Guys stop, i don't know why, but i feel like there is a little war going on between wild and standard elitist. Whenever a discussion about that topic appears, i see people arguing. Wild players don't understand why wild isn't fun for the standard player and the standard player doesn't understand whats fun about wild.
Can we just leave it at that? Play what you have the most fun in and stop arguing about something that is just a matter of personal preference. So dumb, it's like asking someone if he likes apples and if he says no you ask him why. And then the two people argue about the taste of an apple.
It's the human nature + the keyboard warrior mentality together mate. You can't stop it. Nobody can't.

But if you look at it, it's mostly Rotation fans despising Wild and stale Standard alike.
It's not even Wild vs Standard, it's Rotation vs non-Rotation.
Partly, that's because Blizz enjoys printing broken stuff, that people end up hating wholheartedly, and enjoying Rotations more than new releases.
Partly, because people get bored too easily and always want to see something new.
I agree, that you can argue about if a rotation is a good thing, but in the end it comes down to preferences again. Take YuGiOh for example. It's super cool, that they manage to get super old card's into play even after 10 years, when you thought they were dead af, but then at the same time, they have to powercreep nonstop, so that there are decks that straight up win in the first turn.
At the end of the day, Wild mains just prefer Wild, but Standard mains actually hate Wild.
I think they hate each other similarely. Btw. I am standard player, but i go to wild casually, i just could never play it as my main mode. (I don't hate wild :P)
The only way to save the game long term is by implementing new gamemodes. Not the singleplayer crap. It would take care of wild and standard shittalks... Both modes are outdated.
Why are the developers shit is what you have to wonder about.
Not the card designers btw. Director/developer should be sacked.

God i hate this site quotes vs simple rediit one ( >). Eh maybe i am just too dumb.
As for ygo FTKs gets promply stopped and banned pretty fast especialy in OCG. In most cases u will last between 3 or 18 turns in ygo mach be that OCG or TCG. As for your 2nd argument , yes everything that is not Vanilla or by desing terible has a potencial to be playable in YGO. I would love to see a 3rd mode where we will have all cards and banlist for those cards. I would argue that decent amount of YGO cards get kinda unplayable cuz they were testing the mechaniks around it like Fusion ,Ritual,( and Contact Fusion), Syncro, XYZ, Pendulum and Link summoning. So many selp bounce cards or addition summoning endend on banlist. Also pot of greed.
Blizz will need to nerf a few wild cards if they are to keep wild viable in the long term...
Indeed, i think if you want to get players to play wild, you need to change cards regularly to shake up the wild meta. On the other hand, I don't know if blizzard even wants that. They decided to go for the rotation-route, which let them create new cards a lot more freely, without thinking about ALL the old cards, that might be broken in combination. If we weren't in a rotation based system, a card like psychmelon would have never been printed.
In the long term, my guess is, that a lot of players don't like the powerlevel of wild. So many cards there that you were happy to see them go. (The cards that prevent me from going to wild on a regular basis are: iceblock, coldlight oracle, voidcaller/skull of the manary and many more)

This, to a point. I'd tried Wild some time after last year's rotation. It was a nostalgia run, as I wanted to play some decks from my first year of HS experience (2016/2017) and realized that those decks just don't work (old Miracle Rogue, Dragon Tempo Warrior etc.). Plus it's full of broken stuff I just want to see gone.
The only thing that triggers me are Wild player that pop up randomly in threads that don't concern them just to say "hah, this doesn't concern me, I play Wild". I mean, who cares?
Personally I've got nothing against Wild, don't like it and don't play it. Live and let live.
