Is anyone actually playing handlock ? Not demonlock, but handlock, with Mountain Giants, and Faceless Shamblers...etc. I'm having a lot of fun with it. Not any high rank though. Currently sitting at rank 14-13. Just wondering if anyone's had any experiences with and care to share fun moments.
It's still a fine deck, but you do need the demon version. Just play a version with mountain giants, twilight drakes, faceless shamblers but also put in the demon package: voidwalkers, despicables, abyssals..
Aside from that you just put the usual stuff in: thalnos/zealot, defile, drain soul etc. Modern day handlock is basically a variation of demonlock. You can also try a different version with jaraxxus instead of bloodreaver, but it's probably not as good
Sacked Shamblers for crabs and creepers, best decision yet. Getting a turn 5 taunt that instantly dies is no good/
You'd be surprised how many of them actually lived lol. Silence is the only issue and from what I've seen, priest is the only one who runs consistent silence.
IMHO, the meta is going too fast for Handlock right now. By the time you can play your 8/8's, your opponent can either kill them, remove them, freeze, them, or ... just has enough board presence to just ignore them.
I still keep the deck around, but it really only seems to work when something goes wrong with the opponent draw. I also find that with the very fast, aggro-centric meta, that if I try to stall to build a hand big enough to play them, I get wrecked early, and if I try to control the board to prevent that, I am not getting the giants out early enough to have an impact.
But, as P2V said above me, its viable enough for a 50% win rate, give or take, just because you will get enough good draw vs bad draw games, and it does do a little better against some classes. But if you are looking for a Warlock deck you can climb with fairly well, I would stay with either Keleseth deck, or control lock.

I wanna glide down, over Mulholland I wanna write her, name in the sky I wanna free fall, out into nothin' Gonna leave this, world for awhile
Well all you need is a 51% winrate to get to legend. Might be a bit of a Grind but I am sure handlock can do it! ^^

I played the Giant/Drake/Shambler Handlock for a while, but ultimately cut the big guys for the demon package and Gul'dan.
Handlock is fine I'd say, but Demonlock kinda does the same thing better & more consistently. It also allows you to run more removal & value, i.e. Twisting Nether & Lich King, both cards I didn't run in my Handlock.
A little weird thing I added is Fel Guard. It's supposed to be played after turn 10 when it's negative effect is bypassed, but can save your life against aggressive decks. It's upside is obviously the nice, solid taunt resummoned by Gul'dan.
I've been playing Handlock on and off through entire koft and today i've made some adjustments to deck to make it more fun. And suprisingly it's been preforming really good.
I've tryed playing Shambler but it just doesn't fit right now there is too much removal and silences. It's not good as it used to be. I've added Gnomeferatu's to deck and they've been killing it for me. There is no better feeling in the world than when you burn Shadowreaper Anduin and opponent instantly concedes. And all you can do at that time is practice your evil laugh. Muhahaha.
I'm also thinking of removing Happy Ghoul for Eater of Secrets just so it can counter everything.
