If you keep the quest and go first you have two card slots and your first draw to ge both copies, kinda unlikely.. I think the quest reward is pretty strong when i got it right that it works like reno, but with 40 health instead of full health, or am i mislead? There will be definitivly many deathrattlt/N'zoth priests for sure^^
Priest is, historically, one of the few classes that doesent revolve around just playing a bunch of minons on curve. Guess they want to change that now, new players could be confused if different classes did different things.
On its own, and I specifically mean on its own, this card is not very good.
A 1/1 is a very weak statline for Priest, since Priest doesn't have any ping effects to let it trade up into 3/2s, making it a much worse tempo play compared to for example Babbling Book or Swashburglar.
A random card from your opponents deck is on average not particularly powerful. You'd be better off just including a strong card into your deck to begin with, rather than to try and get one from your opponent.
It dies to 1 damage, which most classes have easy access to.
Basically the reasons why 1 mana 1/1s saw very little play in the past (before the meta turned ultra-aggressive, and Patches synergy). They're just not impactful enough.
On the plus side it's a super cheap Deathrattle, so it really helps getting that quest finished ASAP. More importantly though it's great with N'Zoth, and it's an elemental (whatever that's worth, we don't know). It's a bad card with strong synergy, which means it's a good card for Deathrattle Priest and no other deck.
It should also be noted that's it's NOT a turn-1 play, since you will be playing your quest on turn 1.
You are going to be hard pressed to not find two copies of this card in a Priest deck. It's a flexible card, you can get the little guy before it turns into Silence bait. Plus copying a card from an opponent's deck is among one of the strongest abilities you can give to a Battlecry or Deathrattle. If there are playable 2 or 3 drop Deathrattle minions added into the expansion, suddenly Awaken the Makers is playable and becomes N'zoth Priest becomes a psuedo - Reno Priest.
Mark my words. Priest will be an absolute nightmare to face in Standard and will have the same boost Shaman had at Wrath of the Old Gods.
Shifting Shade is borderline decent at a 4/3 for 4, Thoughtsteal a card. This is 1/1 for 1, Thoughtsteal a card, increment Awaken the Makers, benefit from whatever Elemental synergy will exist, and pseudo-Taunt since your opponent risks it getting buffed if it hangs around on the board. Sick.
This, Mistress of Mixtures, and maybe even Zombie Chow in Wild will nitro-boost the quest. Playing her on curve might be a possibility after all.
I think its good. Kind of crazy that this is valued at the same mana cost as Tunnel Trogg. My god Tunnel Trogg was broken. The fact that it was never nerfed is a good reason for people to never play HS again.

Minor defense vs. pirates. Basically opening moments. The rest is more about the deathrattle.
Quest synergy.
N'zoth synergy and slightly better than Loot Hoarder because in late game, it won't fatigue you when you flood the board.
Works in N'Zoth, Quest, Thief priest archetypes (and there's a lot of crossover with these three); possibly Spell Priest and Highlander Shadowpriest. Unlikely to score dragons for Dragon Priest.
Vulnerable to other priests who can steal it.
Potential to turn into Jade Priest, Jaraxxus, etc.
"1 mana draw a card will always be relevant." -Amaz-
The fact that this has a 1/1 stats makes a good comparison to that rogue pirate card and babbling book.
I can already see that this is good; they're planning to make priest broken this time and replace shaman with it.
1 mana 1/1 get a card is good but not broken, what make shaman broken is a 1 mana 1/3 give you 5 or more damage before turn 4, I really hope standard never see this kind of minion again.
I like this card a lot better than the quest it supports. Sorta supports, kinda clunky that they are both (1) cost.
Nonetheless, this card is great. Sort of a free play on turn 1. If it challenges a Patches it's terrific, if it gets pinged, it's still pretty good.

Favorite Deck: Spell Damage Druid (Old days)
Favorite card: Ancient of Lore
Least favorite card: Ice Block
See ya!

not really a great card. I think it's ok, but will be a x2 include in priest quest decks.

1-Mana 1/1
Deathrattle: Add a random Tirion Fordring or Lord Jaraxxus to your hand.
Sounds good to me!

Well, Awaken the Makers just got a lot faster to complete.

Would be a bonus if you copy a deathrattle minion from their deck.

Definitely makes cut on Wild Priest Decks.
Nerfs Awaken the Makers but great card regardless.

Priest mirror will be interesting. I'll be running potion of madness to use it against my opponent.
Also, just realised you can roll one of these from maelstrom portal, or give your opponent one with hungry dragon.
