Discussion Topic Rules
To make sure that everything runs smoothly, we need to reserve the Submission Topic for submissions only. Everything else goes here. What is everything else, you might ask?
Rules or Process. Do you have a question about the competition's process? Do you need clarification about one of the entry requirements? Are you not sure whether your entry adhered to the rules? Ask here!
Feedback or Ideas. Do you have some ideas you'd like to run by others before settling on one? Do you need help balancing or wording your entry? Do you need help finding art that will fit your card? Or do you just want feedback from the community on your entry? You're in the right place! Remember, although you are allowed to make minor tweaks to your entry after you've submitted it, you're only allowed one submission per week, so make sure that you've settled on your card for sure beforehand.
Discussion! Do you have thoughts on other people's entries? Are there directions you don't like that you're seeing too many people take? Or directions you'd like to see more people take? Would you like to help others and contribute to a greater community understanding of Hearthstone card design and balance? This is where you want to be!
All of that said, please refrain from the following:
Posting TONS of Ideas. Discussion topics become an absolute mess if everybody is posting a dozen different ideas. Please post not more than 3 distinct ideas at a time. Any more than that and we'll have to delete your post.
Advertising Your Entry. Please don't pop in here just to advertise your entry only to never be heard from again. This includes only asking short, generic, or insincere questions like "Thoughts?" or "Do you think this is interesting?". Yes, getting feedback on your entry is one of the purposes of this topic, but we're not just here for other people to help you. We're here for you all to help each other. 12 hours after this competition begins, there should be plenty of other posts here for you to give specific feedback or for you to comment on a trend. If you post your entry for feedback after this time and do not also offer some form of substantial commentary, critique, or praise of others' work, you may find your post deleted.
Plagiarism. Many people post their ideas here before finalizing them in the submission topic. Directly plagiarizing those ideas to post in the submission topic yourself is absolutely not acceptable.

Hey, are we allowed to make cards that give Lifesteal to cards or create tokens with Lifesteal, or do you just want us to purely have cards with Lifesteal on them?
This was a card I originally made for my the expansion contest (I was purged on phase I as usual) without the custom keyword and with Lifesteal, which makes the wording much less complicated. Basically it works like Curse of Rafaam except the "Vampirized!" card doesn't cost the same as the base card.
My first idea. I think I'm going with Heroes and Lifesteal.
I think this is a good idea. The only thing is, that Shadowform becomes a bit redundant - not completely, but slightly. You'd never run two Shadowforms in a deck now, one could easily end up as a dud-card. The flavor is great though.
Ok, I have two ideas I've come up in the past little while, how do these guys look?
Both are nice and simple. I like Soulfinder the most, though it's textbox should be "Lifesteal, Battlecry: Deal damage to the enemy hero equal to your weapon's attack." Not a fan of the dealing damage to the hero thing either, but that's up to you.
My first idea. I think I'm going with Heroes and Lifesteal.
I feel like it beats the purpose of Shadowform being the opposite of Priest. Why not make it a minion that does that while it's alive? Though it does not have the same impact.
Hey, are we allowed to make cards that give Lifesteal to cards or create tokens with Lifesteal, or do you just want us to purely have cards with Lifesteal on them?
We want the keyword Lifesteal on your card. This means you can be giving something Lifesteal, or have Lifesteal itself. Tokens with Lifesteal don't technically count, but if you worded it as 'Summon an X/X Kleptogainiac with Lifesteal' then that would count.
It's slow but infinitely powerful in theory. It plays to the theme of what Jaina was talking about in the trailer as well. My only concern is that the hero power (while thematically similar to lifesteal) doesn't quite fit the competition. Does the hero card itself make up for it or should I make the hero power something like deal 2 damage to a minion lifesteal?
Probably suicide showing up here with a common minion buuuut
I don't think having Lifesteal on a Common card is a big deal. Both of the Lifesteal cards we've seen from KotFT are Commons. Having Commons in a design competition too. Here's a Common I made for a competition in the previous season that not only got a lot of upvotes, but there were quite a few people in the Final Poll thread who said it should've made it to the finals:
And I hate to sound desperate, but which of my cards do you like better?
EDIT: I forgot to give you my opinion of the card. I like it. I don't know if it's strong enough but the design is good.
This is the Discussion Topic. The Submission Topic will go up in 24 hours.
Competition Theme: Kleptogainia
This weeks theme comes from Bonie93, whose "Nature Anomaly" was the winner of our "Counting Cards" competition.

Based on the WoW spell of the same name.
This is my only non-trivial idea ATM.
Concept ? Flavor ? Balance ?
Custom cards :

Something simple, but effective.

Simple card, fits well I think. Is it too boring?
Short, simple but effective due to the fact that Mage has no class healing outside of Ice Barrier.
