You got duplicated epic? Great now trade for another player with duplicated epic (300 free dust)
Same for legendaries.. Also many players might be scammed like.. Trading 1 golden legendary for 2 legendaries could mean the other player might not trade the 2nd one and just get ton of value.. Can easily be abused, takes the fun of collecting.. Bad idea.

You can fix it easily by making 2 for 1 trades possible, just like in steam.
The main problem is they would sell way less packs that way.

All valid points but you can only trade one card at a time.

You agreed with a player to trade 1 golden boom for 2 useful legendaries, the player trades golden boom for say n'zoth, and then instead of trading say.. Sylvannas for owl he dissapears.. So player with golden boom got scammed.

If they change a trade or you the trade would have to be reapproved.
I could only see this working for cards that have been rotated out of standard, where the packs are no longer available to purchase, that way Blizzard won't loose out on money and free cards from new accounts wouldn't be an issue.
That's a good fix because then this wouldn't effect Blizzards profits thanks for commenting.
I dont mind not being abe to trade my dups as long as blizzard keeps on giving us gold for packs. Imagine if you could trade cards but blizzard tightens the gold earning aspect of the game. I am pretty satisfied with the present setup; save your dusts for legends or cards you need. Some games doesnt even allow you to craft game changing items so you have no choice but to keep on buying their ingame currency for a chance to roll their best items / characters.
You'd get card farmers (similar to gold farmers in WoW), because free packs are relatively easy to get (especially on new accounts). This would more than likely destroy the pack opening and disenchant system in the game.
I would love it. Not so much for completing my collection as for being able to sell it when I'm done with Hearthstone. (You could sell your collection on E-Bay and then open up a trading session with the buyer where you give your cards away). That way spending money on the game doesn't feel as bad as it does now.
Sounds awesome, but blizzard would never implement such thing.

As long as new accounts get a dozen packs, it will never happen. People will just farm new accounts as it is more efficient than dusting. Maybe if you can only trade cards purchased with cash.
This has been discussed to death already. I wouldn't be surprised if a mod came in to prove just that. No, there's is absolutely no place for trading in Hearthstone, for all the reasons everyone has said.
Plus, imagine if they did. Less money for Blizzard, right? So what would be their solution then? Puke out cards like there's no tomorrow, because fewer packs are being sold.
If there was trading, people would have 50 accounts and get a free Tavern Brawl pack each week. 50 free packs each week, well how about that.
Despite the biased poll text, my vote goes with the logical choice of No. To allow any form of trading will destroy the game and the economy for hearthstone. Everyone will start to open alt accounts and trade with their main account and the incentive to buy packs is gone. You think blizzard will even allow this?
What's even the discussion about 1 card for 1 card or same rarity card trading. Stop dreaming already, it's a pointless discussion down that path.
I'm don't think a direct trading system would work as, like others have mentioned, it can be easily abused. However, I think a market system could work. For example, a player could place an epic on the market and ask for a specific epic in return. Or put a legendary up and ask for 2 specific epics in return. Then players could browse the market and find favorable exchanges for them. It would take much longer to find someone willing to take a deal than to simply disenchant, but it could save both players a lot of dust. Also, it would be much harder to abuse because if a player makes an insane offer like a legendary for a common to accept on another account, someone else will likely take it first.
You could fix it by only being able to trade cards of the same rarity.
What Happens When Mech's Meet an Old God...
Too easy to complete a collection that way..

I used to be a control player like you, then I took a quick shot to the knee.

NO.
Trading would mean the death of Hearthstone.

P.S. I really hate biased poll text.
People who refuses to play aggro out of principle are even worse than people who play exclusively aggro.
One should seek to become a complete player and play all archetypes, including ones that he despises for whatever irrational reasons.

If you got the coin, the Mercenaries get going. Vote for The Mercenary for CCC #3.
