Am I the only one that's a bit bothered it's a chess piece? So you possible have a damaged Ragnaros the Firelord get destroyed by a tiny chess piece? Very unepic.
Besides that I like the card and the mechanic behind it, though I'm not sure it's a card Paladin needs. It already has Ragnaros, Lightlord, Forbidden Healing, and Lay on Hands. Imo Paladin is already set with slow high mana-cost cards. I'd rather see more (agressive) mid range tools.
Its a cool card and is probably at least decent but its definitely not op as some people are suggesting since Paladin just has so many 1 mana spells. Many of which are next to useless in a control deck.
This card seems cute, but I don't think it will see play because it's a Paladin card, which is sad, because it's very creative. Paladin has weak spells overall, and the discover mechanic is not going to work well in this case. If you could assure yourself of a Lay on Hands or Avenging Wrath, it would be great, but the likelihood of Redemption, Eye for an Eye and Humility choice is too high. Not a bad arena card, but this is the first of the new cards that I am confident will not be especially good.
I'm thinking I'd rather just play azure drake. I guess this is better in a control/control match, so if you are seeing a lot of control this might be a good choice.
Would you play this or sylvanas is the question and its easyly sylvanas. Maybe this is good enough for 1 off in reno but over all mediocre card that propably wont see competetive play.
Ethereal Conjuror worked out pretty well. Because paladins have lower spell quality and less spell synergy, I don't think this is quite as powerful, but it's got to be worth 2 slots in some Control Paladin decks.
Really neat card, but the abundance of 1-cost spells is what really limits the card. I mean, even if you got to choose from the 2+ costed cards it'd be so much better. But as is, 11/29 cards cost 1 mana and almost all suck for a control paladin since they really aren't the kinds of cards you want or need. If you could guarentee choosing between cards like Enter the Coliseum, Lay on Hands, and Consecration every time it'd be an auto-include. But as is, as much as it makes me really sad to say, I'm predicting disappointment.
It might see play in a heavily control pala, but it's like searching in a junkyard. Sometimes you find something cool, (Lay on hand), other times something bad, but salvageable as heal (Anyfin), and the average result of 4 heal+ a card, which basically better than an apothecary, but in other times... you'll hate yourself for using this card.
This card is good for the card advantage but bad for reliable healing. How many times are you going to get offered up 1 cost secrets? Sure a lay on hands will be amazing just for the heal if you are behind, but there is a reason they put this in paladin of all the other classes. Compare to Ethereal conjurer with the 6/3 body, 1 less casting cost and no heal, and you can see why this wont be game breaking in paladin. Now if it had been in rogue or hunter it would be insane.
And I think people may overestaminate the chance of bad cards, because if it's 40% randomly to get something good, it's ~80% to get something good with the discover.
Seriously this could've been perfectly balanced at 5 mana. It might see some play but really disappointing that it's 6 mana and there are far better cards you would want to run such as cairne, black knight, sylvanas. Etc....
I think this card is bad. Most of the times you'll heal for 1 and get a bad secret out of it and at that mana cost with that weak of a body you're better of running Guardian of Kings who has better body and heal that beats the average on this one with just 1 mana more. I don't think Paladin's needed more heal anyway, I would've liked another Divine Shield giver or something related to it... hell I would've love this one more if it was 6 mana 4-4- with Divine Shield :D
P.S. This can be good with Brann and in arena.

Galavant Animation
Shame Paly has too many cheap spells to make this a reliable way to heal. Imagine every time I use it I get to choose between three secrets ;(
Playable card but verry slow thaught it can heal.

So it's around 11% chance to get the exact spell you need.
And for each card discovered it's probably somewhere between 40-50% chance it's one of the useless cards.
This is just a guestimate, but I'm going to look at the numbers more closely tomorrow
Unicorn . . . . Paladin.

We can live without pizza, but then, what for?
