I seen some one who is already level 50 so apparently he is doing just fine with new system

Congratulations, you've met a bot. You should have write down his battletag and report it to Blizzard.

Or did you just see someone with custom coin that he got from collecting all Darkmoon cards and presumed it's a lvl 50 reward coin?

posted a message on how much money should hearthstone cost?

I don't know how much it should cost but I can tell you how much it will cost - as much as people are willing to pay.

So if you're willing to pay 230€ every expansion then that's the price for you.

I’ve got a question about the rewards system... what do the orange gems mean that I get after completing an achievement? I don’t seem to get any experience from them, even when they all the achievements in a chain have been fully completed.... what do they do?

They just show you that you've fulfilled requirements for completing an achievement. Most achievements give you just achievement points, only few give you xp. You can check out what each achievement gives you by clicking at it.

Just for the record guys: none of the BIG GUYS (Kripp, Trump, Kibler) have outed their opinion regarding this gamewide issue. Don't let them ever fool you thinking they are on our side. Because they are not. They don't get their pay from Blizzard, but from their fans. But they are so stingy, that they are afraid to lose the free bundles they recieve from them for keeping their mouth shut. I am disapointed.

Only two work days have passed since new progression system launched, so let's give 'em a bit more time to check things out before voicing out their opinion.

Just for the record, I couldn't care less about what any of the Hearthstone biggest streamers have to say about it or whether they will say anything at all. New system sucks and it needs some major fixing.

    Quote from Poghy >>

The weekly quests are indeed 6k xp/week, but for the dailies you used the absolute minimum value 800 while most quests worth 1000 and there are some 1500 ones, So the more realistic number is 7k xp/week instead of 5.6k. And you didnt add the 400 xp/hour gameplay xp because reasons. 4200 gold + 1600 gold (packs) + 800 gold (2 legendaries, in case you want to disenchant them and 800 dust is about 800 gold) + 100 gold (1 epic) + 200 gold (the 2 ticket which you forgot to mention) = value that is worth about 6900 gold. And thats just the first 50 levels.

Only first three packs of the latest expansion are worth 100 gold each because you can get 'em immediately upon expansion launch. Others that can be obtained weeks and months later are worth much less. Previous expansion packs are in terms of value worth very little and all other from even older expansion are close to worthless. I don't want packs, I want gold so I can choose which packs I want to buy!

Overall, this new system is worse than the old one for casual players, even if they go with battle pass but It's more rewarding for players who play several hours every day, especially if they choose to buy battle pass.

Zephyrs isn't perfect so in order to increase the chance of getting right card, you should've played it in a way that after you play Zephyrs, you have exactly four mana left and then you'd probably be offered Mass Dispel.

I think that main reason why people complain so much about the game lies in Blizzard's approach with Hearthstone toward it's audience. Hearthstone is promoted as a f2p game but in reality, just like any other "free" game out there, it's everything but free. In short, it's a legal scam.

When you start playing the game, you do get some free stuff (to get you hooked), but soon you realize that you won't get far if you don't start spending money. It's what I call a drug dealer approach - first few bags are on the house but after you get addicted, it's time to pay and pay a lot. Time is at least as valuable as money (to me personally it's way more valuable), so don't fool yourself into thinking that if you're spending more time in game grinding resources that you're not paying.

This is absolute nonsense. I started buying expansion deals a few years ago, but have been playing since around the time Blackrock Mountain was released. I was a diligent but not-particularly-skilled player committed to being f2p. I didn't have the money to buy stuff. But I worked. I saved up my gold and dust. I didn't craft every cool legendary just because "I like this character in WoW." (In fact, I've never played WoW. The characters and names in HS mean exactly nothing to me.) I played budget versions of meta decks if I didn't have all the legendaries/ epics required, and I wound up not playing some decks that absolutely required cards I couldn't afford. In short, I acted like a grownup and lived on a budget. In that time, I managed to amass about 14K dust while occasionally crafting a high-priority, powerful card in a deck I really wanted to play.

People can and do succeed as f2p. But, if someone's not willing to a) spend money or time; AND b) live on a budget, then quite frankly they don't deserve to succeed. They are, as OP said, acting like an entitled little punk. (And I DO know what entitled means, and chose that term deliberately.) Why should they have access to the same decks I have, when I've actually spent (quite modest, actually) money and they've spent neither money nor time? How is that fair?

You've accepted Hearthstone as it is and adapted to it as best as you could. You've worked hard, spent resources wisely and didn't complain about anything. Congratulations! But I don't understand why you call my post nonsense, when you've done nothing but proved my point that Hearthstone is "falsely" advertised as f2p game because in reality it's everything but free. Yes, you showed with your example that one can have a taste of what game has to offer without spending any money, but if you want to have fun (and in my opinion playing a game is about having a fun) in a long run, there's no other way but to pay for it either with money or with your time.

In my opinion, it would be more fair if Hearthstone had same business model as WoW. You buy the game and all expansions and you pay monthly subscription. In return you get everything game has to offer. No p2w, no freeloaders, less powercreep, less complaints, less toxicity = better and more balanced game with healthier playerbase. Of course, that kinda model would probably overall be less profitable for Blizzard so I'm not holding my breath.

posted a message on Tervern pass is necessary now to get a chance at a decent hero.

Battlegrounds is a free game mode inside a free game. You can buy battle pass for gold that you get by playing the game, you don't need to spend money. How's that exactly p2w?

Even if you're new to the game (which obviously you aren't), you'll need to grind gold for month or two to buy your first battle pass (btw after two months it's half the price, so 1250 gold), and after that just save gold that you earn and you can get battle pass each season without spending a dime of real money.

Even though I don't know for sure what the new progression system will bring, I seriously doubt that it will be difficult to collect 2500 gold in one season.

Well I assumed you had to get  at least 2 copies of each rarity, before you started getting extras

You assumed correctly and that's exactly how it works.

Once you obtain a card, game remembers that you have it in your collection forever. That means that even if you later decide to disenchant some cards, they will still be counted as if you have them in your collection for any future pack openings.

Once you open both copies of all cards of one rarity, you'll start getting random duplicates of that same rarity.

    Quote from Murdock11830 >>

So, basically, normal duels are worth nothing, not even the 3 wins 10 gold, and the heroic is gona cost gold, for a chance of reward?

With new progression system there will be no more gold for wins, only XP, so free duels will be worth something.

IMHO best time to play duels is right now while people are still experimenting with it - probably the reason why you need to pay to get early access to it. Soon there will be best decks posted all over the place and, just like in ladder, you'll be facing same decks again and again, and it will all come down to who gets more lucky with cards/treasure offerings.
