Does anyone here at this point think they might eventually create a new "classic" set by selecting cards across retired expansions, and then retire the original "classic" to Wild? That could be fun.
I honestly think Ice Block could be much more simple. It doesn't have to be perfectly timed, as a former WoW mage, I can say Ice Block was never perfectly timed. It does of course make sense to make it prevent all damage and provide the Immune effect. As a mage you should only trigger Ice Block when you are expecting lethal.
A very simple and fair nerf that wouldn't break the card would be.
Secret: When your hero is reduced below 10 health, become Immune this turn.
This means you can kill a hero without ever triggering the Secret.
Perhaps, I'm missing something, but I honestly don't understand why anyone bothers making a distinction between basic and classic cards. These are both expected to be always allowed in standard am I correct? I understand that classic cards are earned via packs, and crafting, while basic are not.
My biggest concern here is that "evergreen" cards should be modified to fix the game, OR at the very least introduce a replacement when sending to HOF. When year of the raven starts Mage will have 23 total evergreen cards, 10 basic, 13 classic, while other classes will have 25 ever green cards. I know Warlock also has 1 classic card that was sent to HOF Power Overwhelming
Some people are happy with the Ice Block update, I find it rather odd. Specifically, because they introduced a similar card called Evasion for the Rogue. They both require being played around, just like Counterspell and basically most secrets.
What is most interesting is how 2 years in a row they have sent a Mage classic card to Hall of Fame instead of a nerf. Even Innervate and Fiery War Axe got a nerf, rather than the HOF treatment. Now Mage class is out 2 classic cards, which limits options and designs for decks, rather than simply fixing these cards. I'd rather class cards never go HOF, even if they have to dramatically rework a card.
i woke up this morning to find out I had been awarded no loot chest for Feb season, and it displayed my highest rank as 25 (angry chicken). I was at rank 11 last night.... anyone else see this?
Came across this AM, and think it'll be very interesting to see how Blizzard approaches this. Long story short, in the last week Apple has changed their developer guidelines to require developers to disclose the odds for all items possible within in a loot box (or mechanisms like loot boxes).
I also seriously hope this change doesn't delay Blizzard from releasing an actual fix for Daily Quests.
I'd actually replace Bloodmage Thalnos with Aluneth for starters. The problem with Aluneth might be that because you need to hold so many cards in your hand it could be hard to dump cards to make space for what you need. I've used Aluneth and it burns you through your deck very fast. I've died from over draw cause you can't even attack with 0 attack to try and remove durability to break it.
My free Login weapon I found out was Aluneth, which is one of the few weapons I think are playable. So no complaints there. I got two epics and two legendaries in my first 30 packs. Rin, the First Disciple which is an almost impossible legendary to play, and to make it worse Warlock is the class I play least since the Dreadsteed nerf. My other Legendary was Rhok'delar which I will only accept as a golden legendary cause it looks awesome, but sadly it was not golden.
Just thought maybe Keleseth buff might be good early game play, since the Quest is slower to complete after nerf. Help make it more challenging for opponent while you work towards 5/5.
Yes, the darkness would become a 5/5, but that could simply become prevented by not playing the crystal core as well. That would just depend on the situation.
With the upcoming expansion, I think the possibility of having Prince Keleseth and The Caverns Below in a combined deck is more possible than ever. I'm not saying they are meant to be stacked, just that using Prince Keleseth before you get Crystal Core might do well. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions.
Also, does anyone know if The Darkness requires only three candles to be drawn? If I Shadowstep for example to throw more candles in my opponents deck? Do I win?

Azeroth card back is pretty amazing. Hope I don't have to "buy" it.

Right, forgot it can't be targeted. Vanish effect dormant?
