posted a message on Handlock- Anyone playing it ?

I played the Giant/Drake/Shambler Handlock for a while, but ultimately cut the big guys for the demon package and Gul'dan.

Handlock is fine I'd say, but Demonlock kinda does the same thing better & more consistently. It also allows you to run more removal & value, i.e. Twisting Nether & Lich King, both cards I didn't run in my Handlock.

A little weird thing I added is Fel Guard. It's supposed to be played after turn 10 when it's negative effect is bypassed, but can save your life against aggressive decks. It's upside is obviously the nice, solid taunt resummoned by Gul'dan.

posted a message on Dragonadin - Devouring those Filthy Pirates !

Hey man, thanks for posting this deck - it sure is a lot of fun.

It does fairly well on R10 -7, unfortunately I haven't really had the time to climb this month so I couldn't test it any higher.

However, I made a few changes to keep up with all the hunters this season while trying to sustain the enormous output of threats during mid/late game:

    - 2x Rallying Blade, 2x Dragonbane Templar

+ 1x Truesilver Champion, 1x Aldor Peacekeeper, 2x Righteous Defender

I'd really love to add some Bonemares despite the lack of synergies with this deck, but I can't really find a space for them.

Best regards & keep up the good work

Really fun deck, and it wins quite a lot on Rank 5+ too. I'm 5-2 so far I think.

What do you think about about stepping up the greed even more? I'd like to include Ysera and/or Lich King somehow, but don't really know what to cut out. I'm aware this will probably harm the winrate a bit, but man, I just like greedy decks^^

posted a message on Decks you like to play even if you lose

Currently I really like to play my own version of Midrange Pala, Amaz Handlock or Uldarius Big Priest on ladder. These decks are pretty fun and have a great winrate.

The decks Iplay just for the lulz are a N'Zoth Quest DK Priest, Benedictus/Geist Priest and some weird controlly Rotface warrior. Will post the decklists in case someone is interested.

    Amazing deck, thanks a lot.

I wasted about an hour with my own decks without success, but with yours I have beaten him on my first attempt.

Molten Giant, Kings Elekk -> another Giant, Hyena and 2x Huffer was pretty much gg^^

posted a message on Ultimate Infestation... needs to be changed

This card is a whole lot of value but I don't consider it broken.

I'm mostly playing Priest and Warlock so far, and neither has any trouble dealing with druids. I suppose it can be a tough blow for faster decks trying to run the Druid out of resources. However, if you play the slow, grindy game, it's really just a shortcut to fatigue damage. Most druids run this + Nourish + Wrath for cycle and oh boy do they suffer if they don't run Jades/get their Jade Idols geisted.

As good as this card is in fast matchups, as bad it is in slow ones. So overall not broken in my opinion.

    Quote from Trademark >>

80ish from gold by the time the expansion drops + 3 free packs from arena + 1 pack from the lats arena I'll leave unfinished with 1 loss left to ensure a KFT pack and whatever else they award us until the release.

That's actually pretty clever, I think I'm gonna do that too.

50 pre-order, 3 free ones, about 60 from saved gold and then probably another month worth of gold until I start saving for the next expansion.

posted a message on Is Midrange Paladin just the most versatile deck there is?

    Hi there,

I'm having quite a great time with Midrange Paladin and was amazed by its versatility. Not only has it a decent standing against pretty much every competitive deck right now, it also can do it in so many ways.

Turn 5 lethal? Sure, can do.

Play your opponent into fatigue? Why yes, no problem.

I'm not saying it is the best deck, but its favorable/unfavorable matchups are a lot closer together than most other meta decks, so your decisions and playmaking actually have a bigger impact and influence your winrate more than with other, more polarising decks. And this is what I like so much about this deck. There is no matchup where I see my enemy and think, oh well, I'm just gonna lose and there are few matchups where I don't have think about my plays to manage to take that win. I like decks that can win both with tempo and with value (as most people probably, everyone likes winning), which this deck does par excellence.

