Hi, I'm Ethylbenzene bringing you another class based on A Song of Ice and Fire/Game of Thrones. As always Fans please enjoy, critics please comment, and any and all suggested feedback is welcome and wanted. Below is the hero, hero power, ten basic cards, six commos, five rares, three epics, and one legendary for set with all explanations, balancing, and flavor in spoilers tags. I appreciate all comments and please let me know which cards are your favorite, which you feel are bland, and which you feel should be rebalanced. Please refrain from any spoilers in the comments. If you haven't seen the previous week's heroes check them out below.
The fifth hero is King Stannis Baratheon of the royal Baratheons of the Stormlands. Unlike the Lannisters and the Arryn/Baelishs, the Baratheons do not introduce a new mechanic, but instead rely on Silencing minions. Their minion-based arsenal is primed to outlast and overwhelm their opponents, and as they are led by the man without mercy, that is precisely what they will do. He also has a lot of synergy with the "Knight" tribe.
Hero and Hero Power
Stannis Baratheon- Unlike every other class, Stannis is the only choice for the Baratheon class. Ignoring Robert's army of bastards, the three siblings; Robert, Stannis, and Renly are the only Baratheons left with a small nod to Princess Shireen. Robert was a hero in his age but on-screen he has digressed to a fat, drunk, cruel king without much screentime. On the other hand, Renly has all the properties that make a good king, but his untimely death, lack of heroic feats, and little screen time prevent him from being a suitable representative. Or being in the class at all (Don't worry, I've put him with the Tyrells). Stannis has been a present and central character in every book and is the current head of the Baratheon clan, making him the only representative.
Grind Teeth- Stannis is known by friends and foes to grind his teeth whenever anything he is forced to do annoys him. The idea behind this hero power is that when Stannis grinds his teeth he is ignoring all the bullshit and excuses in front of him thereby stripping a minion down to their statline. This ability to silence any minion for 2 mana is an immensely powerful effect that Stannis can use both as a boon against the enemy and as a way to prevent his allies from hindering him. The hero power is balanced by being the only hero power that can't do anything on an empty board.
Legendary Card
Melisandre of Asshai- Melisandre is both Stannis's most powerful ally and his greatest foil towards his coronation. She is a priestess of the Red God R'hllor and is intolerant of any other beliefs or gods, often alienating Stannis's potential supporters. One of the first glimpses of Melisandre's power is when she births shadow assassins that resemble Stannis. Therefore her card's effect is birthing these shadow assassins whenever you summon a minion. So if you summon a Chillwind Yeti, she summons a 4/1 Yeti for you as well. These 1-health minons can be removed, but combined with her on-curve 5/4 stats they present a very real threat.
Epic Cards
Lightbringer-Lightbringer is the fabled sword of Azor Ahai, which Melisandre believes Stannis is the reincarnation of, and it's inherant light allows it to slay Others(White Walkers). Lightbringer is the premier weapon in a Spellpower deck, as it's spell-like quality scales it's damage with Spell Damage. So if you somehow controlled a Malygos, Lightbringer would be a 7/4 weapon! In a more realistic sense it would be a 3/4 or a 4/4 weapon, but a very powerful removal tool for a Spellpower Baratheon.
Destroy Usurpers- Stannis cannot wrap his mind around others assuming they have a right to the Iron Throne seeing all of them (mainly Joffrey, Balon, Robb, and Renly) as usurpers to his throne. He invokes some blood magic by burning leeches full of King's Blood to attempt to kill three of them. This spell gives all the enemy minions a Deathrattle to summon a Leech, which as shown in the tokens section, is a 0/1 minion that deals 1 damage to a random enemy minion. These leeches can quickly kill the enemy or kill each other. Don't trust in blood magic.
King Robert Baratheon- King Robert Baratheon is back in all his fury to damage literally everyone who sees him. He's similar to a Dread Infernal but a lot more powerful. As a downside his 8 attack and 5 health make him very vulnerable.
Rare Cards
King's Judgment- Stannis loves to judge, and he is the rightful king. King's Judgment is a single-target Lightbomb coupled with a card draw. A very strong soft removal.
Ours is the Fury- Ours is the Fury is the Baratheon motto and describes Robert's fury in battle and Stannis's numerous slight percievals. It is also one of Stannis's most powerful cards. On a full board of injured allies, ours is the fury gives the hero 14 damage for 4 mana. Of course this requires having 7 minions that don't have 1 health on the board and probably comboing it with a card such as King Robert Baratheon or Storm Knight. Still, the potential is there.
Burning Strike- A really powerful Earth Shock will kill most minions.
Anchored Warship- Anchored Warship is a miniature Ancient Watcher and synergizes very well with the Hero Power. When used in conjunction with the hero power it is a 3-mana 3/3 with the mana-cost spread out over 2 turns. Similar to Ancient Watcher, it can also be Taunted allowing the Baratheon class a weapon against early-game aggression.
Common Cards
Firestorm- Firestorm is the main AoE for the Baratheon's and is basically an Arcane Explosion combined with half of Savage Roar. It is a very powerful conjunction that will easily clear the board if you have minions.
