Dark Peddler is a 2 mana 2/2. The meta will be tempodriven again sooner or later so board is much more important then healing ,and its NOT a Healbot. On average you need a cheap spell that hepls you out and even in a controll match the chances to draw only secrets or low impact spells are too damn high for this card beeing good.
Also you cant play it in N´zoth Pally cause there are more important 6 drops and you have to play it in a control (/midrange?) deck . (maybe Yogg tho.)
Something is wrong with this game, paladin heals better than priest and priest stolen better than rogue...
To be fair, Paladins are Priests who take up arms to serve the Light. And Priests have been doing jerky nonsense sense Vanilla (Mindcontrolled off cliffs and stuff)
Okay, this card actually isn't hard to rate, it's garbage. This should a 6/6 minion, or "discover a spell that cost 2 or more"
6/6 and discover a spell and heal a bit, all for 6 mana? Seriously?
I have a feeling you'll be eating your words in a couple of weeks. 4/4 is a perfectly fine body for this card.
Pro tip: Maybe you don't play it on curve.
Pro tip?? You have to play minions on curve against specific decks and in this case its super bad. The body that you play on curve matters most of the time more than the healing effect (for example against these types of decks that you find at high Legend ranks: OTK/ combo/ midrange/tempo/ control) only vs super aggressive decks it might come in handy , but dont forget there could be 3 times 1 mana spells!!
So yeah , why not make a 6 mana 6/6 discover a specific mana card (like Dark Peddler is a 2 mana 2/2) and skip the healing part?
In standard mode, paladins have 28 spells, the majority of which are underplayed and/or cost 1 mana. Of course, the fact that it can provide burst damage or buy you another turn is valuable, but it's like a really underwhelming Antique Healbot for a chance at a good spell. I think we'll see it around for a while, but I feel like this is better as a value generating card in arena than in standard.
But it's discover effect, avoiding the secrets is trivial. Btw compare to Ethereal Conjurer. 1 mana more and equal stats (worse but better stat line makes up for that), and you get the heal. Then compare to Antique Healbot, 1 mana +1/+1 = free spell.
Card quality = meta defining, but another Paladin heal won't change meta so can't vote that.

First, I did say "maybe." I will grant that there might be a situation where you are just desperate for a body. But more important, the chances that this will be your one and only option on turn 6 are very, very tiny. If you find it happening all the time, you've built the deck wrong.
No sense getting worked up about it, though. We'll know soon enough just how good this card is. Just remember as you review the new cards: Adventure cards have proven to be much better than expansion cards on average. This is entirely deliberate on Blizzard's part, and it does figure into their decisions during development and internal playtesting.
This card would be pretty good if it could discover any class spells. Can't think of many pricey paladin spells you'd actually want other than lay on hands or maybe avenging wrath.
Well, do you think you can use Forbidden to heal for more than 10 health in that game? Do you need that much extra heal in that machup? Is it worth the extra mana? I'd definitely go for Anyfin, except when it would overheal.

Notice how it says "discover a spell" not "discover a class spell"

Why couldnt they come up with better stats??

>Plays Ivory Knight
>Discovers Forbidden Healing and 2 secrets.
I'm calling it.
Okay, now a serious question... If you discover Forbidden Healing and Anyfin Can Happen, which one will you choose?
Always look on the random side of life.

I'm so mad at this card. This should have been a rogue card.
How is "Dust It!" an option when you can't disenchant it? Couldn't just change that to "Really Bad" to make sense?
