Saronite might be an ok drop, but its really bad vs aggro and this deck struggles vs aggro. You have no easy way to remove the 0-3 with taunt.

Glacial Shard is a really good 1 drop with shudder, but right now i dont know what to replace, maybe one fungalmancer, but yes, i should add these little boys.

Thrall is horrible on this deck, it was horrible and it still horrible. You completely ruin shudderwock with him, because with thrall shudder will NEVER EVER have taunt, and it will always be a vanilla 8/8 that can break its own battlecry while with keleseth and corpsetakers it ends as 7/7 with at least taunt most of the times, sometimes with lifesteal divine shield or windfury, making an huge powerplay.

Bog Slosher is really bad, this deck doesnt have many tempo plays, so there is no room for another slow tempo play, and electra + storm was the weakest link on the past, i feel that zentimo package is a lot better.

I did some updates. Volcano is not worth the slot. Added Tidal Surge to try and one Giggling, its still strong even on 7 mana.

    Hi guys,

I been tinkering with the new cards for a while without good results, most seem clunky and slow, but i had done a few improvements to old decks.

This time, i tried the old nerfed mirange shaman with 2 new cards that might take it out of the dust. Midrange shaman died with the giggling inventor nerf, as it gave shudderwock a really good buff itself, but it was too slow on turn 7. So i took this deck:

    ### exp evolve

Im currently rank 3 with it, with a 6 - 1 streak, only losing to a strange murlock priest that i didnt see coming. Had taken it from rank 5 to rank 3, but only used this final deck on the last 7 matches ( had Kragwa and other spells on it, but they are not worth the slot ).

Zentimo is a great card. Most ppl are trying to use tons of spells to make use of him, but this deck with only 4 spells does a great job and i never had to use him with Hagatha... He won me many matches, with both unstable and hex.

And Former Champ replaces Giggling spot. It doesnt have taunt, yes, but does an incredible job when playing unstable evolution as it gives 2 5 mana bodies for 5, and does also with shudderwock giving free 5/5 battlecry.

    Cards that might get replaced:

    - Volcano, im not sure its useful

    - Lich King, too slow and doesnt have battlecry, he also gives a few dead cards.

I will keep using the deck until my wr drops, but for now it seems strong and fun.

you're literally playing a Swarm deck against the only Druid deck that can't use Spreading Plague. You also have Hex to counter Hadronox and Cube.

When they highroll they win...which is true for literally any deck right now. Overall you can beat them down before they even get to 10-mana. You could even tech in Skulking geist to win the matchup even harder.

Don't know if you have been playing ladder this year, but you know you have to consider it can be other sorts of druids as well, and you cant really tell the difference early on when all druids play same ramp in start.

He is right. If you try to counter every deck you will always lose. For druid mulligan vs taunt druid, if they are token or any other it will be an uphill match even if you have favorable mulligan, it's not worth the risk of losing valuable cards to secure taunt druid matchup.

And I'm playing ladder, got to at least rank 5 on every season this year with only even shaman, doing this.

Taunt druid doesn't have board clear. You should be far ahead when dragonhatcher comes.

Not far enough to get through the 12 health dragon it pulls while using mana on Hex at the same time on like turn 6. Considering you have had to get through a 6 health taunt previously and expend minions there.

But a perfect hand with ironbark, both ramps and dragon hatcher by turn 6 is not common. Wide even shaman Is the way to go, you need primalfin flametongue and knife juggler to have a very explosive start, they will have zero chance to recover with your perfect hand. By turn 6 you can kill the dragon with the tokens alone, remember that they doesn't have plague.

    Best set since GvG

You must not be much of a Shaman player. GvG was awful for Shaman, condemned the class to a year of obscurity.

Anyway, I think Even Shaman will be dead in the new expansion (as an avid Even Shaman player), for a number of reasons including opponents having Overkill effects at their command.

Malygos Shaman looks strong (and I'm not TOO worried about Skulking Geist), and it's up in the air whether some other spell-based shaman will be able to be strong. I've theorycrafted a Fast Burn-Shaman, but it feels like it's missing something still:

    Quick Burn-Shaman
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (12) Ability (16) Weapon (2)
    Loading Collection

Tall even shaman will be the way to go, it's still strong but everyone uses token now. Token even will die sure.

I'm not sold on an expansion that tries to create a half archetype and doesn't support current ones ( freeze shaman is now spell shaman ). Malygos druid will still be better, big shaman will still be a clunky deck until it gets more ways to cheat out minions, and evolve buff shaman might come to rise if kragwa/spirit/zentimo works, but i can't still find a good deck, they all feel weird.

Im still using it but im stuck between rank 3-5, and did some changes on the deck. Yours doesn't include powerful tech need for this meta, how do you manage to beat maly/togg druid, and control/even warlock?

posted a message on Token bomb shaman

    Hi there,

Again I had been trying a new deck to have some fun in this small creative window we have when a new exp releases. So far midrange shudder did a good work, but it doesn't feel new enough, so I created this deck.

This is a token deck, that tries to fill the board multiple times to bring a gigantic or lethal one turn. The deck uses the bombs to punish the enemy for using board clears, giving you an advantage on future board refill, each time your board is cleared it will be easier to get bloodlust otk.

