I'm sorry I contributed to the thread. If you want to counter SAD Druid, don't listen to me. Put me on ignore. And then uninstall hearthstone.

Vicious syndicate data suggest the best counter is some sort of tempo mage, since it's the deck that can seize victories faster than any other deck with the right kind of hand (and by that I mean mana mana wyrm one :)) )
Like others suggested Odd rogue is also a viable aggro deck with good chances against SAD.
Reason I said Reno Mage with Azalina was because of Ice Block. You can make your deck very draw heavy to help you draw Azalina in time, and with Arcanologist, Raven Familiar, Research Project, Arcane Intellect, and Stargazer Luna in addition to the rest of the neutral card draws, Mage should have pretty decent cycle.
The problem with Dirty Rat against Star Aligner druid, is that even if you pull Star Aligner out to kill the combo, you're still giving the opponent a free 7/7 on the board! :-(
Same with Kun the Forgotten King. At best, you could pull Avianna, but even that is a free 5/5
I'll second this. Focus on getting as much armor as possible every turn, play a few minions but don't overextend. Once they play their combo, that's when you win. It often won't be enough to burn through your armor, and then you respond with Brawl. They have no backup plan.

Loatheb destroys odd warrior.
Why? Most of Odd Warrior's strengths come from the Mech minions. What's Loatheb going to do? Wave his tentacles at them? XD

Avoiding Brawl and armorgain in the same turn. With a brewmaster it is even possible to avoid any AoE (bouncing Loatheb back and replay him). And then the warrior has no board (got killed by the combo) and faces three 7/7 and a 5/5 after the Star Aligner combo without the possibility to kill any of them.

Dyn-o-matic says bye-bye to Loatheb. That card is so OP! lol! And Warrior just laughs and continues to armour up....
EDIT: If the Druid has already been allowed to pull of the full combo it should already be over. Loatheb doesn't make much difference at that point. I'm talking about Loatheb just being played against the Warrior itself.

No, Loatheb only makes sense after the combo. Just read the discussion you answered to. The claim was that Odd Warrior armors up sufficiently to survive the combo. And after the combo he plays brawl, kills the remainder and armors up again. Then the game is over and not in favor of the Druid. Playing loatheb makes it impossible to clean the board and get some life.
Is it really so easy to armor out of combo range? The 56 damage combo is not that hard to assemble, with just a bit more DK/minion chipping and Swipes to face, it should be gg...

I don't know. I mean, SAD doesn't have many good minions to put damage on the board, does he? I only played a very unrefined version at the beginning of Boomsday, and when I played against a control warrior, I didn't kill him with the combo (I "only" caused 48 damage with star aligner and floop) but he conceded since he didn't have an answer to my board. Nevertheless, it felt like it is possible to gain enough armor for the warrior without a big stretch. Sure, when the SAD comboes on turn 8 because the stars align, then it's unlikely. But even over 7 turns, you can get 24 armor which is alreadyd 54 health/armor (in theory and without coin).

Perhaps, but I've yet to see Loatheb played in SA druid. Besides, even with Loatheb, Brawl can still be played for 10 mana, unless they also have Brann Bronzebeard in play.

Ok, still haven't seen Loatheb played once. Besides, where do they play it? If the board consists of Aviana, Kun, 2x SA, Brann, Brewmaster and Medivh, then they can't play Loatheb. Sure, they can play one less SA, but that's 14 less damage.
I'm not saying I disagree, but I've yet to see it happen.

played odd rogue against this deck. doesnt really counter. they need to have a bad draw (lul) and i need to draw godly. and loatheb also.
