Unpopular opinion here but according to the terms of service we shouldn't even get refunds for either HoF or nerfs, that's just someting blizzard does to keep their pr high, so why should we do it for buffs
Agree, what if I wanted to play a card in a odd / even deck? What if I relied to summon Thunderhead with Master Oakheart? Or draw Floop sprayer with psychomelon as my drop 8?
Buffing cards may lead to "problematic" scenarios expecially for F2P players: people may disenchant trash tier card to get dust to craft something better. Now if they start buffing cards, what will they disenchant? Any bad legendary may tomorrow become core to some top tier deck.
I'm F2P, but I don't disenchant any cards that I don't have spare copies of, however - THIS and 100 times THIS. Thrash cards are owned by a smaller than average proportion of players for exactly these reasons. Buffs are a new way for Bli$$ard to make people pay more for the game.
Simply don’t disenchant. Problem solved. I’m sure F2P can deal with this since most should know NOT to disenchant anyway.
The OP is correct but, as expected, greedy Blizzard worms out of it. Just like when they wanted to kill the Kingsbane archetype, instead of nerfing the legendary, they nerfed its key support cards of lower rarity.
Imagine if Blizzard offered a refund to Starcraft II players each time a patch changed some units stats? Or any other company for any other game. It would be silly, to say the least.
I think that the entire concept of "dust refund" for a card changes is wrong and the main reason why card changes take so long to happen and why game becomes stale quickly after every expansion and stays like that for a long time.
Blizzard, remove dust refunds completely and give us updates every week. Buff weak cards, nerf overpowered ones and make Hearthstone better for everyone.

OP isn’t correct. It’s blizzards game they are free to do whatever they want. They don’t have to give you a refund for nerfed cards, they just choose to.
its the players who are greedy asking for refund on BUFFED cards.

How is it greedy to buff cards? Blizzard doesn't owe us anything and does this to please it's playerbase. It's people like you that are greedy and can't get enough. Ever.
This is true simply because not all buffs are 100% buffs, and not all nerfs are 100% nerfs. Things like an "indirect Holy Wrath buff" happen, even when a card is nerfed. What is a buff for one player, for one deck, for one scenario, could be a nerf to another player, another deck, another scenario. With this in mind, it's reasonable, responsible, and downright rational that full dust refunds should occur any time a card is changed regardless of whether it was considered a "buff" or a "nerf"
You spend 1.600 dust to craft a very good or broken card, if the card is nerfed then you paid for a thing and this thing is not waht you paid for anymore, in this case the full refund make sense, the players will feel prejudicated.
Buffs are a completely diferent history, if you craft or open a card and now the card is better you don't lose anything, there is no sense to refund someone don't was prejudicated.

You craft Crystology to use in your Even Paladin deck. Then Crystology is "buffed" down to 1 mana and the card is now useless to you. So in fact, in your eyes, it was actually nerfed. So it follows the same logic as any other card change.
And that's the point - it's when a card is "altered", not when it is specifically nerfed, because any buff can be considered a nerf by someone who feels that way about it. So dust refunds have literally nothing to do with the outcome of a change, but the fact the change has happened in the first place and the card is no longer the card you created / bought.
But then, all that said, dust refunds are completely a kindness by Blizzard anyway and not a contractual obligation to us.

Imagine demandimg free dust from buffed cards, and calling Blizzard greedy for not doing that
I totally understand why they don´t give dust for buffed cards.
The normal thinking is, that if cards get nerfed, they get worse, so you normally have a disadvantage. This is why you get dust for compensation.
Buffing cards should be an advantage normally, so it is logical you don´t get dust. It is your own fault, if you dusted this cards earlier before.
This is how Blizzard is thinking. And I understand it.
Of course it is bad for Even/Odd-decks. They should remove them completely out of game or enable the cards for even and odd as long as you use Baku/Genn in deck. Not sure if Blizzard already checked this out or if it is maybe intentionally by them.

If you are putting Crystology into an Even deck, you have much bigger problems than the dust value of your cards.

that's more of a Genn an Baku were and mistake and should be deleted/reworked problem rather than the card being "nerfed" for Genn decks because objectively the card got way stronger.

We don't own the cards. You are entitled to nothing.

A much more interesting question: What if some of the buffed cards turn out too strong and needs a nerf in the future?
This would be a first, i wonder if Blizzard would give full dust refunds or not.
I'm sure they would, because many people would have crafted the buffed version of the card in the meantime.

What a load of old shit. Some people want shootin', they really do.
Free to try and find a game, dealing cards for sorrow, cards for pain.
I wouldn't hold your breath, OP.

They recently buffed the totem card from 4 attack (priests weakness) to 5 attack I want compensation :D
