best card ever
This card is just straight up broken. What on earth was the thinking process behind this?
So I have all the components for a mech mage except the goblin blastmage. Are there any viable replacements?
Nope. He is too good to be replaced. 100 dust isn`t big deal, just craft it.
Every card in the deck as of recently
Ooooh, FIRE! The sound is plain amazing, and the effect is twice as much.
This card is a straight upgrade over every 4/5/4 card. Retardedly OP. You get 4 free damage and a minion that would be strong WITH NO WRITING ON IT. The damage should be done randomly to all characters. Makes no sense.
broken. absolutely broken. i love this card.
Avenging Wrath for Mage
Having played Mech Mage a bit in order to understand it better, I can say that this card singlehandedly will win you the game. It's insane, clearing your opponent's side of the board and leaving you with an aggressive body.
This card is too powerful !
Another reason to play Acolyte of pain!
A Lost Tallstrider with a little more than 1 mana worth of upside if you have a mech (compare Arcane Missiles). This should only be a 4/4, if you ask me. Dies to Truesilver Champion all the same, but it's still just a tiny bit too powerful.
If a card has an awesome battlecry AND it would be a waste to play Recombobulator on it, it should probably be nerfed. (compare to Bomb Lobber)
I don't think that they should nerf this card into the ground, because it's really cool. 5 mana (Lost Tallstrider + Arcane Missiles) would be a little more reasonable, 6 mana might be a little overboard given that this is a class card.
Maybe once other Mech Mage cards are nerfed (looking at you, Mechwarper) or counters to them are introduced this card will feel more balanced.
Except Mechwarper isn't Mage-specific - meaning nerfing Mechwarper would bring down every single Mech deck out there, since every Mech deck requires Mechwarper. Mechwarper is literally the number one reason why Mech decks even work. I agree that Mechwarper is pretty OP, but I don't see a way to reasonably nerf Mechwarper without damaging GvG in general.
Since it seems like there are a ton of mech-spamming decks out there right now, I can't say that nerfing MW would be the worst thing ever. Most mechs are pretty good. The main thing I have against MW is that it's really difficult to kill early on and it has a really excellent effect. If it was a 2/2 or something then it wouldn't be so easy to drop it T2 (or T1) every single game and get a guaranteed return.
From my experience of playing with mech decks since GvG, I can say that about half the time, it gets removed the following turn. Warrior can use his Axe, Rogue her Deadly Poison or Backstab+Dagger, Mage her Frostbolt, Priest with his SWP, etc.
Yes, if not removed Mechwarper can be your worst nightmare, and I completely understand how overpowered that card is. But a 2/3 still dies to a 2 drop, so I would say lowering its health isn't the right solution.
Otherwise, it would just become a worse Pint-Sized Summoner (well slightly worse as it only affects Mechs but multiple minions etc.)
This card like many GVG cards is broken. Incoming nerf bat for DR balance, mechwarper and blast mag.
Everyone complains about Dr. Boom, but this card is total bullshit.
This card might be the finest one that empowers the whole mech Mage idea. Think of it as a 5-mana Fire Elemental's strength. Maybe a nerf is in order as, it's perfect at 5 mana where its effect is similar to Fire Elemental, but obviously too strong at 4.
Shaman insta-concedes after I bomb his Feral Spirit and get a cheap trade while retaining my board.
