I'm of the opinion that Corruption is a great card, it's good for removing those tough early game minions.
But part of that is that corruption is cheap. honestly I have trouble thinking how to use this card, maybe you play it on enemy taunt minions, since they tend to have low attack but high health.
Weirdly slow card. What do you want to steal with it? Maybe hit a Deathwing because opponents don't have a hand after Deathwing, and you take 12 - but boi, that can't be a viable tactic. You can't seriously try to target a let's say Ysera when they just bounce it back in hand with a generated spell of hers. Or Silence effects like other mentioned here. Shaman just Evolves and keeps going.
What could be an excellent target is a Spikeridged Steed'ed minion that has Lifesteal. It is annoying to remove, so just take it yourself and the opponent needs to deal with it. It could also heal you back up because you spent 6 mana doing nothing for a turn.
Niche cards don't have to be bad cards. But this doesn't seem to be a staple card at all. Smaller minions can be stolen way easier.
Glad I'm not the only one who sees this. Almost my exact thoughts. It's too niche to be consistent and against most opponents by T6 if I'm behind d on board I'd rather just have a Dragonfire potion then die the next turn from doing technically nothing.
Mark my words that in constructed this card will just be a dead card in your hand more often then not or be played sub optimally just trying to survive. It is not a swing card or conveniently playable, only under strict and rare circumstances will it help to actually win games.
I can only imagine cards with good effects are worth it. Something like Taunt and Deathrattle minions, since most of the time they don't have huge attack but are annoying to remove. From a meta-call point of view, I'd also say no.
I mean sure, we will see a video highlight where the best minion from opponents changes side and win against them. But how often will you find matchups like that in constructed. I'd rather prefer Cabal Shadow Priest plus maybe a tech card to lower attack for a turn and steal something worth stealing immediately.
Btw is the stolen minion ready to attack at your turn?
Imo the difference between this and Mind control is that you can't take a countermeasure against mind control. It just steals your minion. This one gives time to the opponent to trade or suicide his own minion while he both get some value from it by trading or even activating its deathrattle and also while negating you your 6 mana spell. I know that also means the spell was not used in a proper scenario... but still which scenario will be good to cast that spell?
I really like the card though. Mind control, even though it's not a really meta card, is nasty. Aside from inmunity to spells or some mage's secrets it just ruin the fun of the game stealing some wins XD
Also Cabal Shadow Priest use the word "take" instead of "gain" so there is consistency until now. If the minion can attack the turn you gain control of it then it's even better than I thought
If this is how it will work this could be a win condition in Combo Priest.
...As Long as it doesn't have Charge, it is affected by Exhaustion... Still think that the above is correct, but SoundwaveVR had a Point with the wording.
Your point is valid, that's how it usually is, so I guess we'll just have to wait for clarification, no matter how logical our arguments may seem. Blizzard decides how the card actually works.
Some shitty lines of thought I already saw in this thread:
'Mind Control is better and doesn't see play' double wrong here, as Mind Control is worse AND does see play.
'Priest can't afford a turn 6 do nothing card' wow. Which power turn 6 play Priest does have? Aside from Dragon Potion which you don't want to play in the same matches you'd want this new spell?
Come on guys. This one is a golden answer specially for high value 4 attack mininons such as Ysera, Steed buffed minions and so on. 1 of in every deck which would bother to run Mind Control to begin with.
I think it's more "force player to kill/silence minion before end of turn" sure, you can freeze it like some suggested but against a mage this is utterly useless. They have all kinds of fireball spells and stuff xD
I would still say it's "Playable" kinda.

Spellslinger: Does he sling spells or do his spells linger?
People saying they will just trade their minions away, LOL. Yeah, that might be a problem, but only if you are a mindless idiot who plays this when that is a possibility.
Overall, it certainly is a slow card, but it is an entire 4 mana less than MC and that card sees some play. This might be a replacement, although as a priest player I dont really like either card. If we get some good neutral freezing this could be pretty good, and that seems likely since this now makes three classes that can really use freeze effects in this expac
Got the feeling that it's too slow. Spending 6 mana doing nothing on that turn with possible future reward that can be countered. It's fair since the opponents have a chance to react. For this to be playable you need a lot more HP than the game has as well as a nerf to every other single playable card in the game to make them fair as well. Dust.

its crap simple as.
Too slow, for it to see play the meta has to be at least 60% control, and it will never happen.
My magic will tear you apart!
One copy in every deck just cause of 4 attack minion. Depends on ur opponent if he want to trade or not. Simply as that.
Do it or do not , there is no try...
People is underrating this spell so much. Geez.

Why Priest is always that bad?
This is a card that it will take people some time to get on board with because what it does and why you want to do it isn't immediately apparent.
But it will be hated every bit as much as entomb was, maybe more.
Sleeper card
This has more of an impact than seed of corruption, but it has much the same problem.
i mean its looks ok, but it wont see play for its infinitely negative tempo on the turn you play it

Just seems a bit slow. Not too sure how I feel about it right now but I am not writing this off yet.

Wow, this could be an amazing combo card if next turn (or even the same) you give the minion more health and then you Inner Fire

Entomb was one of my favorite cards ever. This is just insulting. At least I won't have to craft another 2 epics.
