This is why Forbidden Ritual is the way it is. Also great with Imp Gang Boss, Implosion (wild) and so many other cards

I'm just another one of those. You know, those who do things. Things that need to be done by those that do these things in order to do those things that don't do these things themselves. Has the word 'things' lost meaning to you already?
You need at least another summon for it be worthwhile vanilla wise and anything above and it gets value. The problem is, on curve, where you would want to play 3 drops most of the time, it's flat out terrible without a board. In this case Shattered Sun Cleric might just be flat out better most of the time.
Similar issue to Bolvar Fordragon in that the base stats are pretty terrible. Unlike bolvar, you can play it early and potentially let it snowball on the board in a zoo deck. Could see play in Wild with imp-plosion. Not so sure about Standard mode...but warlock does have plenty of strong 1 and 2 drops (Flame Imp, Voidwalker, and Dark Peddler all come to mind) so this might see play?
As far as Arena is concerned, it could see a use if you're in dire need for a 3-drop and have plenty of early drops already. Especially since it's a common class card.

Why would you ever play this on curve?
It's very obvious that you would always treat it as at least a 5-drop, and build your deck as if it were a 5-drop.

Complaining about RNG in Hearthstone won't convince anyone that it's a bad thing -- it only makes them think you're too dimwitted to find a game that suits you better.
Oh common this card is really strong it's *summon* effect getting rid of 5 attack isn't that easy and zoo can easily summon a lot of minions at the same time due to life tap 3/5 for 3 is quite good already just summoning at turn 5 with other 2 one drops WHICH zoo runs! is amazing plus the forbidden summoning card WHICH WILL be played in zoo..
If you have dreadstead on board this is something you wanna kill fast at least. Otherwise it'll get another attack every turn. Also works with possessed villager and other cards like that I think. Better than it looks for sure, but I wonder if it's good enough to make it into zoo. It'll definitely be experimented with
So hunter gets Carrion Grub who does... And Warlock gets this who is equal after summoning a single minion. Right.... I like the card though, A questing adventurer in some cases that actually survives on it's own merit. Arts cool, like the shadow in particular.
Actually a good zoo card.. Works with many deathrattle minions it can snowball pretty hard.
Yeah, this card looks good to me in zoo, at least in Wild. It synergies very well with good cheap cards that summon other minions, and could be already on the board untouched (and that is something that happens in many matches), like Haunted Creeper, or even the new warlock 1 drop Possessed Villager. It obviously also synergies very well with other good stuff that also cost 3 mana or more, like Imp Gang Boss and Imp-losion. Of course, I don't think it's an extraordinary card, and it could see some play or not, but it's definetly not trash.
