As I have shown, Blizzard nerfed is solely because of the complaints of people who have absolutely no idea what they're talking about. Pointing this out and showing WHY those opinions are based on either a false premise or, like in Giantdwarf0's case, based on nothing more than personal bias . It is important to provide feedback. The nerf was unjustified and nerfing a class based on nothing but the opinions of the type of people who do not base their opinions on any kind of evidence or sound reasoning is a terrible design philosophy.
FU all who wanted the nerf, that was totally not necessary - just proofs that thoose who wanted is pure noobs who know nothing about the game nor card games.

I personally think the nerf was fine. CotW was incredibly undercosted and is still a very strong card. The way it is now, allows for some breathing room between Double Highmanes & Double CotW's, which feels super unfair when playing against. It's also not fun for the Hunter, either you play those cards in a row and win, or you probably won't win.
Maybe Hunter is not in the best spot right now (which I'm not even so sure about), but that wouldn't be necessarily a valid reason to keep CotW at 8 mana.
Well, he has a point there. Noone wants to nerf CotW at the moment :p
There are, in fact you can see some people in this very thread STILL want Call of the Wild nerfed to 10 mana or removed altogether even though it's been dropped from the majority of Hunter decks (as few viable Hunter decks as there are)

If it were even still strong it'decks would run at least one of them, however they have been dropped from pretty much all Hunter decks now. There was breathing room between Highmane and Call of the Wild already. The statistical likelihood that you had Savannah Highmane on 6 and then 7 then Call of the Wild on turns 8 and 9 were incredibly low. Remember that Hunters don't have any good way to draw and/or thin their deck. The way they could have remedied hunters relying on having to curve out perfectly is giving Hunters a better toolkit. Hunter's toolkit is abysmal right now. Weak AoE, weak large minion removal, no real catch-up mechanics, etc. Fixing those issues would have allowed Hunters flexibility they haven't had ever really, instead Blizzard goes the route of taking Hunters out at the knees by weakening the one strength they had There is a reason why mid-range Hunter (and Hunters just in general) are nearly non-existant.

They aren't as they no longer are even able to fill the role they once excelled at (punishing greedy decks) while gaining no ground against their weaknesses.
but that wouldn't be necessarily a valid reason to keep CotW at 8 mana.
The fact that it was fine as it was I a reason to keep it at 8. Like i said, if Hunters would have been giving more toolkit options then they wouldn't have had to rely on Call of the Wild and curving out perfectly as their only play style and that could have been done with the new expansion. Allowing Hunters more options would have meant that a Call of the Wild would likely have been cut (as well as likely cards like Animal Companion which would likely be replaced by more sturdy and reliable cards) making Hunter a bit slower but more consistent as a deck.

It would be pretty hard to argue that Blizzard nerfs are based on public complaints. If that were the case Patron would have been nerfed a whole lot sooner and secret paladin would have been gutted. Blizzard nerfs cards for a variety of reasons, and in the case of COTW it is likely so they can give hunter other strong cards and not have to worry about the class getting too OP.
pls 9 mana cotw is too op stop ask this 9 mana is a bit same as 10 mana now not many can combo with 9 mana cotw now ,cotw it total fine now why people start about this topic again can we ask about unplayable card like ball of spider or something pls :P

I disagree... I think they waited so long on patron specifically because it was only a public complaint - they've said their statistics showed that grim patron is just an average deck, the same with yogg - yogg is only barely above average, which is also why it took half a year to nerf.

Patron had more than just public complaints. It's winrate wasn't amazing, but it did cause issues as far as the meta on ladder and in tournaments.

Should you craft/disenchant (Golden) Sylvanas or Ragnaros?