R'hllor's Blessing- R'hllor is a very cruel god and according to Melisandre demands many sacrifices to be appeased. Of course the other Red Priest we see, Thoros of Myr, sacrifices no one to the flames. R'hllor's Blessing allows you to sacrifice one of your minons to gain 10 health for survivability.
Queen's Men- The Queen's Men are a subset of Stannis's soldiers who have fully converted to the Red God and are seemingly more loyal to Melisandre than to Stannis. Davos doesn't trust them, but not all of them are like Axell Florent. The Queen's Men is like an anti-Zombie Chow. It is good against early-game aggression, but it also damages your hero.
Royal Herald- Royal Herald is the key to any Knight tribe Baratheon deck. It is a 5 mana 3/3 with a Sense Demons esque card attached to it, allowing you to refill your hand with knights.
Storm Knight- The Storm Knight is what Garrosh Hellscream has always wanted. Pretty self-explanatory.
Lysene Pirate- Lysene Pirate is a 5-mana Boulderfist Ogre who really wants to be silenced. If it isn't silenced the opponent can easily sap him by dealing 1 damage.
Basic Cards
King's Blade- King's Blade is another essential card for any Knight deck. It gives Charge to a random friendly knight in addition to being a Fiery War Axe. This effect makes it very similar to the Warrior card Charge. It is also very useful as an early game removal.
Fury- Fury is the main weapon of the Baratheons. Even though Robert's Warhammer is literally called Robert's Hammer, I like to think that it was called Fury in homage to the Baratheons so I named it Fury. Fury is a 2/3 weapon that becomes a 4/2 weapon when it loses durability meaning that its a 2/3 4/2 4/1. While this is more powerful than most weapons of it's mana cost, it has to be used once at 2-attack before it becomes more useful.
Threaten-Hunter's Mark + Humility. I actually don't think this card will be too good.
Stag Strike- Stag Strike is the Baratheon's version of hard removal, giving you the tools to kill any minion not behind a Taunt for 3-mana, at the cost of face damage and your attack this turn.
Absolute Justice- I think Absolute Justice is the most interesting card in the Baratheon arsenal. For those who don't know, the art shows Stannis cutting off Davos's knuckles just before he raises him to knighthood. He cut of the knuckles for the crime of smuggling but raised him to knighthood for Davos saving Storm's End during the war. It represents Stannis's view of Justice better than anything else. This card gives a powerful +4/+4 effect for 1 mana, but doesn't let the minion attack. And if the minion is silenced, the +4/+4 effect is destroyed as well. Therefore this effect can really only be used for healing and defense and must be used very carefully because the enemy can take as much advantage of the card as you can.
Lord Davos Seaworth- Davos, the Onion Knight, makes his appearance as a 2-mana 2/1. While he is technically a Lord, I decided to keep him as a knight to fit in with the theme of the deck. He is a smuggler, so has Stealth, and instead of attacking he provides the tools for others to attack, giving them a +1 attack at the start of your turn. Any AoE will kill him, but his Shade of Naxxramas effect makes him an invaluable 2-drop. He oddly synergizes very well with Melisandre...that can't be good.
King's Men- The King's Men are the subgroup of Stannis's soldiers often headed by Davos who mistrust the Red Woman and have stayed with the Seven as their Gods. They are loyal to Stannis above all else and will literally go through a Snowstorm for him. Like the Queen's Men, the King's Men are solid 1-drops that can be used for early anti-aggression.
Justiciar- The Justiciar is useful either for liberal users of the hero power, or to combo with the hero power for 5/4 deal 2 damage effect.
Dragonstone Berserker- Dragonstone Berserker is a powerful endgame Taunt that loses Taunt upon taking damage and gives your hero 8 armor. He can be instrumental in letting your hero survive the late game, stopping 14-damage total. If you have a source of healing, he can also give his enrage effect over again if he is healed to full health.
One thing I noticed: I think Stannis' sword is a fake Lightbringer.
Yeah originally the Lightbringer was in another class. But it is indeed a fake Lightbringer, but it still is a magic sword thanks to the rubies that is named Lightbringer.
Jon Snow had the Lightbringer originally and one of his epics was Howland Reed that turned him into Jon Targaryen that equipped Lightbringer.
For Dragonstone Berserker, If you silence it after enrage, it's enrage effect goes away, so no you can't reheal it and keep damging it for 8 armor.
And 2nd would lightbringer act as a spellcast? Does it proc tunneltroggs or minions with interactions with spells? If so, keep it how it is, if not change it to spell damage

Tokens
You should put your ASOIAF chars in your sig.
Nice and fun idea!
Thanks for the support! And I will as soon as I find out how lol.
Tyrell should be in two weeks, look out for him there.

Maybe for Lightbringer, it would be better to phrase the text: "This weapon's attack benefits from Spell Damage."
Haha that would make it more clear. I'll most likely change it to that, thank you!
For Dragonstone Berserker, If you silence it after enrage, it's enrage effect goes away, so no you can't reheal it and keep damging it for 8 armor.
