I am missing 1 cube, and Zilliax. I have 1100 dust so could this function without Zilliax? I have Myra Rotspring and Myras Unstable Element but I don't particularly care for rogue that much. Would it be okay to D/E those two for Zilliax?

posted a message on I wish Hearthstone had a campaign mode.

Actually, Shadowverse had a solo campaign. There was a story to follow between matches and they rewarded packs. It became a little harder the further you went, and was available on mobile. I love the idea of an HS based solo campaign, but I don't see how it could be implemented.

Unless of course, they brought back adventures.

posted a message on Does Giggling Inventor need a nerf?

I do not have Giggling Inventor, but I've never had an issue dealing with it either. It has a tech card, anyway.

Furthermore, it is a good stall versus aggro decks which makes matches a little longer. They make a great neutral card that does well verses aggro, because "nobody likes to lose by T5...." And people are screaming for a nerf.

    Pick your poison.

posted a message on How many total wins would you consider to be a lot in HS ?
    Quote from Bee >>

I've seen plenty of threads that ask how many total wins do you have.

How many total wins in HS would you consider to be

    1. Low

    2. Average

    3. High

    4. Very High

    5. Insanity

Are we talking total wins for all nine classes? Let's see...you need 4500 ranked wins for all nine golden portraits. I think 4500 wins across all nine goals is a common goal amongst players.

I would say 4500 would be the most sought after average. And then your wins would incrementally grow from there, depending on often you play each class.

    Hard to say, really.

posted a message on What's wrong with Casual?

If you really want to make a difference, stop playing casual. Create a discord channel and meet up with like minded people. You can set up your own tournaments, make your own house rules, etc.

Casual is simply un-ranked, and contrary to popular belief, just because I have a netdeck, doesn't mean I sit around and farm 30 wins a day. I don't have that kind of time.

As a matter of fact, I've switched to playing strictly ranked because there is waaaaay less roping, BM, and salt. I'm not receiving friend requests just to be belittled because I HAPPENED to open Rhokdelar and HAPPENED to have enough dust for Rexxar.

I am so sorry that I took the time to become proficient with my deck and that your sub par homebrews are suffering versus optimization and intelligence.

For players that do play competively, where are we supposed to practice our new meta decks? Where are we supposed to learn what to tech against? Where are we supposed to fine tune our decks for the current meta?

If you're playing in Casual, and you come across a netdeck, just concede and move on to the next match! It will drop your MMR so you can actually win once in a while. This isn't rocket science.

posted a message on New Hunter Spell - Cybertech Chip

Mech Hunter will be a thing until the meta settles....just like Dragon Hunter. And Spell Hunter. Once the novelty wears off, it will be hard countered by all of everything.

Hunters Basic/Classic set revolves around beast synergy. For a Mech Hunter to work, you need a meta that focuses on the board. These days, it is basically remove taunt, and spam spells to face while hiding behind big minions of my own.

Secrets are so stale and predictable in Hunter that nobody even pops them anymore. Hunter has no decent AoE and its only face spell is kill command. No life gain, no armor gain, no card draw - it literally has none of the tools other classes have.

And before you start with class identity, Taunt Druid looks a lot like Taunt Warrior....

Thank you all for the advice and support; it really has been a great help, and you've all been so nice! <3

posted a message on Why do warlocks get most of the board clears?

I know that priests and mages are the next offenders of board clear hoarding, but I'm confused about why this class in particular just gets board clears vomited into their laps while other classes like rogues, hunters, and druids rarely get them (Even in wild these classes mostly have very niche board clears).

Was it really necessary for locks to get something like Godfrey when they already had Defile, Hellfire, and Nether?

Perhaps class themes are just being beat to death and are forced a little too much?

Defile - to get the most out of it requires some set up (minions to be at 1,2,3 etc health

Hellfire - 3 dmg to ALL characters

Twisting Nether - Destroys ALL minions

Abyssal Enforcer - deals 1 damage to ALL minions

Almost all of Warlocks' board clears punish the warlock as well as the opponent, hence why their board clears seem like a lot for a little mana. Due to the damage they do to themselves, Blizzard might have tried to balance this with a few heals....

posted a message on F2P Experience

I also think that coming from a TCG background makes a massive difference. (MTG, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, etc)

I came from none of that. I did watch Trumps Teachings, and I watched his videos. I didn't know any better, so I copied his exact decks. I watched him climb with them so why can't I?

Frustrated and confused, I joined the official forum for advice. It was all "git gud noob..." Finally, I ran into some cool people who were kind enough to give me a little guidance. I was starting from complete scratch. My learning curve was extremely high. Watching streams is impossible, because I'm constantly opening up another tab to google this card, or that card, and then I miss portions of the stream.

I also made the mistake of trying to ask genuine noob questions in Twitch chat. I've been all over the web, and this forum is probably the nicest place I've found...and I've been doing this since Old Gods.

    The F2P experience is extremely rough because;

    a) Outdated information

    b) Stereotypes (aggro is brainless/control is a bunch of dbags/nobody cares about mid-range) (F2P = jobless, homeless drain on society leeching public wifi)

    c) Condescension (git gud noob, r20 scrub, whats the point if you don't make legend every season?

    d) Nobody can agree on anything. (Issuing a "well-played" after every game is toxic if you won, but good sportsmanship if you lost)

New players are like the innocent new kid that just arrived at an out-of-control school. Teachers don't care, there aren't enough textbooks to go around and everyone seems so miserable.

