So I'm apparently bad at the game because I used my brain durin matches? Also, you do realize that what you listed also mostly applies to Midrange Hunter right? You do need to know when to overextend, you do need to know on turn 8, if it's better to use hero power instead of playing a Fiery Bat or something like that, you do need to maximize efficiency or else you'll run out of steam quickly. Knowing how to trade is a lot more complicated than "play minions and hit face until someone is dead"
Yeah any deck seems really simple when you put it that way.
lol. We all know u don't play Fiery Bat on turn 8, the only play is CoTW.
It's for that rare one in a million when you have to play a Savannah instead.
No, because all my other decks are random attempts at fun Control decks. Just because I attempt to have fun with the game doesnt mean I'm a bad player, and if it does then you're insulting almost every Hearthstone player.
So you're saying that knowing how to trade and all that is much simpler than "play minions, hit face until someone dies"? Something about that doesn't quite sound right. You still haven't explained why either is better than the other though.
If you're assuming that every deck takes the same exact types of knowledge of the game then you really need to learn more about the game.
Oh, look who suddenly knows what fun means! Good for you buddy
And I did explain why face hunter is more complicated than midrange hunter, I'm not gonna repeat myself
And I find Midrange Hunter fun, am I wrong for that? Since apparently fun isn't competitive or the universe will cave in or something.
Also, you gave me reasons that also applied to Midrange Hunter, so you didn't actually explain why it takes more thought process for either. You just explained why the class in general takes thought process.

Again, you finding it fun doesn't mean it's a "fun deck", you have a real problem with reading. And no, those don't apply to both, if you're prioritising hero powers in midrange hunter you're terrible
Yeah any deck seems really simple when you put it that way.
Once you have a good, extensive card knowledge and you learn the mechanics of the game, every deck is simple. And yes, midrange decks are generally the easiest to play. Which doesn't say much because, again, HS is a very easy game.
Hmmm. It's a bit OP, but Hunter would feel too weak without it.
If CotW got nerfed, we would have to bring back the buzzard UTH combo... if you remember that, it was better than CotW since it could be done early as turn 3 with coin and was good in the late game to refill your hand.
So wait me finding it as a fun deck doesn't mean it's a fun deck? Something seems off about that. I'm pretty sure that if I find its a fun deck, then to me it's a fun deck.
And just so you know, it's not always a good idea to throw every minion on the board. But then again, can you be horrible at a deck if you're playing a deck that requires no thought process. Since that deck apparently doesn't how can you be bad at it?
This entire thread has become nothing more than me having to repeat myself 20 times because the people who blindly hate Hunters are going to keep asking for a nerf to Call of the Wild for the same reasons I have proven to have no factual or logical basis at least 5 times in this thread. This thread is pointless and serves no actual purpose.
Actually it's easy to calculate why this card is clearly an overpowered card.
First, count the stats.
5+2+5 = 12 attack.
2+4+4 =10 health.
Is 12/10 minion split into 3 bodies, that has instant 5 damage, and a taunt body, for 8 mana, balanced? I think no.
Also provides you with "Beast" keyword, and provides a +1 atk buff for your current board.
I think everyone from this thread speaking this card is balanced as is would play it for 9 mana in each of their hunter decks, using 2 copies.
Also, this card is the sole reason why midrange hunter is so good vs warrior. The best AoE removal the warrior has (brawl) has a decent chance of leaving 4 attack body on the board. And it can't be stopped efficiently by any other warrior removal(you need to spend 3 cards to completely clear it).
That said, for me personally its not that much of a deal. I stopped taking hearthstone seriously some time after whispers of the old gods, when the yogg saron started to infiltrate the meta. Before the whispers I've reached legend several times(priest and rogue), after I just try to make quests and reach rank 5 in season. And the easisest way for me to reach rank 5 is, guess what? Play midrange hunter. It takes like 5-6 hours every month to reach rank 5 with this super fun deck. Then I happily close this game and launch Elder Scrolls Legends, which is much more deep and tactical game.
Anyfin requires a setup... That setup could take you drawing through 28 cards for it to be viable. The problem with CoTW is the value you receive in a tempo play. It surpasses any other turn 8 play in the game currently. Turn 8, summon 3 minions and essentially immediately regain board, or apply a lot of pressure. Think about what you are getting with it. turn 8, 1 card, 12 attack in total with buff, and 10 health to remove. 4 health minions that can't be removed easily by any single card other than flamestrike. It is by far broke, because when hunters do curve out they are unbeatable.
I still remember the Gahzrilla thread, it was the end of the world. Or how about the complaint thread about Hunter getting 2 legendaries in TGT (Acidmaw and Dreadscale) while other classes got 1, even though the 2 legends hunter got were the worst in the set. The bias is incredible, but yet these rank 20 players don't take their salt ridden illogical arguments to the appropriate thread but flood the forums with threads such as this.
I'm not in the nerf camp but that's a terrible comparison and you know it, CotW single-handedly raises hunter a tier where the other threads were complaints about bad cards from people bad at the game
In first week I can understand people don't see how broken and insany this card is but this point is so pathetic obvious like 2 + 2 = 4.
After see a hunter in each 2 or 3 matchs become clear the classes not even close to balance, I have to play 20 games to see a rogue or a warlock and all hunters run 2 copies of this OP crap because they love to cheat the game, at this point this card is beyond OP, is a cheat code, any card before this, nerfed or not, you have someway to win the game, here nothing, no matter what you do or not in entire game, hunter with 8 manas play this "I win the game" card and have absolutely nothing you can do about it.
I play before G&G expansion release and is the first time a card make me want to stop playing this game.

Your arguement is basically that it's op because I say/feel that it is. The fact is that there is no evidence or even a good arguement to show that it's op. This is why you keep seeing people in this thread repeating the same thing over and over again purposely ignoring the evidence and countless counter arguments to the contrary. the only thing leading you to the blind belief that Call of the Wild is overpowered is your own biases plain and simple.

Knowing when to go face or trade is harder than knowing how to trade.

CotW at least gives you time to prepare.
Nightblade Argent Lance Flame Imp
Argent Watchman Argent Squire Frost Giant
Aviana Hogger Snipe Sea Giant

And knowing when to go face and when to trade is still a part of Midrange Hunter, I hope you all realize that.
Ok this has become a very repetitive and boring conversation bye
Yeah, it really did about 3 or so hours ago. Hope you have a good rest of your day.

people hates cotw because hunter.
warriors can have their 1 mana removal, yogg is fine too.
but no, hunter is never allowed to have good cards

Cya!
The matter is easy: Would you run 2 copies of 9 mana CotW in your Hunter decks? Of course you do. The nerf to 9 would be fair.
Remember playing Control Shaman with Reincarnate shenanigans? No? It was fun, here's a refresher!
