I have. I log in to do the Tavern Brawl, get the card back, and that's it. I've been playing Faeria instead which is far less frustrating, very generous for daily login plus quests, and a fairly respectful player base that doesn't spam emotes.

I tried Shadowverse and it's kinda fun, but that has its own issues too. Charge or "storm" is too powerful, less health, triple copies of legendaries, a few decks dominate the meta etc.

I feel like all of these card games would be better if no tier 0/1 decks existed. Metas revolve around most players copying tier 1 decks and everyone else being forced to make a direct counter in order to have a fair chance. It just makes the game stagnant and limits deck creation because they won't nerf clearly unbalanced cards.

Planned nerfs are only part of the way to fixing the current problems. Keleseth untouched, Scalebane untouched, Cubelock has no changes, Ultimate Infestation untouched, Spiteful Summoner untouched, Call to Arms untouched, Naga Sea Witch still busted, Jade Idol untouched. I can't take this game seriously when you can still pull off wins by turn 5 or turn 6 Spiteful Summoner into a Deathwing Dragonlord or some shit.

Same. Most of my losses come from high roll recruit decks. I played a game earlier where my Warlock opponent played Spiteful Summoner which hit Twisting Nether and gave them a Lich King. They emoted 'Well played' as if there was any semblance of skill in that. A different player was copying the Cube Warlock deck, got Doomguard, but didn't attack with it, just immediately killed it with Carnivorous Cube, and guess who won still? I just can't handle losing to such bad players and RNG time and time again.

Another 'fun' game where my Rogue opponent plays Fire Fly, Keleseth, Southsea Captain + pulls 3/3 Patches. They also took ages to make any of these plays. I'm out. Maybe I'll be back, maybe not.

    Good luck everyone.

How long is it going to take Blizzard to nerf Corridor Creeper? Blatantly OP in constructed and in Arena. I should definitely get punished for trading and using board clears instead of vomiting my hand on the board. I played against a Priest today running the Pirate package and 2 Creepers. Close to quitting again.

posted a message on Patches! Patches! Patches!!!!!!!

Patches gets the blame for the most part because he's the earliest snowball card in the game. Look at the winrates of decks running Patches and compare games where they drew him in the opening hand vs. pulled from the deck. If you hate aggro decks like I do, and hear "I'm in charge now!" in the first minute of every match, it starts to get really old and fast. I hate cards like Scavenging Hyena, Mana Worm, Prince Keleseth, Vicious Fledgling, and Frothing Berserker for the same reason. Knowing that the game can be over because they pulled Patches, and/or got a powerful opener from low cost minions (which is ridiculous), while you have a hand full of cards that cost 4+ Mana and no answer is incredibly frustrating.

posted a message on This Is The Best Meta Ever?

I'm glad you're enjoying it. I do really like some of the new cards, and have been working towards making new decks for all of the classes, but I'm already starting to run into the same decks over and over, despite only hovering between Rank 20 - 15. Lost two games yesterday on turn 4 to an aggro murloc Paladin and a secret Mage. This very site calls that Mage deck 'fun'. Lots and lots of Rogues all running the legendary weapon and same deck list and every other game is a dragon Priest. Any potential creativity is being choked out of the meta by the same oppressive cards from before.

I feel like I'm unlikely to enjoy this expansion until the next rotation and/or round of nerfs. I opened maybe 40 odd packs and deleted all of my previous decks to try out some new cards and ideas. Most of the games so far are against slightly tweaked versions of the same decks from KFT. So boring to still be playing against Jade Druid, Razakus Priest, Secret Mage, Evolve Shaman, anyone with the pirate package, Keleseth, Scalebane, and Bonemare.

P.s. Duskbreaker is a bullshit card that Priest didn't need. The only good thing is it means there's slightly less chance of Netherspite Historian discovering 50 Drakonid Operatives.

Legitimately though, what is a person supposed to do about Dead Man's Hand?

Dirty Rat, Coldlight Oracle, Lich King cards (Death's Grip), Priest stealing mechanics, warlock can burn key cards or discard them with the combo, board pressure. It's a harder win for control decks, but I've had games where I've burned their N'Zoth or Dead Man's Hand, then it's gg.

posted a message on Why does Blizzard hate Hunter so much?

I think it's largely because even a slight power creep can quickly make Hunter OP due to the strength of the basic set and hero power. I'd really like them to push Hunter further away from Smorc, with more decent control tools. If you consider that it's not that difficult for a F2P midrange deck to reach Legend, Blizzard needs to be careful not to push too many cheap early game cards like Crackling Razormaw and Bearshark.

posted a message on Have you pre-ordered Kobolds & Catacombs?

Undecided. I think the pre-order should only be available after the full set is shown. I'm not completely sold on the Legendary weapons yet either. Fun and powerful weapons have been a gamble ever since Pirate Warrior arrived on the scene. Medivh gets played a lot still, but I still tech in either Harrison Jones or an Ooze and normally destroy it the turn after it's played.

posted a message on Don't you think Secrets should be different card type like Heroes ?

I like the idea. It would make sense to also keep the Quest separate as well. I know it's rare for a Quest to be countered, but you probably remember when Quest Rogue was everywhere, and some mages tried to get a Counterspell up on turn 1 to stop it. As much as I disliked Quest Rogue, it was a dumb interaction.

posted a message on Giving Hunter card draw?

Hunter has card draw, it's just that most choose not to use it. I normally run one Flare minimum, Stitched Tracker is an excellent card that's often better than draw a random card from your deck, Starving Buzzard was nerfed for good reason, but even one of or a Cult Master in a deck is useful, Quick Shot in Wild, Tracking can be better than draw a card at times, Jeweled Macaw is a great value card, Deathstalker Rexxar means that you can basically use all of your Mana every single turn to summon an endless stream of beasts. Then there's neutral card draw such as Loot Hoarder (maybe with a N'Zoth Deck), Bloodmage Thalnos, Acolyte of Pain, Coldlight Oracle, The Curator etc.

posted a message on New Warlock Legendary - Rin, the First Disciple

I know it's going to be extremely difficult to play all of the seals in most matches, but I'll definitely try and make it work. Unfortunately it works much better in Mage or Priest (discover Rin with Kabal Courier or steal it through Thoughtsteal etc.) as you can take advantage of spell discounts through Radiant Elemental and Sorcerer's Apprentice.

At this point they should just remove emotes. I've tried greeting many players, and most won't respond back. Perhaps they assume I'm BMing them because I have a good hand, and players have done that to me, so fair enough, but I feel like it's intrinsically linked to the state of the game at the moment. No positive player interaction, and I'm more likely to just concede a game, than think my opponent actually deserves a 'well played'.

I can't recall the last time I've played against someone with an interesting deck of their own creation, so I haven't added someone outside of Hearthpwn in ages. A friend request now will almost certainly be followed by abuse. I was playing a different region on my account where I don't have a lot of cards and was back at Rank 25. On my way to Rank 20, I faced three Keleseth decks, a Razakus Priest, a Big Priest, and a Jade Druid. I'm really struggling to enjoy this game lately. There's no break from the overpowered netdecks.

Marin the Fox is a cool card, but since his release it's singlehandedly giving rise to a ton of extra Priests on ladder, and most of them are the frustrating Dragon/Inner Fire kind. I've also come across some of the greediest decks I've seen in a long time.
