    Nice deck! It looks like fun! Do you think that Azalina is worth crafting in general?

    Hi there, thanks! the deck is fun indeed, I had not that much time to play it, I just played it yesterday evening and I got nice results for the amount of time that I spent playing it (got from rank 8* to 7** without losing a single match on the EU server).
    As for Azalina Soulthief, I cannot say whether she is worth crafting or not, as I said I had the chance to test her only in a match. Anyway, I'll try to explain the rationale behind the use of this card.
    As a Warlock, you heavily rely a lot on the hero power for drawing cards and you may end up killing yourself pretty fast. On top of this, with your cheap minions you may end up depleting your hand quickly, so you may want a fast way to reload. Azalina Soulthief may help in reducing the amount of self-inflicted damage, because instead of using the hero power during the late game, you play a card that "draws" a number of cards equivalent to hand of your opponent. What is also good about Azalina Soulthief is that you get to know the possible game plan of your opponent, so you may reliably play around hers/his plays (at least up to the opponent's topdeck). Of course it is not a tempo-oriented card, but the value that you get from playing is unprecedented (theoretically).
    Now, if you have tons of dust to spend, I would give her a try, otherwise there are plenty of safe and worth crafting cards that you may want to have before Azalina Soulthief.
    Hope this will help!

    Hi Kiwi, I like your deck as it uses some interesting cards as Sneaky Devil and Ravenous Pterrordax. I'm not convinced by the Mad Hatter, nor by Hooked Reaver. The first one because of the RNG, the second as a very easy target for silence effects. How do they perform for you?

    I'm playing instead a couple of silence and Azalina Soulthief, although so far I managed to play it only once (and she won me the game). what do you think of her? I'm also running Harrison Jones for the potential card-draw, but I'm kinda skeptical about that card. here's my deck:

    Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (29) Playable Hero (1)

    cheers!

    posted a message on Glinda Crowskin Nerf

    Personally, I did it on my first try, and I actually fatigued her. I don't want to say that this is da wae, but I want to share my  I did it in this way:

    1) during my run, I got +2 attack on hounds, +1 mana on enemy minions, and I focused on deathrattle minions;

    2) I didn't know what Glinda was up to until I saw hee minions that were going back in her deck. I knew that she was going to bust my run if I didn't start outvaluing her. That's why I started playing tiny sticky minions that generated values on death (deathrattle spiders and stuff like that). She ended up in playing Doom! with my board basically full of deathrattle, so she burnt like tons of cards and gave me tons of value;

    3) I didn't know until the end of the game, but she has the demon that discards cards any time it takes damage. As soon as I saw that, I tried to strategize: I waited until both of the reshuffling minions were on the board, then I managed to kill both those minions, so that at least one was in her hand. I attacked the demon and she discarded one of the guys, then I got easy. I don't remember how, but in the end I managed to have her drawing the last one, and I made her discarding also that one. I had still almost 5-10 cards in my deck and she was taking 15 dmg of fatigue per turn, easy peasy :D

    now, I know that I was probably lucky, but I think it is doable.

    I picked +2 attack for the hounds, double health and +1 mana cost for enemy minions (which is actually undervalued I think). I ended up getting a lot of buffing and deathrattle synergies, and with beast card genetors I outvalued basically any boss.

    Not the greatest tech but it gives taunt druid a 50% chance to not get Hadronox from Witching Hour.

    you can also gamble and play Gravelsnout Knight or Hungry Ettin. there are a lot of 1 and 2 mana cost beasts that you can summon to disrupt Witching Hour. be creative!

     that's a joke right?
    if not, you understand that you are doing a low tempo play, right? let's assume that you draw Big Game Hunter before turn 5.
    if your opponent is playing Spiteful Summoner on 5, you play Big Game Hunter on 6. so your move is efficiently removing the big threat, but  you will have 1 mana left, and you won't deal immediately with the 4/4 on board. you are already falling behind. If it is on 6, you may be able to play a Doomsayer and hopefully you won't be punished by Duskbreaker or Spellbreaker or anything else...
    Big Game Hunter is not a good tech card. there's a reason why nobody played it anymore after the nerf...

    posted a message on Hand Druid and Splintergraft: interesting interactions

    Hi all, I played against a couple of Hand Druid decks and I thought that it was an interesting idea to fill out your hand to play a token-oriented style. In addition to that, giants may benefit from both your hand and board size. So I ended up thinking about Splintergraft: I fill my board and play a 8/8, sometimes also for free, why not playing a 10/10 for free?

    let me know ypur thoughts, yesterday I played a couple of games and I literally destroyed an Odd Pally by gaining tons of armor while playing giants on giants, and I defeated a Taunt Druid who couldn't held the pressure of the tokens. Still needs refinements I guess.

    I don't understand anyone who doesn't think it needs a nerf, it's so obviously broken.

    I think they should make it remove the spells it reveals, so there's an actual trade-off to playing it.

    There's already a trade-off is playing almost no spells in your entire deck... And if you draw any or all of those 2-4 spells you have in your deck your win rate goes down significantly before the game even starts.
    come on man, with the minions that we have now you can basically do everything that you would do with spells, especially if you are playing priest. you have fewer answers, but still you can do AoE (dusk breaker), single target removal (scaleworm), silence, polymorph, buffing other minions... that's not really a fair tradeoff for a 16/16 on the board on turn 5/6. I agree that spiteful summoner should be modified, maybe it should remove the spell revealed.

    That is one Spiteful deck and the Spiteful mechanic should not be blamed for getting placed into the most broken dragon deck the game has seen. Everyone already knew the priest dragon package was rediculous & that is the fault of purposefully pushing the dragon priest playstyle to be powerful (*coughdragkonoidopcough*). The choice of Spiteful deck is in no way indicative of most Spiteful decks.
    Try Spiteful Warrior, Spiteful Mage, Spiteful Paladin, or Spiteful Hunter and you'll see that the playstyle isn't as trumped up as the Spiteful Priest.

    Not true at all, Spiteful Mage is playable (with Lich Jaina and Baron Geddon is pretty good), not to mention Spiteful Druid. Three class out of nine, the only ones that have 10-mana spells - you may easily understand why. All of these classes have access to neutral minions that can do exactly what you can do with spells. By the way, the most broken dragon deck you were mentioning was centered around Spiteful Summoner.
    Again, I would modify this card to work like the Grand Archivist mechanics, reveal and remove it from the deck as part of the summoning.

    Looking at what other people unpacked, I guess I was VERY unlucky.

    opened 70 packs pre-purchased, 4+3 from quests and gift, 88 purchased with gold, total of 165 packs:

    • 8 Legendaries (0 golden);
    • 28 Epics, 5 duplicates of the same card (2 golden, 1 is a duplicate of a normal epic);
    • All of the rares (10 golden);
    • All of the common (14 golden, 2 duplicates).

    a bit sad, also because I got Chameleos as a free legendary card, got not-so interesting legendary cards (Splintergraft, for example) and I'm missing interesting the interesting ones (I really wanted Baku the Mooneater, Lord Godfrey, and Archmage Arugal). Not even a Book of Specters nor a Voodoo Doll :(

     I start thinking that the packs are rigged... I purchased 40 packs for real money, got:
    • 4 legendaries (2 in a single pack)
    • 5 epics (1 golden)
    • 7 golden rares
    • 7 golden common

    on average I got 1 leg. card every 10 real money purchased new packs vs 1 every 20 previously purchased packs (half real money, half gold), wtf?
