Guys, you are quite the interesting bunch. I only asked if they removed the report button in the client and here you are bickering on wether I should be tougher or less stressed.
Don't worry about me friends, I'm cool as a cucumber, totally not going to jump off a bridge because some random guy wished me cancer. But some other kid could. Cyberbullying is a thing, unfortunately. That's why I shrug it off with a laugh, but then I want to report the guy. I don't know if Blizzard does take actions against harassment on game chat, maybe not, but it's nice to have the option.
Long story short: I appreciate every opinion, but I don't understand why you're arguing over here if you're not interested in the matter at hand. I'd suggest to play the game, have fun, and leave this old fellow alone in his quest to be a decent citizen.
To those of you who are interested. I checked with Blizzard Customer Support, the report button seems to no longer be there and that's a bad move if you ask me. They told me you can still report someone by opening a ticket though, 'cause their policy clearly states harassment is not allowed.
Hi everyone. I just met the usual gentleman who added me after a game and proceeded to wish cancer to me and my whole family. I quickly made a screenshot and went to the friends tab on Battle.net to report him, I've done that a couple times in the past, but when I right-click on his name I no longer see the option to report. Has something changed after the last patch that I am unaware of? Is there a different way to report people? I could do it right now, the dude is not a hit-and-run, he's still in the chat speaking something in russian.
Hi guys, I'm a Freeze Mage enthusiast and I'm considering bringing the deck to a Tavern Hero tomorrow, didn't have much time to practice though so I'd like to hear your opinion.
A new hybrid with Reno, Inkmaster and Kazakus could be good but for now I'm sticking to the old Torch-Evolved Kobold list. I believe the deck should do well in the current meta where Hunter is gone. I'm banning Warrior so I get rid of both Control and Pirate, then I have good matchups against Jade Druid and Dragon Priest which seem to be common, Jade Rogue too. Renolock and Renopriest are tricky but it's a matchup I like to play. My main concern is people bringing SMORc lineups with Aggro Shaman and maybe also Pirate Rogue alongside Pirate Warrior, in that case I'd be screwed badly.
Tournament is a Conquest Bo5, 4 classes 1 ban. My lineup should be Dragon Priest, Jade Druid, Pirate Warrior and our beloved Freeze Mage, but I might sub in Renolock if I feel like it.
I agree with you OP. Although, quite sadly, last month around rank 5 I hit a wall of shamans and face hunters that were virtually identical to their standard counterparts - it's a mystery to me why those people don't play standard right away.
You realize this card is complete garbage pre-WOTOG right?
That's not entirely true, but that's also not the point. You don't need to see the card played in every deck to realize that it was the perfect exemple of bad RNG. High variance between the best and worst result, 3/4 good results over 7. It was crystal clear right after TGT that the card was a case of very bad design.
Wow why did you dust everything wild is a lot funnier than standard if you are a veteran and don't like playing the aggro meta. I'm having a blast at the moment playing control priest in wild it's so good I don't even care when I face secret paladins and it's not swarmed with shaman like in standard. Just tonight I played around 15 games and about 10 of them were against control decks, the meta is way better there and a lot more diverse I think you did a huge mistake if you dusted all your wild cards since it will only get better and more diverse as time goes by.
Where do you play man? EU? I'm laddering in Wild for the first time cause everyone kept telling me it was funnier. And it really was, at the beginning. Now I'm rank 2 and the meta is just as toxic as in standard. I see nothing but hunters and shamans (face hunter too - I mean, face hunter: is it 2014 all over again?). Curve decks that are virtually identical to what they play in Standard; it's a mistery to me why these people are wasting my time in Wild when they could have equal success in Standard. A few secret paladins, yes, but control priest, freeze mage, control and patron warrior, zoo and renolock are nowhere to be seen.
Maybe I'm just being unlucky with matchmaking, I hope to hit legend soon to face more variety and control decks, but at the moment I'm very disappointed.
There *is* a report function. It's in the bnet launcher.
Open up the friends list, and right click the name of the offender. It's at the bottom of the menu that pops up:
You can only do this while they're still on your friends list, doesn't work on people that like to 'hit-and-run' (flame you then remove you before you can respond) - unless you preemptively open the report function.
