Update: Un'goro cards added.
With the current meta an often annoying toss-up between Pirate aggro (even in wild) and heavy control, I made the following list with the intent of smoothly laddering to rank 5. Once there, I decided to keep going and quickly reached legend. The deck was piloted exclusively from rank 15 to Legend.
Edit for the February Season: switched Onyx Bishop for Explosive Sheep to give the deck another early answer to pirates. Played it to rank 5 but haven't bothered beyond that.
This list is hardly a revolutionary concept, but it holds up strongly versus the two sets of decks mentioned above. It can struggle versus certain types of Shaman, and as I saw very few jade Druids or secret Paladins on my climb, I could not tell you how well it works versus those. In addition to a solid win rate, the deck packs a number of unexpected surprises for your opponent.
Some of my card choices:
Toshley: Although seemingly slow, this card serves a few purposes. Firstly, it is a meaty 5/7 mid game minion that is hard for the opponent to remove (requiring several minions or prime removal). In addition, the deathrattle makes him an obvious target for N'Zoth, the Corruptor. Lastly, his spare parts may seem lackluster, but one reason this deck does well versus control match-ups is that a fortunate Time Rewinder can return your N'zoth to your hand. Similarly, a personal fun moment was casting Reno Jackson three times versus an aggro Shaman.
Ysera serves a similar function in the deck: It is a late game threat, that can win the game single-handedly if uncontested. As the deck packs many scary deathrattles, there is a good chance your opponent will have used their Entomb or Hex on something else.
Ysera should ideally be played before N'Zoth, the Corruptor in the hopes of getting Dream. The obvious benefit being that it can be played on the same turn as N'zoth.
Kazakus should really be kept in your hand until you have a chance to play him with Brann on turn 7, however his 1 mana random potion can be a lifesaver versus aggro (2 damage aoe/4 direct damage/4 armor). In control match-ups, go for two 10-mana cards and pick potions that make stuff come back, sheep all minions (vs. annoying deathrattles) or do 6 damage aoe.
Should Kazakus be Dirty Ratted out of your hand, there is still decent synergy between Brann and Kabal Courier.
But what about Pirates?
Pirate decks do a lot of damage quickly and Chillmawand N'Zoth, the Corruptor in your opening hand will most likely lose you the game. However, the deck does well versus aggressive decks due to a good number of turn 1/2 options. Cards such as Zombie Chow and Doomsayer stall your opponent's early game, buying time for Reno Jackson and scary taunts. I've included Flash Heal as an extra life line
All in all the deck is very versatile and should give you several win conditions versus a range of decks. I hope it works for you too!
Hi, Thanks for your interest. I had made similar changes some time ago, see the updated list. Consider using Tar Creeper instead of Kabal Courier for stronger anti-aggro.
Toshley seems cute, but you should replace it and probably Shredder with Feugen and Stalagg
Thanks for the input. If it works for you, then by all means! However, I can't see myself winning the majority of control match-ups without extra N'zoths. Also Shredder and a potential Rusty Horn buy more time versus pirates than F/S.
Loving this deck!
I made a short video :-) (I hope I pronounced your name correctly!)

Hi! Thanks for the cool vid. I hope the deck will get you to legend.
You forgot to mention the coolest thing though; returning N'zoth to hand with Dream or spare parts. In fact, this was a bit of a miss play in the first game when you returned Reno. Luckily the Druid played poorly as in most jade games you need the extra taunts and value 2x N'zoth brings. (Also, in game two I would've picked the Fel Cannon to clear the shaman totems).
Anyways, thanks again. It's cool to be featured like that.
Yeah, sometimes I misplay. I guess I saw Reno, panicked, and thought extra healing to survive big hits from golems. I didn't even spot the N'Zoth dream value :-( Thanks for the suggestions !
Whatever works for you! I enjoy playing N'zoth decks myself.
My decks vs. Reno Dragon is always a close game, but I tend to out-value it with multiple N'zoths.
Thank you for the deck! I changed 6 cards and played it from 7 to 5 (5-0):
-Toshley -Ysera -Kabal Courier -Onyx Bishop -Shifting Shade -Piloted Shredder
+Holy Smite +Power Word: Shield +Dirty Rat +Infested Tauren +Second-Rate Bruiser +Justicar Trueheart
My 2 cents: Cairne more often > Toshley, I didnt want Ysera to ensure Chillmaw does not trigger on an unlucky draw (btw opponent always pay around its deathrattle), Kabal Courier too slow in this meta imo, Onyx too random (kind of like Ysera with Chilmaw), replaced Shredder with infested tauren (suits the agro meta better) and then put some more taunts, Holy smite and power word: shield make a big difference in win-rate vs those toxic warrior pirates and agro shamman...
Worked for me :)
Hi! Thanks for taking the time to play a modified version of my deck. If it's working for you in its current state, please keep using it!
The reason I run those cards that you've replaced is that all six of them create cards, and through Brann and N'zoth even more cards. If you're facing only Pirate decks, then your version is probably better, but in my climb up (now at rank 3 edit: just hit 2) I've had an even split between aggro and Reno control. I would not have won half of those Reno games without the extra 10+ card value these card choices provide. Take Shifting Shade for example: you play it and trade it for a 3/4 drop; it generates a card; it comes back through N'zoth; it dies and generates another card. Granted RNG on what you get is involved, but 1 card = 4 in this case. I would also argue that you've diluted your deathrattle pool a fair bit by taking out three strong options.
The Chillmaw/Ysera combo I've personally not had many bad experiences with. Quite the opposite, it is yet another AOE, especially handy vs. Shamans that keep on creating threats. Ysera Awakens and Dream are just too good.
I play on EU and yes, 7-3 is 70-80% pirate package, mostly war. When I switched to this deck, I got nearly only agro shammys:

