Stealer of Souls combined with the 1 mana draw 1 effect of tradable cards as well as cards like Backfire could lead to an deck that has huge game winning swing turns mid game. And with several decent healing options such as Blood Shard Bristleback and the new baker card, the quest could act as a 1 mana gain 6 hp and answer control decks. Even if the meta is aggro, highrolling off of Stealer of Souls could still win games.
The demon Seed in a Neeru Warlock / Burn Warlock gonna be insane for fatigue cause on your fatigue turn you will be immune and your oppenent will take your fatigue damages in conditions of not geting the tamsin ull reward quest get Mutanus or something else, witch mean the shitty way to remove fatigue with Envoy Rustwix will be gone im happy, this future deck will be beating priest in fatigue for sure if you draw fast enought and don't get Ilucia Neeru or Tamsin of the quest, and btw will beat all other slow control match ups,but maybe not otks cause they will be no space for Tickatus i presume we will wount only in Altar of Fire
My hopes have ruined. It's not a "pure aggro card"; well it seems long waiting again for some good ideas from dev team, cuz Shadow Council is still just a meme.
I dont think its meant to be played that way... I think you will have to use that Mini set warlock card that makes cards cost go for life instead of mana....
Unlicensed Apothecary + Mad Summoner = 30 dmg OTK
"You summon", this combo will deal 5 dmg, brother. Nice try Xd.
Well, you're wrong kiddo; Mad Summoner in fact "summons" imps on each side of the field until the board is full.
The interaction with Unlicensed Apothecary works exactly as I stated based on the evidence found here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3rxtb5CybGk and here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dwhifI9MQzQ
After you complete the Questline and play Blightborn Tamsin you should be able to kill your opp (assuming it doesn't have any armor) by playing Unlicensed Apothecary followed by Mad Summoner on an empty board for the 30 dmg OTK.
Why are you calling me kiddo, you rude brat? Your parrents should teach you manners, even if you are right. Brat.
Dear Hearthpwn,
Almost a decade later why can y'all not figure out how to show every stage of the card?
I didn't even realize these cards had other stages until I saw them from another source.
Sure, legendary quest card which will award you with drain soul. Logic :D
The OTK sounds great on paper, but I just don't see how you can get through the entire questline without using up all of your OTK pieces to try to complete the quest while surviving till fatigue. I have a feeling it's gonna be one of the worst questlines especially considering how strong and popular Face Hunters/Shamans are right now. You can basically auto-concede on turn 1 half the time on ladder, while the other half struggles against most classes like Paladin, Rogue, and Demon Hunter, who all have very favored match up against control archetypes.
Does it make you immune to fatigue damage as well? If so, it might be the missing link in Neeru Warlock.
Yeah and you have an OTK in fatigue with 2 backfired and a hero power.
That is not how math works at all. That's 8 damage total, which is 13 short of the 21 you need to get access to Tamsin, and even then, she only applies future damage taken to your opponent. You're fundamentally misunderstanding how these Questline cards work.
They're saying that you can deal 36 damage to your opponent when you're in fatigue with 2 backfires and a hero power.
Yeah not that hard lol. Don’t understand how is so hard for these buddies to get it.
Okay, sure, you can pull off an OTK combo after completing the questline and burning through your deck without using two of the most powerful engines to both draw/empty your deck and complete the questline, while also surviving long enough to do so and without burning those two cards with Altar of Fire along the way. This is not that big a deal, and certainly not "disgusting," because it isn't consistent and there's plenty of damage your opponent can contribute along the way to murder you before you get to the bottom of your deck.
It's such a silly approach that it's hard to understand why anyone would bring it up at all, let alone be concerned about it.
Nobody ever claimed that the deck HAD to win on the double Backfire + Hero Power combo
just that it was possible.
Similar to how Spell Mages run C'thun but don't NEED his 30 damage battlecry to win.
@Nidnam: The claim is that it is "disgusting," which is hyperbolic to say the least. C'thun isn't disgusting for a lot of the same reasons: It requires a bunch of setup and card sequencing and control in the meantime to pull off. The number of times I've actually seen C'thun played from C'thun decks is vanishingly small, and I suspect that "Double Backfire OTK" is even less statistically likely to happen. It's POSSIBLE to do a bunch of crazy stuff -- just watch any of MarkMcZ's videos. But this one doesn't exactly rise to the level of "disgusting" for previously-stated reasons.
The quest requirement is the only part that I actually think is difficult.
Cycling through your deck and having backfire isn't hard. You don't necessarily need Altar of Fire, but when your whole deck is literally designed around surviving and putting two cards into your hand, that's not even that difficult.
