poor frog ! on a stick like that
Very good in any Overload deck, possibly an Elemental variation like the one floating around already. Also working to fit this into Even Shaman if there is enough overload.
*edit* - Only good even Overload cards are Zap! and maybe Rain of Toads, not enough synergy, better off in full Elemental/Overload.

After watching Toast's video on Rastakhan interactions, this weapon may be even more powerful than I initially gave it credit for. +2 attack on the turn you cast the overload card AND the turn when your mana actually gets obstructed? Hell, that ain't bad at all...
Even overload package anyone? Thunderhead is still nuts and I haven't understood how it's not abused in more decks.
Hell, just regular overload could work. Thunderheads, Zentimo, Lightning bolts and other shenanigans, maybe even an unstable Elemental or two.
If Fiery Waraxe has taught me anything it's that tempo decks REALLY like cheap weapons.
is that the frog staff from mario rpg?
Synergy with Stormforged Axe KappaPride
People theorycrafting slow overload lists with giants, and i'm over here thinking "I can deal 9 damage face with this for 2 mana!" lol
My sweet innocent child, you are obviously too young to know the legendary terror that once was the dreaded weapon Spirit Claws
AKA: the only reason any legend wannabe was willing to spend their gold on all wings of the Karazhan Adventure XD
Put down that Stormforged Axe;
time to Likkim enemies.
Even Shaman Meta incoming bois
The balance on weapons like this is tricky.
At 1 mana, a 1/3 weapon for 1 isn't that bad on it's own.
With a condition for bonus damage however it gets really strong; better then old Fiery War Axe power level good.
At 2 mana however, the weapon has a downside: You are paying 2 mana for a 1/3; on it's own that is a not a good weapon; it's not as bad as Light's Sorrow, but not what you look for in a constructed card - you need to trigger that condition to get a make it worth it.
While it's true; overload is easier to come by, as a lot of good shaman cards have it. But it is temporary.
Spell damage minions stay on the board until removed; coupled with Thalnos/Totem and going into Azure Drake let you always have the buff. I think both conditions have their ups and downs; overload being easier to play/ much easier to curve into but spell damage being more sticky.
The problem with a 2-cost Spirit Claws however was that it no longer curved into a turn-2 totem/ Bloodmage Thalnos.
Likkim has an advantage over Spirit claws: you curve easier into overload with Bottled Lightning and Zap!; and it also has the even-Shamn advantage. Hearthstone is a different game now - goodbye Curvestone.
Has potential for aggro and control - should be excellent in constructed if given enough support.
for killing how didn’t die from Lightning Storm so simple..
I don't like the way that thing's likkim' at me...
Why Likkim costs 2 mana instead of 1?
Because they learned their lesson with Spirit Claws.
For once we get a card that has a good way to reduce Overload's drawback.
The very idea of smacking something with a frog on a stick is pretty funny.
Keep in mind this works on both the turn you play an Overload card AND the turn you have locked crystals. So play this and Zap, now you have a 3 attack weapon for 2 turns.
