What are your initial impressions of Rogue in Standard?
Are there any Rogue decks that you love to play as?
Are there any Rogue decks you can't stand playing against?
What are some must craft Rogue cards?
- Rogue is pretty comboy still, that burst is pretty good....
I'm a fan of N'Zoth deathrattle Rogue. Musts for this particular deck include Journey Below, Undercity Huckster and Xaril, Poisoned Mind (a surprisingly great value for a minion that, at first glance, has underwhelming stats).
I think Rogue has a lot of potential in this format, but a lot of people are focusing on the fun cards that seem good. And they aren't exactly that great.
There are things that will keep Rogue from being top-tier meta. Mostly, it has no consistent board clears, with a weak Fan of Knives, and a situational [card]Dark Iron Skulker[card]. It would've been much more interesting if [card]Dark Iron Skulker[card] were Combo instead of Battlecry.
Here's the deck I've been running with fairly successfully, and my opinions of most of the new cards are on there.
Cold blood/conceal miracle absolutely destroys control decks but all rogue decks lose badly to aggro or zoo, only reno stands a chance against aggro but it's not consistent enough imo. If the meta slows down, rogue will be top tier.

I completely disagree. I am brand new to Rogue (formerly Warlock, only played Rogue since WotOG) and I have absolutely stomped two Hunters and two Warlocks tonight. I lost to one Warlock due to a really bad draw on my part and a really good one on his.
I opened a bunch of decent-looking Rogue cards in my initial packs, but so far I just can't seem to wrap my head around a coherent deck. I've got Deathrattle cards, weapon- and Pirate-based cards, some new Combo cards, but not enough of any of them to really form a unified decklist.
Is Combo something you can "splash" for, or does it need to be the primary focus of a deck? Could Bladed Cultist and a few other choice combo cards slot into a Zoo deck, or do you need Combo enablers?
Is Deathrattle still viable without the Naxx enablers? I tried a Hunter deathrattle deck with the 4/2 guy and it bombed horribly. Is Unearthed Raptor and "you can't trade optimally with any of my minions" really enough?
Thanks for all the feedback on my deck everyone, I really appreciate it!
I agree that for sure the Cutpurse has to go. For now I have replaced it with Undercity Huckster, but I will test Undercity Valiant as well. Some good points were made about this card. I am liking the Deadly Poison in the deck currently, so I will keep it here. It provides me with early game stability so I don't get trampled by early high-health aggro minions. I will also add another Violet Teacher to the deck, the Tempo with the card is undeniable. Gang Up is also a little silly too. A good finisher could do me some good (its generally hard to finish off games).
This is a deck I have been playing for fun to get through my rogue daily quests. The goal is to make use of Blade of Cthun in order to buff your Cthun to crazy levels and then finish the game with it. I have been having a bit of success, but does anyone have any ideas to make it better?
I'm currently on my 10th straight win. I've ran into 6 aggro decks: 2 zoo, 3 shaman, and 1 weird hunter. The crazy thing is that I've won all 6 of them before turn 5. From concedes..
Vs. aggro you just all-in mulligan for Edwin. If you have coin + Edwin the game is over man. Aggro decks have 0 way to deal with a big Van Cleef with no silence, no bgh, easily removable taunts. It's an auto-win. Backstab, prep, cold blood, coin, so many things to combo him with. The first time it happened I thought I was just insanely lucky (I had the perfect hand and made an 18/18 van cleef on turn 4). But it turned out that it's pretty easy to throw-down at least an 8/8 before turn 5, which has won me the game vs. all these aggro decks that have no removal.
ATM not many face Shaman's are running hex; virtually none more than one. Hunter's mark (and hunter aggro in general) is a thing of the past, and ofc zoo never ran hard removal to begin with.
I really didn't want to post this information, but my mind is just so blown I had to share it. Did not expect this from miracle rogue.
The good thing is that they won't nerf cards or release anything before a long time as always so rogue will be op for a long time.
btw, the chaman top 1 EU run 2 hex, knowing at least 80% of the players are laddering with a netdeck, hex will be played a lot in the future
Well miracle rogue will be nerfed technically when the pillager leaves standard. The extra coins do help a lot.
That is in a year if i'm not mistaken. I'm not saying that will destroy miracle, but i do think that the deck will be weaker. 5/4 body and a coin. That's a lot.
Miracle does feel a little broken right now, especially with the right toxins in hand. I have faced soooo many miracle rogues that are able to draw their entire decks, remove all the enemy minons and stealth 2 buffed auctioneer and a 12/12 van cleef.... if more people played this deck, I think there would be more crying on the forums....
To be clear I am not calling for nerfs I just think that miracle rogue is one of the best decks around right now.

I'm pretty sure League of Explorers rotates out in April 2018, not April 2017. I'm quietly confident by then we will have a replacement ;)

My mandibles which are capable of pressing down and tearing, my talons which are known to intercept and hold.
Finally someone agrees with me about Mill Rogue! :P Easily my favorite deck at the moment, period.

Forgive me, friend. I have failed.
I have had good luck with Mill Rogue in standard, about 7-7. Working on perfecting a wild version, as I find wild a lot more fun.

my opinion on Rouge at the moment? Love it, love how subtle the buffs it has received are even with the blow to blade flurry, seems very good.
Favorite Rouge deck? The "Value, hyper Hope shattering fish combo Mill Rouge" no questions asked.
Least favorite? Deathrattle Rouge, it's EVIL!
Must Craft cards? Preparation, Edwin VanCleef, (the rouge essentials), Shadowcaster and Undercity Huckster
No one expects the Murloc Inquisition!

It's a fun time to play Rogue right now, the Blade Flurry nerf might have killed our AoE but the new cards in WoG open up a lot of new strategies.
I crafted Xaril, not sure if it's a "must-craft" but the Toxins do a lot of work in Miracle.

I may also test Blade of C'Thun even without C'Thun himself. Seems like a good target for Shadowcaster. Journey Below is also another possible card just because of the possibility of a turn 9 Anub'arak.
Thanks again for the fantastic suggestions.
Shadowcaster
"Shadow casting since 2016."

Agreed, I love how Rogue can play C'Thun without running tons of buffers. Very cool design.

I haven't faced very many but they seem pretty weak as I've been beating them pretty easily except for 1 N'zoth rogue that got perfect draws.