From what I've read from certain forum posts on the official forums - Blizzard does take extreme toxicity seriously (death threats and the like), but I've never seen any explicit proof of their actions against such offenders.
Yes, that is right. The best course of action to avoid hit-and-run is this: when you receive a friend request from a guy you just played against and you suspect he's going to insult you, go to the report tab preemptively and be quick to open it as soon as you accept the request. Then take a screenshot of the chat and send the package to the good fellows at Blizzard.
I did this a couple times for very toxic people, there was this guy that supposed for whatever reason that I was Jew and proceeded to explain to me how he would have dealt with me the nazi way. I have never received information from Blizzard on what actions they did take, though, I would have liked to know that.
My two cents. Prince Malchezaar is an interesting card, it allows an extreme fatigue strategy similar to the one we saw right before the introduction of standard format with Removal Warrior. It's true that you always want your deck to be thin in a card game, but it's also true that in HS control vs control matchups often end in fatigue. The trick is building your deck in a way that allows you to survive aggro just like you do with the classic CW, but with 5 more cards plus Elise to dominate fatigue. So you just take out 5 mid/late game legendaries (Sylvanas, Ragnaros, Grom and such) that will be replaced, although randomly, by the Prince, and put in 5 more removal tools to balance it out. It's as simple as that, but I'm testing a deck like this and I'm afraid it doesn't work any better than a classic CW. I guess the reason is this: it's not about the sheer number of removal options you have, it's about them being efficient. RIght now, very few of them are. You still need to draw that turn 1 Fiery War Axe, that timely Brawl or Execute, and that's where Prince is gonna hurt you 'cause if you're having a dead turn midgame, you'd prefer to drop a Sylvanas that will win you the brawl the following turn, a Grom to clear a minion or a Rag to put pressure, instead you're stuck with Boogeymonster.
I'll try the same strategy with more taunt minions, but we're lacking Deathlord and Sludge Belcher in that department. Soggoth is very efficient (and underrated IMHO), I already run him but he comes very late. I guess in Wild the deck should fare better, as some of you have suggested, with the aforementioned cards.
I'm gonna try Prince in Fatigue Priest and maybe Paladin too, healing and AoEs could be better suited to this particular gameplan. Priest could run up to six of them, even more if you count Pyromancer, but then again, you miss the most efficient one in Lightbomb.
I don't think the card is gonna be that good in Renolock. Sure it fits the theme, but you're already winning late game with Jaraxxus. Spamming 6/6s for two mana is better than drawing 5 more cards. Handlock has always been perfectly fine hitting fatigue first in control matchups due to life tap, 'cause Jaraxxus is always there.
I agree with OP. Many C'Thun interactions are incoherent to say the least, wording is very very poor (Doomcaller's battlecry not activating if C'Thun is stolen is silly) and that's a big no for a game that claims to be competitive.
I feel you man. I used to run zoolock for some easy ladder every season, sometimes hitting legend with it, but at the moment it's not working at all. MU with Hunter has become worse due to explosive/freezing traps and UTH, and everybody and their mothers are playing Hunter around rank 5 and above. I've always liked my chances in the Shaman MU but it also has become worse due to Maelstrom Portal and Evolve shenanigans. Priests are very good against zoo if they don't draw utter sh*t, especially if they run Pyromancer, and you always have the occasional Warrior (although an experienced zoo player can beat them every now and then). I think the Druid MU is better than 50/50, I'd say 60/40 or even more for zoolock, but I'm seeing few of them.
I'm currently running the "old" list with Leeroy and no Doomguard nor charge minions, testing Kara Kazham. I don't know if the more aggressive version would do better, I guess not, maybe we should wait and see how Discardlock develops. I'd suggest switching to Tempo Mage for a somewhat similar playstyle, and quick enough games, with better results against Hunter and Shaman. Or play something else entirely. I'm sorry to say ladder is a really boring experience to me right now, filled with "curve decks" where you just drop what you draw, go face and hope to curve better than the other guy. Zoolock seems like a control deck in this kind of environment.
PS. Hey I'm from Italy too, add me if you like, not playing much at the moment but always available for some chat and playtesting.

Nope. By accepting friends request I've met many good players and fine people, that's one of the best thing of this game.

One full year, and some days on top, to fix the most broken RNG in the game. I'm happy but can't say I'm impressed.
