brode saying that such a fix would be confusing because it would not be clear that Ice Block is no longer in the universe of possible random drops.   They changed Bane of Doom for the same reason - it used to only draw specific (and terrible) daemons.
Simply add to the text of Ice Block (cannot be generated as a random spell.).

To remove iceblock from ANY spell generator is indeed a brilliant idea. :D

But blizzard is probably gonna move it to Hall of Fame anyway.. That's always been their idea of a "fix".

Blizzard: "Something is broken? Hall of Fame ! " :))

That would be a shame tbh. Like I said I really like the card it opens up an interesting approach in some games. But like I said only as a one of or at max two in one deck.
The problem is, this card is so overpowered that it's restricting mage design by a lot. Amongst other cards that have been since then moved to hall of fame or nerfed like Master of Disguise. If Blizzard already expect tu put Ice Block in the next hall of fame, they pretty much have decided it since a few months and designed the future expansions accordingly. They already designed Arcane Artificer which is a great control healing card and you might expect more of them.

If charge mechanics didn't exist aggressive decks and minion based combo decks would be almost non existent because their win condition becomes WAY, way more inconsistent.

So, when Pirate Warrior or Aggro druid wins turn 4, it's thanks to Leeroy ?
Pirate warrior is a strong tempo deck that has a lot of damage from hand in the form of weapons and spells like herioic strike, upgrade and mortal strike. A fiery war axe could be considered a 3 attack minion with charge - should weapons be removed too? Of course not. The charge minions seen in pirate warrior (leeroy jenkins, ko'kron elite and patches the pirate) aren't inherently broken in my opinion, they just seem unfair to play against in conjunction with other cards (southsea captain) and effects (weapons/buffs, from-hand damage).
None too familiar with aggro druid lists, but afaik they only run patches as their charge minion, right? It's not the fact that a 1/1 charge itself is broken; again, it's in conjunction with other effects that make it seem unfair to play against when he's buffed beyond the reach of early removal and steadily doing insane amounts of chip damage because of it.
Charge minions are only the most visible sign of a bigger problem with hearthstone's design. Go ahead and join your lynching party, but I guarantee, true to people's redditor nature, it'll be something else come next week.
Your first point hits the fact that weapons should be considered like Charge and they should not be removed. You have some kind of a point here, Except, in the history of Hearthstone, 15 cards in relation with Weapons and charge have been nerfed. They have been the most nerfed cards in the past 3 years, even Blizzard recognized their mistakes and they're even thinking putting Stonetusk Boar in the Hall of Fame, you wouldn't do it if charge wasn't overpowered ! You're talking about Fiery War Axe not being a problem when Blizzard themselves nerfed it 4 months ago ! You're also stating Leeroy Jenkins isn't broken when half of the decks of the current World Championship runs this card, this card has even eliminated players after being topdecked !
You're saying patches isn't broken without Southsea Captain when Patches saw play for 2 years in tier1 decks without it. Southsea Captain only makes a broken card even more broken.
And finally you say that Charge isn't the only problem in Hearthstone, and I completely agree, but this thread talks about charge, and so did I.
If you ask me what should be changed about the game, it shouldn't allow mana cost reduction below 1 like Summoning Portal, so no more Razakus or infinite fireballs bullshits. Charge shouldn't be able to hit face & spells should either aim for minions or face (like Mind Blast or Flame Lance but not offer both. And if want to launch a discussion about these mechanics, i'll answer it gladly, But it's not because Charge isn't the only problem that we shouldn't be allowed to talk about it.

Not removed, but the charge mechanic should become Charged Devilsaur

There's no really strategy, it's just pure RNG encounter, you need him not to mill your best cards (like treasures) and not get too lucky with Voidcaller & Bane of doom, Everytime he gets Mal'ganis or Doomguard off of those, I insta lose.

Since you're on a clock, the best strategy I found to beat him is... to get the treasure Wish which is completely overpowered.

how do you want me to agree with you when u are saying this.

What do you mean? On an empty board, it isn't good. Simple as that
     Brawl, Blizzard, Hellfire, Dragonfire potion
All these cards are bad on empty board. So, they're bad cards ?

Actually, the day Blizzard bankrupts and Hearthstone ceases to exist, Hearthstone will still live through fan-made replica as it already exists nowadays. You can play Hearthstone without running the original game, you just do not have the animation side of the game but the cards will definitely still exists.

Yeah, if you don't play any 1-2-3 mana beasts, this card is insane. But then you lose turn 4.

6 mana Barnes that summons full stats minion.

    How is this bad?

Oh yeah, it's "doesn't fit in current warrior decks" bad, I forgot how shitty people are (including myself at times) at reviewing new cards.

Because Barnes is, at worst, a 4 mana 4/5 worth of stats.
This card can be a 6 mana 1/3 or 3/3 if you're playing a Control Warrior deck with Acolyte of Pain or Ghouls. Of course, you could choose to play without low mana cost minions, but I think this would be suicidal to play Control Warrior after Fiery War Axe nerf, without cards like Ravaging Ghoul, Acolyte of Pain or Armorsmith.

So it's Y'Shaarj, without the body, and it's only one time. Seems pretty bad, then !

This would be really good for Druid and their EZ Big deck.

posted a message on Most FUN deck to play AGAINST

I love to play against Control Warlock, because their cards are fair and you can play around them (which is why it's not much played...). You can't play around cards like Dragonfire Potion, Devolve or Vilespine Slayer. It's way more enjoyable to play around cards like Defile or Shadowflame because they are interactive with the board and you feel you won because of your decisions and not whether your opponent drew it or not.
