People who behave like absolute dicks, such as having lethal and either trolling around by pretending to not have lethal by using non-lethal cards until the very last second where *BOOM* 2 fireballs in the face after having just used 2 mirror images, together with a "Greetings!", or the complete idiot spamming "well played!" after each and every play.
Second one is silencable, first one is not. Why hasn't Blizzard put in a report function? Hearthstone has by far one of the worst communities, and it's quite ironic really because of the lack of a chat function.
dont be a pussy, be a man! If this is what abusing you, what do you do in real life? cry? jesus... can someone close this thread?
I never really intended to reply to anything on this forum, but this was something ridiculous enough that I need to share a couple other view points.
Just cause people act a certain way, it does not mean they are insulting you. Someone might be saving those fireballs til the end of the game in case you pull out some crazy shenanigans on them, strong minions and taunts etc. It's a tactic, not trolling or meant to insult you.
As a new player, I also get my ass kicked many times in HearthStone. I find it cheering when someone destroys everything I try and say "Well played" cause I actually take it as genuine compliment from the opponent - telling me I'm doing good, learning, at least trying different tricks even when I cannot win. Better players are not always automatically assholes and compliments are not automatically sarcasm. You people thinking like that need to go look in the mirror and stop getting offended over ridiculous things. Random people are not out to get you!
I do think losing when you go AFK should be more immediate, I understand it's not ideal for people with a bad internet connection. But it seems like almost 50% of people would rather ragequit just to bother the opponent than concede. The numbers are too high to not do anything about it. It's just so childish and very annoying to have to wait for two more rounds after you've already won.
I don't see the problem in having to wait a round or two more to win, considering, that we are ALL wasting time by even playing video games. If you get frustrated and annoyed over the smallest things in these games that are supposed to be enjoyed, well, maybe you need to get off your device and go get some fresh air for a bit.
It should be reportable, but unfortunately people here will defend to the death these idiots’ rights to abuse the mechanics. They will defend their right to rope and waste your time, because they believe these asshats are entitled to do so.
I’d suggest posting this on a Blizzard forum so at least there’s a .1% chance it could be taken seriously.
im with you though. The argument of “just squelch them” is a cop-out. Or “just concede and move on” suggestion is stupid as well. Sure, let’s give the dumb asshole a free win for being and asshole.
The official blizzard forum is filled with threads like this one.

Seriously? I've had DC issues many times in Hearthstone and being able to get back into the game in time has been really nice. Now roping intentionally is a pain in the ass, but if you've actually DC'd, I think it's fair to get two rounds to come back. If I think someone is AFK, I'll slam my stuff down ASAP to try to give them as little time as possible. It doesn't bother me one bit having to wait an extra round in the rare situations where someone does AFK. And if they AFK intentionally, it just means you'll get the win easier than if they stayed. That being said, I'd hate knowing I'm essentially screwed if I DC at any point.

I wish they would implement some kind of notice to tell my opponent that I was DC'd. This happens on occasion and I genuinely feel bad about it, but there is no way of letting them know.
Do you really want Blizzard sorting through all that nonsense?
Do you think the devs time is best spent with childish reports or with , oh I don't know, developing the game?
Seriously, I'd be so pissed if I got reported because I went to get a drink of water. It's not as black and white as you think.
Why do people think there are Blizzard employees reading trough every single report?
If they implement such a system, they would do it like in WoT. 4 Boxes to select from, like : spamming/insults , unsportsbehaviour, bot , etc.
After a specific amount of reports on one person/bot ( and I’m talking here about 5-10 persons wot banned over a year, from 2million players) they would eventually look that guy up ,and ban him for a couple days. Not much Manpower needed there...
But general I’d say that it’s not really needed in HS .

You have no idea what it takes to run a company, do you?
When a report goes in, they HAVE to read it - They read EVERY report, so adding a report feature to the game would make them so much busier.

Uhmm , didn’t you read my comment?
They wouldn’t have to read anything, because there is nothing to read!
WoT uses an automatic System. Like I wrote, They see at the end of the season, Player X has been reported ( just a click in a box , no one writes them anything) as ( for example) bot, a couple thousand times, they eventually look that guys account up. If you get reported let’s say 100 times in a season nothing happens, no one gives a s..t and they don’t even look at your account.
WoT bans only very few people, when they are sure, they cheated on their rules. One or two persons can handle that easily, once such a system is implemented.
I assume you have never played League of Legends if you think HS has bad community xDDDDD
Comparing anything close to a community to the smegma-infested hole that is League of Legends is measuring it against the lowest possible contender though.
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Start of Year: Provoke the failure of 3 expansions, force nerfs on otherwise balanced cards, bring deckbuilding to an all-time low and get rotated one year earlier for being such a threat to the game's health. - Genn and Baku's historical entry on the White Book of Shit Design, shortly before retiring unpunished

It is each players prerogative to play out their 30 cards in any manner they see fit. There can also be strategy behind playing cards out in certain ways to try to confuse your opponent. What you should really be trying to work out is your hyper-sensitivity and emotional fragility instead of a completely unreasonable reporting mechanism for people just playing hearthstone.
Players who deliberately stall turns from the go, especially first and last turns, should be kicked out for an hour. It's plain disgusting behavior
And how do you tell the difference between this 'incredibly offensive' behavior and something entirely normal like running to get a glass of water or being called out for a second by someone? You think a player should rather concede the match than make their opponent have to wait for just a bit?
Lol you must not have played any MOBAs. Play one of those for a few months and then tell me that Hearthstone has one of the worst toxic gaming communities.
How do you suggest to prove that a player was actually acting the way that you say, or that a particular well played emote really was for bming and it wasn't just your interpretation that it was bm? How do you prevent griefers from spamming reports against somebody just because they were salty about someone or just because they are the troll and want to spam reports?
WoW has plenty more GMs to assist with reports of bad behavior than HS would currently have access to and most of the minor BM-style of reports in WoW go mostly ignored. Putting a report system in HS wouldn't really seem that much more promising.

How do you prove most "stall turns", as you call them, are really stalling? HS tournaments should prove that the general playerbase assumes that so many turns should be obvious, but when it comes down to actual serious games many of the participants' turns would make Ropecoach blush with admiration.
In general better players take longer on their turns and mediocre and bad players are more likely to make snap decisions because it is 'obvious' that what they're going to do is the one and only best option to make that turn.

You know where there IS a report function? here in Hpwn and the language used on this thread.. well..
Insulting people for using certain tactics, or decks isn't any better than the behavior you are going against.
If you try to condemn something you don't step into their level.
