It's a 4 drop. It no even something you have to cheat out like maly and velen. Mind blast LITERALLY teh first card i thought of when I saw the card. And from practice its just as bad, actually a little worst than I expected. Doing 15+ with one singular mind blast (archamge+vivid+mindblast). There's another combination including a card(2 actually) not listed I'm not even going to mention because it literally not something I ever want to see. 5 unblockable dmg to face for 2 mana is already stupid imo. Shadows visions was considered cancer because it cheated the max limit you can have of a spell in your spell. Casting 6+ mindblasts for the two in your deck is far worst than possibly getting 4 at not additional cost...just having particular minions on the board. If you keep coin you can possibly cast 2 20 dmg mindblast with gallery or mass res. This feels odd and less of a competitive game than MechaCthun Druid. Anyone who has ever played this game had to think of mind blast after reading archmage, yet Devs still printed it. Thanks.
The Archmage casts a "random" spell you've cast this turn. Gallery + Coin + Mind Blast? Have fun with your extra coin at the end of the turn. Vivid nightmare on Archmage? Have fun with 4 Archmages at the end of your turn. Your Mind Blasts are vasted.
Plus, you can only have 2 copies of mind blast and need them in your Hand together with Archmage.
The only realistic/reliable combo would be: T1: Archmage + Seance (on empty board!), T2: Archmage + Archmage + Senace, T3: Archmage + Archmage + Mind Blast, T4: Archmage + Archmage + Mind Blast; equals 30 damage over 4 turns and you need 10 Mana for the last two turns. Meanwhile you're dead because you cannot cast/play any other spell/minion...
As much as I love mind blast and otks with it. I do think it should be rotated out. Then again the otk combo isnt as good in standard after rotation. Is it even possible outside of the multiple vargoth talanji thing?

i have to agree with hillander here, mind blast is just a meme without something that can tutor it, and the only thing left that can generate it is firetree witch-doctor which needs dragons and wont be as good because many useful dragons are rotating out, and isnt as reliable as visons
Priest is not a class that will ever be able to fight fair.
You'd better just get used to the gross combos because they will always exist.

Getting hit 15+ direct dmg to my face because this card just doesnt make any sense. Custom Alexastrassa that can possibly go under 15 hp and more minions on board that you definitely have to kill. If this was a Taljani turn, you are probably f***** because that board is probably gonna be more than enough to kill you and they still have still have some fun stuff in hand just waiting for you.
And in wild....oh FFS. The Frozen Throne res cards and spellstone with this card is so ridiculous. I switch back and forth from wild and standard. Because of this and baku/genn still being a thing ill probably never play wild ranked again.

Spirit Lash(this with Velen would piss me off), duskbreaker, scream, and statue are out though. It doesnt matter what kind of deck you're playing, scream was so obnoxiously safe to play. You can at least play deathrattles into twisting nethers.
Hymm still exists, Mass Hysteria still exists, unsure if the new 5 cost statue or the new tar creeper are great but though are new options to think of. Baku is out so some of the more annoying hyper aggro decks are out. In the entire history of HS, you definitely can never count a priest or warrior out of a match until the HP says 0, so playing aggro and getting a good head start doesnt necessarily mean anything.
I don't know of Blast, but HoF is for staple cards, not for broken ones.

I know what you mean but typically they are one in the same. Sylvanus and Rag were staple in a lot of decks because the power of the cards was strong. Azure Dragon is a good example of staple but not broken card but most of HoF is obnoxious cards no one wants to see every single deck anymore.

That is not the argument, just show the other side of the coin here, vs slow decks the priest have the time to stock this spells, can spend shadow visions for more blasts but this have a downside, when the priest draw x1 mind blast vs agressive decks is a dead card in the entire match and when he draw x2 means they don't draw enough tools to deal with aggro or even midrange decks.
I play control most of the time, I hate decks can kill you with full health from hand in a game lacking totally disrupting techs and you can't act in opponent turn but the fact is Mind Blast is not the problem, I think the card alone is crap, that is why we never see that before shadow visions.
What this game need and never, ever, should lack are tech cards for keep this kind of strategy in check, Dirty Rat and a good spell disrupting minion (not that crap in new expansion) should be exits, created and moved to classic set.
They don't hall of fame mind blast, because it will not be overpowered... of course u still can use Alexstraza and in the next turn use "Mana Blast + Mana Blast + Archmage Vargoth" to deal 15 mana... but is a 4 combo (without shadow visions...), with 2 turns. Is not OP.
PS. On Wild - HSReplay... the first Priest deck is the 11th deck. I think u should learn to play against priest...

Mind Blast was around since the start and never was a problem. Sometimes card finds its best spot and seems OP but is not.
The real problem is Divine spirit. You could never leave any high hp Minion to Priest because you would die. That's sick and overused.

Inner Fire / Divine Spirit are way, way, way worse than Mind Blast.
