For me it's Fandral Staghelm. I wanted that card to be good so bad.
Holy crap, do we live in the same world? This card just gets a very good value just by activating ONE C.O. When he triggers two, it's already insane for its cost. More and the card just won you the game by itself… It's just that shaman being so consistent it makes the druid a little bit pale on the same spot.
My disappointment so far is Hogger. It's not that much of a disappointment, he is actually really decent, but I thought he would really see more plays.
Well, no one thought he would be good, so it's hard to be disappointed...
I've been most disappointed in Crazed Worshipper (and C'Thun in general I guess) and Master of Evolution. All of the Shaman minions are so big already that Recombobulating them isn't that great.
It definitely has to be The Boogeymonster. When I opened a golden version of it, I immediately received not one but two congrats: "Wow you just got the most worthless legendary!"
In a fit of rage I dusted it immediately without even admiring the animated artwork.
I was expecting something more than just pure stats. :/ Kind of disappointing, given the cool boss fight in WoW where you had to kill the twin emperors nearby each other.
C'Thun cards by themselves are just vanilla minions with stats. So yeah.

Both Twin Emperor Veklor and C'Thun have special effects, they don't just have pure stats.
Just wanted to point out that I called cthun being not as good as people thought back since the reveal. I also called that warrior would be the only viable cthun deck.
In short, next time listen to my predictions. :P
Actually I think I'll create a thread about these predictions later.
I'm a bit disappointed by the impact some class legendaries had. Princess Huhuran, Herald Volazj and Hallazeal the Ascended. They're strong in stats and allow creative deckbuilding but don't fit that well in current archetypes for their classes (Hallazeal being a bit different, I think Control Shaman could be a strong deck but as OP said, why play such long games when you can just smash faces with that 7/7 son of a gun?)
I also expected Cho'gall to have more of an impact, but I think the card is underrated. I run him in Renolock and he fits nicely, you have room for a solid seven drop now that Dr. Boom rests in Wild plus the combo with Siphon Soul and Shadowflame are awesome.

What I really meant to say was, the card wasn't good enough to be insane, nor stop druid from falling into bottom tier. Perhaps its more due to my overly high expectation more than the card itself.

The prob isn't Druid, imho, it's rather Shaman being too strong. Basically: why should we play druid whilst there is shaman that offers so much better with a comparable design?

Ok I have 2 cards, with one being more serious than the other.
So the first one, less serious, Duskboar. I saw this and facepalmed so hard. Mana & Attack reduced Magma Rager, is still gonna be as bad as Magma Rager... I can't tell if they were serious or not when they made it. We just have to wait and see... If Dawnboar appears next expansion, i'm gathering a squad, and we RIOT.
Now the more serious one that really let me down was Shadowcaster. First of all, i'm not saying she's bad, her effect is strictly better than using Herald Volazj, unless your using some weird board flood N'Zoth deck... Anyway, I know with an effect that strong, there would have to be a downside, although for me, I couldn't really tell (Don't judge me, but before I realized what class Gahz'rilla was supposed to fight in, I thought he was perfectly OP slaying within Hunter decks. I've learned my lesson...). I thought all you needed was a good target, some stealth, and a good stall tactic so you can play her the next turn. What I didn't realize, was how complicated she was to work with. 5 mana is some hefty mana youre playing there, and ignoring her stats, it limits how you play her. Not to mention that games almost never turn out how you expect it to be, so you may have included her to do some cool combo, but when you actually get there in the game, you realize that she may have to be sacrificed to do some other combo to save your game. In all, there are too many steps, and too many possibilities for me to feel satisfied when using her... I still use her, but it never really works out the way I want
TLDR:Shadowcaster has a great effect, but she's almost too expensive to utilize efficiently, and mostly ends up having to be used with a different minion than you would have planned...
I feel you there. By my estimation, midrange Hunter is still tier 2.

You all seem to be forgetting The Boogeymonster .

Definitely Y'sharj.
C'thun I crafted a few expensive cards to play with him day one like crazed worshipper and Twin Emperor I regret both decisions
The Boogeymonster, very disapointed with blizzard, i though it would be a must one, but now ppl say is the worst card.
A wise man once said "don't be salty, be cool" "My Weekly Card Design Competition entry below"
Yogg-Saron. Hate this card so much, such a stupid design
Cho'gall and the 5/9 Taunt were overhyped.
C'thun. An expansion with no new mechanics other than buffing him and rng and the "new" mechanic falls short.

Thank you Blizzard.
People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.