    How to play:

Turn 1 - 4: survive. Try to not use all your resources. Use spirit echo to not be hand starved. Trading is very important, if your opponent develops a big board it will be hard to come back.

Turn 5 - 7: combo your cards, use echo and draw smartly to get extra giggling and saronites. Use bombs to trade and get your opponent to 20 health. Searching for your wincon is very important.

Turn 8 - onwards: just smash your opponent will all your resources. Stormbringer is mvp vs all the opponents starved of board clears. Check your maths every turn, don't miss lethal, and build turns to always make your opponent feel an imminent lethal.

Shudder is very important. A charged shudder is an instant board fill, and it's very dangerous. Next turn is always lethal, so to this point your opponent shouldn't have any clears left.

The deck feels favored against other combo decks, and has some good matchups vs all kind of hunters. It fares well vs odd rogue/odd paladin/heallock, at a 50%wr, but is not easy to play, its counter intuitive to play.

    Tech choices:

    - mossy horror: druid and giggling counter. It's also a big bomb activator and gives a strong battlecry to shudder.

    - spell breaker: might swap for hex. Useful vs tall decks and to bypass a taunt. It gives another body, that's why I prefer it to hex.

    - ooze: control warlock killer, it also has some very good uses vs hunter and rogue.

    The deck:

    Bomb Shaman
Export to BBCode Export to Cockatrice Export to MarkDown Export to Html Clone this deck
    Minion (26) Ability (4)
    Loading Collection

    Mulligan:

    Rogue: ooze, primalfin, firefly, flametongue.

    Druid: mossy, primalfin, stormbringer.

    Warlock: spellbreaker, ooze, firefly, flametongue.

    Hunter: ooze, primalfin, flametongue.

    Shaman: primalfin, flametongue, goblin.

Warrior: not much warriors, same as shaman with ooze.

    Paladin: primalfin, wolf, spell breaker.

    Mage: shame as shaman.

So far got from rank 5 0 stars to rank 4 3 stars with 60%wr. Not great but really fun and suprises your enemies.

Why not adding at least a copy of arcane dynamo? I know is not a token deck like the original version, but the value you can get from bloodlust/the storm bringer can't still be insane?

Because with this deck you never have more than 3 minions on board, so they doesn't get any value from both storm or bloodlust.

Been testing it before going to work and man this deck feels good, last time I tried it I was running out of fuel really fast but the new additions seems to fix this problem.

How are you dealing with combo decks, specially Exodia Mage and Mech'tun Lock?

You have enough damage to win before turn 8 - 9 most of the times with even shaman ( any list ) unless they draw goddly and have every removal possible. The only problem is combo druid because of spreading plague, but this list shouldn't have that problem right?

Congratz! It's really nice to see that even shaman is still viable, I have try your deck. I'm still mixing things, but going wide is giving me a hard time vs all these druids out there.

    No corpse takers?

Corpse takers requires more than alakir to be consistent enough. They were okay before because there isn't many good 4 drops.

Omega defender it's on test. It's great late game but serves saronite purpose early. The only benefit vs saronite is that it can soak most of the AoE spells, but saronite has better stats spread on 2 minions.

About giants, there were some successful even shaman list that didn't run they before.

I like that list atramentar. It does run menacing nimbus and elementary reaction from boomsday, but it's more classic, gotta give it a try.

So, even shaman is my favorite decka after naxx midrange shaman, and I want it to still be viable. Anyone trying more even shaman here?

I'm currently 4 - 2 with this deck on rank 4and one lost was thanks to an horrible draw ( first <4 cost minion on turn 5 vs healock. So far it's solid, but the root is already and old deck.

Arcane dynamo and primalfin may get replaced, for now they stay. Arcane dinamo won me 2 matches, one vs big spell mage that panicked and wasted AoE haha and the other vs Hunter with a glorious bloodlust on a full board of 1/1.

Any other trying? There are some even bots that seems nice.

posted a message on What makes even shaman tier 1?

Its a versatile deck. As Atramentar said, it has favorable matchups, and even ( no pun intended ) the unfavorable ones are not that much unfavorable.

If Token druid and Even warlock stay out of the meta ( the only hard counters ), even shaman grows in strenght. But its not an easy deck to play, battlecries are the MvP and building a strategic board, not just dump minions in, positioning is key. Even shaman does snowball really hard, and thats why it totally crushes some of the big control decks, lets say Taunt druid and Taunt Warrior, and it even has great lategame tools with Lich King ( Army of the dead its too op on a deck that only has 4 spells and 1 hero ) and Hagatha.

Go watch some streams and learn to mulligan. So far i got to rank 3 three times with it with relative ease, last one on the first 2 days of the season, i wish i had more time to try to push to legend.

I hope it doesn't overload if you summon earth ele, that way maybe crusher shaman could be finally a thing on standart.

This card could target ele, giant and dino. It has good synergy with elektra, as do far sight, AoEs ( with double overload you could charge a spellstone in one turn ), and might give an option for crusher to use more expensive things.
