Except cards like Dark Arakkoa/Cult Sorcerer (+ maybe C'thun's Chosen for some Divine Shield deck ???), cause they could be playable in a different deck.
It seems like jades will always be better than c'thun for like a snowball control deck and we won't be getting more c'thun cards.
Or does c'thun have some hope? The only way i could see it playable is like a taunt warrior deck with some c'thun cards, but it seems like the one without c'thun is just better.
C'Thun is still viable, imo. I played a C'Thun deck last season and made it to rank 12. Which is better then I made this season ..this season I'm sitting around rank 18 and can't move out.
I climbed to 15 from 25 with a very cheap Warrior deck last season. No Vek'Lor or any other Legendary except C'Thun, just taunts and armor. Occasionally it's aggressive enough to beat a Jade Druid if you curve out on minions every turn. I've climbed to 15 with C'Thun Priest as well.
So you could still do something, but there are better options for pretty much every class.
I'm holding on to mine for a while, but if I really need some dust I just might dust my C'Thun stuffs.

Nature is the Day. Man is the Sun. Woman is the Moon. The Stone is the Sky. The Art is the Way.
I have many c'thun followers golden from old gods packs and Vek'lor so i'd gain quite a lot of dust and right now it's very clear there are better decks. I'm just wondering how could c'thun come back to the meta in the future, just doesn't seem possible.
I made it to rank 5 in MSOG with a JadeThun Druid. It didn't work so well in Un'Goro though. It depends on where you are on the ladder. You can still have fun and climb with C'Thun below rank 5, but for a legend run I can't see it working very well.
I am still playing one right now ocasionally, pretty fun:
There might be some "C'thun cores" sometime in the future if not in standard, it will be in will where C"thun is part of the deck but just a secondary part.
or that some C'thun cards will get further synergy with new mechanics that you could mix with them, Blizzard might decide to nerf jades some time in the future and C'thun could rise again as a viable archtype.. there are 2 more sets in standard..
TBH wouldn't make AAY decision at all about collection atm with new set comming..
As my general rule I disincant all gold cards. Gold card are unusefull but gives you many dust in order to craft things that you need. I don't have any gold card. Only gold cards received by leveling the classes. But in this way I was able to keep all the legendary that I found. I haven't disincated any legendary.
I do the same. The ONLY game I actually worry about "golden" cards is Magic Duels, because you pay for the shinies with gold and have over 30000 gold saved up since they discontinued the game.
Who knows what the future holds, there will probably be some mechanics and interactions that will make it viable again. For example, Rogue has problems making it to the late game to utilize it properly and that may change, etc.
I think a C'Thun Priest package will come into existence once Frozen Throne is released. If Spirit Lash heals face individually for each minion hit, it offers fantastic synergy with Hooded Acolyte and can grow your C'Thun very quickly against a decent board. Even if it doesn't, you can still Circle of Healing after for the same effect. Spirit Lash makes it possible to assemble a very compact package to fit into a deck as a finisher (no need for Acolyte + Wild Pyromancer + spell + Circle anymore). 2x Hooded Acolyte, 2x Spirit Lash, and C'Thun. The rest of the deck can be traditional Control Priest, and Shadow Visions ensures that your C'Thun-growing escapades are a lot more flexible than before.
If all you play are netdecks then yes, probably you won't use cthun again, it could happen but is really unlikely!
You can try to have fun with the set as well, I have been playing a Cthun Quest Warrior that is for me really fun and there are other uses for the cards in hybrid cthun + something decks that can work, by that's only if you want to experiment and you find fun on that.
It's not worth it to dust them unless they're dupes no matter what. You can't be sure there will be no synergy (not named synergy obviously) before it rotates and Wild is still a thing.
I have one deck for the battlecry quests.... sure, you can dust it like you wrote, but i dont really think that you get enoth dust from it that it is worth it. Something just tells me that in the future we might get something to make them good again.
Why? Blizz sells them for $$ in the shop later. If there is no real reason to buy them, then they dont make money. Seems solid to me that they will bring something out later to make them good again. Maybe we get some "handbuff effect count dubble" stuff... WHO KNOWS?
Ok, maybe you need the dust.. but ever played handbuff/K'Thun and got +5/5 on him? Thats fun you will dust as well.
I played C'thun druid every now and then the last few months and did quite well. It was extremly bad against quest rogue but quite playable against all other decks. I would really say that it was a solid 50% across the board. (I had a higher win rate because I mostly played at lower ranks, so my stats are diluted)
Edit: If you only play tier1 decks than there is a high chance that C'thun won't be up there again (but nobody can say for sure) but if you are also satisfied with rank2-3 decks than C'Thun could be up there again in some weeks.

but i don't have the regular versions of them

I think I might try this out upon release.
