So no Baku for shaman, but at least it will be viable with Genn? Great!
Psychic Scream (and other cards that shuffle cards into opponent's deck) says hello... kappa....
because Priest plays Psychic Scream before turn 2?
Ok guys wait a minute and think about. Where would you play this>? In control Shaman loses all AoE and healing, aggro without 1 and 3 drops and Bloodlust won't work. So what about midrange, in standard only Elemental is playable and most Elementals are odd. I know that we should whait for other cards from expansion, but I don't see much play for this type of decks after Witchwood.
maybe we just wait to see literally every single other Shaman card.
But it's still only 9 cards, with over 20 rotating out ;)
Well shaman is getting an 8 mana Hero Card, so it's possible 3-4 of the new Shaman cards and a good chunk of neutral (Even) minions can help work toward whatever the Hero Card's ability is?
Your point is still valid though, unless there is some serious support for neutral Evens in this expansion, Shaman will likely be better off using Odds.
Looks like Shaman is going to get some good cards this expansion to make up for the fact that it is losing Jade, which is the only thing that made is even marginally viable over the last year.
Implying this compares to jades in any way.
As nice as this card is, I'm hoping cards will be printed for all classes to support both Odds and Evens style of play, perhaps one dedicated card for each? I just want to be able to make an Odds Shaman deck since I think that archetype has some potential, more so than an Evens Shaman.
I'm thinking Shaman is going to have an aggro style murloc deck coming. Hagatha is going to support it with an elixir creating hero power similar to Build a Beast.
Murloc Shaman meta incoming.
It is a very strong minion and many of Shamans most used cards are an even mana cost (obviously some good ones are odd). Would work alongside Jade in wild. It can be assumed it will only get better as more expansions come out. Not too sure if it this has enough support to become part of a real deck right now but we will see.
On paper it's a worse but more reliable Medivh's Valet. And we don't yet know why you'd want to fill the board with totems from your 1-cost Hero Power. Or how it works with Hagatha, an 8-mana card that would presumably remove the Hero Power cost reduction. Hopefully they are pushing more control / tempo with evens vs odd. We'll wait and see.
The cost reduction from Raza the Chained didn't disappear after playing Shadowreaper Anduin, so it's likely that the Hagatha hero power will still be 1. (EDIT: actually I take that back)
Windshear Stormcaller would have been good with totems but it costs 5 - what a shame.
Genn Greymane specifically mentions starting Hero Power, so I'd imagine replacing it in any way wouldn't make the new Hero Power 1.
So it does. Actually, it's not surprising, considering how OP a discounted DK hero would be.
I'm not sure what kind of Deck this would fit into but it'S still great nevertheless. Good replacement for Jade Claws
