Couldn't the devs have come up with something more original? I mean, I don't hate on the legendary itself, it has potential to be a good card, but for me is just a sewn Eadric the Pure with Keeper of Uldaman, it doesn't feel that unique.

Echo_ posted a message on Hemet, Jungle HunterPosted in: Hemet, Jungle HunterThe examples of deck thinning that you mentioned are nothing like hemet. Mad scientist was good because for 2 mana, you would draw and play a card, mysterious challenger was good because of the huge amount of tempo you got when you played it on curve, the deck thinning is a side effect, since you never wanted to draw the secrets in the early game anyway. Patches is just free value, thinning as nothing to do with it, and same for for finja.
Thats a good point but I still think Hemet, Jungle Hunter is good because having less cards in your deck tends to be better (unless in a fatigue matchup, which then you are screwed). As for Patches the Pirate and Finja, the Flying Star, only part of their power comes from having the effects go off. Less cards overall in your deck leads to better odds at drawing the cards you want. However, it is not possible to see how much these effects change your draws. As for Mysterious Challenger and Mad Scientist, the secrets probably pushed the cards over the top, but the deck thinning is still there.
Not to be the stereotypical magic player who goes onto hearthpwn and says "All of you know nothing about game design, blah blah blah", but having a smaller deck tends to do much better in magic as it gives you a higher chance to draw into your good cards. However, this may not carry over to hearthstone and as you said, none of the things I mentioned have an effect as large as Hemet, Jungle Hunter. Maybe it'll be good, maybe not, we'll just have to see for the expansion to come out to see how it performs.

Posted in: OzrukI don't think you understand how tempo works.
This card costed 9 mana, which means if your opponent can deal with it for less than 9 (so... basically any removal spell in the game), and also play another card with their remaining mana you get horribly far behind in the tempo war. That is, by far, the most likely scenario when you play this card. Hex, Shadow Word: Death, Polymorph, Syphon Soul, Black Knight, Blast Crystal Potion, Equality, Sap (the list goes on) all deal with this card for much less than you spent to play it and give your opponent a golden opportunity to sprint ahead of you in tempo.

mert41994 posted a message on Corrupting MistPosted in: Corrupting MistI think it's a bad card for Hearthstone. Hearthstone is a really fast game. You always want instant answers because waiting for one more round is bad.
I think this is be like corruption. Never gonna see. -

Nobilitas posted a message on Tol'vir WardenPosted in: Tol'vir WardenThis card is amazing. It's called deck thinning for mid~late game. You don't want to draw a 1-mana Alleycat on turn 6 or higher, because you would rather draw Savannah Highmane or Call of the Wild

Mad scientist was way too good for what it did. Not only did it draw a specific card, it would also play it for free. I feel like this is what mad scientist should have been in the first place.
Also, there is the niche situation where you have a secret played, and the only other secret you have in your deck is another copy of the one already played, in that situation this card would be better
