I quit constructed for (an occasional game of) battlegrounds because I couldn't keep up with card collecting. So, this'll be a pass for me. Hope tons of people enjoy it though!!!
I think it's MOSTLY fine if all they did was change how damage works. That's really the only issue, to be honest. The new 1/1 spore gives a LOT of interesting counter-play to huge stats.
Jandice is a problem in games with Mechs. She can high roll with Murlocs, too ... but so can Furgle and Brann. Ragnaros is pretty broken. +8/8 stats every turn means you can tier up FAST. I had a 100/100 crackling windfury buddy (with mega from other buddy) the first time I played rag. Probably just up the minions killed to balance it. Would make it more like kitty. Great later game benefit but NO benefit early so you have to survive to get benefit.
Getting hit for 20+ in early rounds is the only thing that makes me want to uninstall. So I would vote for buffing more heroes and lowering damage per turn.
It's is almost impossible to win with elementals unless you get Lil Rag -- OR you get ragnaros as your hero. An early golden Molten Rock is sick too. If you do get Lil Rag, Elementals are basically better than dragons.
My very first game with elementals, I found FOUR Lil Rags and a Golden Garr (was 80/500 by the end of the game).
Pirates are really just there for someone to get lucky and eliminate the players going murlocs in the mid-game. You ain't gonna win but you can ruin someone else's day!
I think they use matching in-lobby to make up for bad matchmaking. In other words, if there is a high level of difference in MMR for players in a given lobby, people with higher MMR will play each other frequently while lower folks play each other more frequently.
They absolutely need to do something ... ideally a hotfix ASAP. I just came in fourth with an OKAY (but fun) menagerie build. Guess what the other THREE players were playing. They all had a full board of poisonous murlocs with 40 - 60 health. All three of them. That shouldn't be possible.
Murlocs are the easiest build and the best build in the game. It's such bad design. I feel like you used to be able to have a chance at putting murloc players out early. I feel like you used to be punished for forcing murlocs, especially when other players also forced murlocs. Now it is insane. I am to the point where I concede with murlocs are in the tribe pool. I don't care about my rating enough to play the same thing over and over.
The fact that they nerfed beasts this hard and did nothing to murlocs is INSANE.
Worse setup: no pirates (the only tribe that still has a chance to eliminate midgame murlocs)
Best setup: no murlocs ("oh. I can actually try to play something else... like demons or mechs)
I would guess Murlocs win in 70% of battlegrounds right now. There is no reason NOT to force murlocs. I have been in lobbies where three players all have high-roll murloc boards. That shouldn't be possible...
One thing that has happened, that I do not like, is the final match-up for first place has become overwhelmingly ... he who attacks first wins. It never felt like this before.
July 6, 2020. Still terrible on mobile. Lost 3 games today because both battle mode animations reducing my buying turns and buying animations screwing any chance of < octogenarian APM.

Didn't think they could make something more random than BGs, but BY GOLLY they did it!!

I did this with Rag and Mega Windurry. Was over over 100/100 by the end of the game. :D

This + Kael'thas + two small spells + Survival of the Fittest ... seems like a good board.

I agree with this. Primalfin is the biggest problem.