To my beginning question: Is there any deck that can achieve a similar or even greater amount of versatility? I would love to play something similar, but I haven't found it yet. Now that the new season started, I tried to make a slower midrange hunter with Curator and Dragons work, but without success so far. I heard miracle rogue is quite a force to be reckoned with, but I'm unsure if I should craft the legendaries for it because I personally rarely had trouble keeping a decent winrate against them.

Well I just hit legend somewhere around 9k.

Why are other people lower in rank when I'm so late?

posted a message on Ursoc - suggestion for a new hunter legendary

    Thank you for your feedback.

I fixed the wording and the missing battlecry and I hope it looks a bit better now.

For the first version: Do you think 10 dead beasts are too many? I have no idea how I should approach the whole balancing thing and, well, just picked 10 because it was a nice and even number.

I like the golem effect a lot too, but I'm not sure if Blizzard will ever add something that similar to an existing mechanic to the game.

With the enrage, I hope the wording is correct now. It was indeed intended to both work as a buffer to keep it from getting broke instantly and to carry the story of some forest demigod getting angry at people for killing his animals.

posted a message on Ursoc - suggestion for a new hunter legendary

    Hey guys and girls,

I've come up with a new idea for a legendary for my favorite class, hunter. Hunter has suffered from the lack of playable legendaries for a long time, and I feel this is mostly because they usually are big late game drops that don't have enough of an impact to actually change the game massively. Most aggro and midrange hunter decks have decided the game either way by the time King Krush and friends can come out to play.

My idea tries to counter this effect by synergizing with the token-oriented, early aggression gameplan hunter is currently running most of the time. In the best case it might even help to make the notorious hunter quest viable. However, as I neither have much experience in balancing cards nor know how strong the effects/discounts would actually get in a normal game, these suggestions are probably rather crude and unbalanced at the moment. Any input in how to balance them is greatly appreciated.

Lorewise, I've obviously tried to use the ancient furbolg patron Ursoc as a kind of "Guardian/Avenger of the Wild" with its effect getting better the more of his beloved beasts died. I'm not that strong in warcraft lore, so I hope I didn't get it completely wrong.

One thing I'm not so sure of is if furbolgs should actually have the beast tag. After all, they talk and think and so on. But this is probably somewhat less important for my first draft.

    So let's get started.

This was my original idea. It utilizes the new adapt mechanic, which I like a lot because it is flexible and can help in many different ways. I don't know if 10 beasts is to little or to much, because things like Unleash the Hounds can easily push the number up in just one turn by a lot, so any feedback would be great.

This one uses the already known Golem mechanic with just discounting its cost. I feel it shouldn't be a legendary if it does the same as a epic card, but then again running two of this would be a little too strong in my opinion. Maybe this needs a little tweaking stat-wise to get some distance to the 8/8 golems.

This one is my favorite so far. It supports the whole "Avenger of the wild" storyline amazingly while giving a huge threat that needs to be interacted with. The only problem I see so far (except for the maybe unbalanced stats, input is greatly appreciated here too) is the enrage mechanic. I don't know if it's strictly a warrior thing, but this might be the first non-warrior class card with this effect. Please tell me what you think about that.

Thanks for reading this huge pile of text and if you have an opinion in any way about my ideas, please let me know and give some feedback.

posted a message on Midrange, Secret, Aggro: Which one is actually the BEST?

Secret Hunter does require a little bit more strategic thinking and planning ahead than the other archetypes. Since you're sitting on Rank 14 I'd recommend to play a easier version first until you get some experience.

In my opinion Midrange Hunter is stronger thank Aggro Hunter at the moment, especially if you're missing Leeroy. Of all these decks, I'd recommend Theoddone's version. It is strong and easy to pilot, with a decent standing in most matchups. I used it to get to Rank 5 quickly this season before switching to a slower deck.

I've faced three rogues, where I went 2-1, with a loss to a Quest Rogue.

Hang your head in shame. Mid-Pally NEVER loses to Quest Rogue. ;)
     I know, I know^^
I drew horribly and he had his quest completed on turn 4, but I still gave him a good fight and made it a close game with Eye for an Eye and Equality + Drake. Will draw better next time, I promise.