Aggro shaman is a tough match as it is both fast and continues to pump out threats. I had a whole string of them yesterday and dropped a rank as a result. Warrior and Rogue are much easier. Now I'm back at rank 1 and will push for legend tomorrow.
I'm on EU too.
That's really the key difference, with these 6 cards changed I am 7-0 vs shaman and I meet a lot of them (64%), granted I don't play that much. 10-1 with it now. Only lost to an absolute nuts rogue.
That being said, your version is certainly better on value / resources games like vs control, but consider these 2 points:
1. The meta is heavy agro, so the advantage of your version only comes in play in few games, while the anti-agro orientation I took serves you well in the majority of your matches.
2. The control mirror seem to me still very winnable. I think Justicar is very helpful there (more so than Reno) and won me a fatigue game vs warrior control. In a sense, I feel like I gain a lot more win rate vs agro than what I loose vs control, which if you compound with point #1 makes even more of a difference.
Let's be fun and share updates as we go :)

Ho I just realized, I also changed a 7th card: -Flash Heal +Mistress of Mixtures kind of the same purpose only much better vs agro...
Thanks for the input! Perhaps we play at different times of the day or rank, but thankfully Shamans have been a sizeable, but not disturbing percentage of my climb. In fact, as I played I improved my game versus these decks, including tricks such as keeping Excavated Evil with coin in my opening hand.
As I just hit legend with this deck I'm confident it is working well. I might try and reach the top 20 after a small break.
Update: Hitting 4 the meta changed, lot more control and I wish I was playing yours now :) Certainly considering shifting shade and maybe Sned's... Not quite sure, but went 1-3 vs mage with the only win being a sucker on dirty rat pulling his soulcaster so something needs to give :)
Interesting deck man (only expansion not used is BRM, all the others are here)! Did you test Shadowform and Justicar Trueheart? Too much sinergy with Raza to pass.. I'd replace Flash Heal, Deathlord or the Cabal Courier
Hi! I've not tested those cards, but feel free to give it a go. The cards suggested keep me afloat versus aggro and help out-value/mill fellow control decks. This deck wins by surviving early aggression and then repeatedly creating menacing boards through hard to kill threats, N'zoth (sometimes twice), or Kazakus' return 3 minion potion(s). The 4 damage versus no longer being able to heal does not seem appealing to me :(
However! if it works for you, give it a go and let me know.
Toshley is a nice idea, but (a) I doubt many people still have him, (b) even if they did, I wouldn't recommend him instead of a simple and common replacement such as Cairne. Good sticky minion that also comes back with NZoth, and stays sticky after his return. The benefit of spare parts is rather small compared to that. I would perhaps use Toshley as a cheap spells generator in a deck with Antonidas, but not here.
Hi, thanks for the input.
Feel free to change any cards that (don't) work for you! I personally have had a lot of fun with Toshley, and he has been somewhat of a star in many control match-ups. I find his 5/7 stats for 6 mana a more immediate threat on turn 6. My experience has been that opponents tend to destroy Toshley through damage (as opposed to Hex/Polymorph), effectively absorbing another 7 damage.
The meta (or my climb up) has been a toss-up between pirates and control. Cairne and Toshley are equally useless versus pirates, but there is no equivalent to playing N'zoth twice versus control warriors and Reno decks. The other spare parts (admittedly it's RNG) can be of great help as well. Just as I was typing this freezing a Shaman's 7/7 for one turn won me the game. Last but not least, it's an unexpected card that throws off your opponent.
But as said, play what works for you! I can imagine other choices like Onyx Bishop and Unstable Ghoul are suspect to many people as well. It's been working for me though, I just had a fun win streak from 5 to 4 (just now broken by a pirate Warrior :( )
Good points... If Hexes and Polymorphs are a particular problem then perhaps I would use Toshley indeed, but in cases like these he can also be a Hex/Poly bait for other cards you don't want to lose like Ysera, Sylvanas or even Belcher. Plus, you can't rely on getting the freeze part... or the taunt part. As for the pirates, they are indeed useless in a die-by-turn-6 game, but that's a question for the whole concept of a NZoth deck, besides this looks defensive enough to be able to handle the beating. I'll give the deck a try! Thanks