I don't see anything wrong with the decklist as a whole. But what are the specific matchups you struggle with the most?

Usually control matchups; I lose focus because I feel like a mouse that has been caught by a cat and now I'm being toyed with before I get eaten.

Nothing is worse than getting within lethal, just to have them drop big minions (obsidian statues/voidlords) or consistently tapping to find your acidic swamp ooze before Manari can give them a Voidlord, I think its called? (The 3/9 with summon 3 1/3 taunts deathrattle)

Not to mention, its a mirror match on top of that because by T3 they have half your deck anyway.

"Oh, Anduin? Sorry, I thought you were Valeera..."

Or having them heal almost to full health...

Its frustrating because I oftentimes HAVE the answer (teching decks I see a lot hasn't been an issue) but its drawing the tech when you need it that becomes the problem.

Sometimes I have to double check just to make sure it is in there, like, wth?

I think its frustrating for me because I invested so much time in an uphill battle. Aggro/midrange matches are easier to read and way faster so they don't stick out as much.

But those control matchups are a total drag.

I'm not sure what you are asking, if you are asking how do I not be frustrated with this game, that's impossible.   The game is consistently frustrating, for a variety of reasons, it's unavoidable.  From the player base to just the way the game was designed, swingy turns, ridiculous decks, people playing things you aren't used to, it goes on and on.

Just try not to break anything in your room and don't play for that long of a stretch.

If you want to concede, concede, if you really don't think you'll win, maybe you will, but meh.

Since the beginning, I've been referred to as an "R20 Scrub."

There is this rampant attitude of "you don't know anything because you're R20."

I just want to get to a respectable rank, is all. However, the ladder, especially control matches are just ick. I would like to reach R15 to prove that I can, and that I do take this game seriously. It's just easier for me to read articles than it is to watch streams. (I watch my own replays/spectate friends)

As for spending more time at work, labor laws won't let me and they have recently put a cap on how much over-time I can attain.

As for the decklist, and here is the website link; https://www.metabomb.net/hearthstone/deck-guides/midrange-hunter-deck-list-guide-hearthstone-53

    2 x Tracking 2 x Dire Mole
    2 x Crackling Razormaw
    2 x Explosive Trap
    2 x Freezing Trap
    2 x Wandering Monster
    2 x Animal Companion
    2 x Bearshark
    1 x Deadly Shot
    2 x Eaglehorn Bow
    2 x Kill Command
    2 x Unleash the Hounds
    2 x Flanking Strike
    2 x Houndmaster
    2 x Lesser Emerald Spellstone

    1 x Deathstalker Rexxar

Hey, got the same problem (I believe).

Right now I'm stuck on Rank 15 and can't seem to make any progress, except for the initial winstreak that led me to 14. So, I've made the experience that when you have a losing streak (lost three in a row is my limit) you should take a little break from ladder. After that try to maximize the time, you have for a turn by thinking out every possibility what the opponent could play. And board control is very important aswell as concetration, if you are tired you should rest for a while and charge another time. Oh, and if the opponent is annoying like a Shudderwock player emoting good game you can mute him ;). Are you familiar with the most popular decklists?

I am using a mid range hunter deck. Since the dawn of time, people swear mid-range/zoo can get you to R15. However, I seem to be running into a lot of control decks. I also read that its best to stick with the same deck for a long time because deck switching can hurt your progress.

I don't get a lot of time to play; I usually wait until the end of season to hit R20. This month, I'm trying to squeeze in a few matches every single day.

I do analyze my plays, and see mistakes. I use arcane tracker and learned a lot. Also, I have a friend that likes to spectate and offer tips.

I did switch to MR Hunter after using Evenlock because I would get all my spells (even after mulligan/tapping) or draw minions that would have been a tempo-loss to lay down (because I had bigger ones to play.)

I regularly read the VS reports and counter what I can. I'm very familiar with both decks. (I have 300 ranked wins on Hunter.)

However, I sometimes concede matches if they are control. I honestly hate those matches but it seems like they are in abundance down here.

posted a message on Increasing use of The Wussy Move

I do this all the time. I always wondered if it bothered people. On the one hand, they get a star/gold. For some players, that is all that matters.

Then there are players like you. Thank you so much for the satisfaction. Also, knowing that this kind of thing bothers people will make more players do it more often.

Since I discovered Standard was a thing, I have been regularly hitting R20. (I started playing around Old Gods but strictly casual.)

I have since tried to reach R15 on a regular basis and I kept struggling and struggling - part of the issue was trying to maximize everything. (i.e Holding onto spellstones to get more wolves when I should have laid something on board)

I have been working on these things, and it has helped. This morning I came across a quest priest who emoted after every card they stole. Whatever.

We get a few turns into the game, and I'm like, "You know what? This match is not fun, this opponent is annoying; this deck is annoying and I'm probably going to lose."

That is when I realized I was essentially blocking myself. I understand this is a me problem, and I don't have an issue with my opponents playing what is fun to them.

So, my question is are there any tips/tricks that can help me focus on the prize? Rather than just concede, I'd like to be a better player and a better opponent. I am open to constructive criticism.

I realize this is a "me" problem and I can't be the first to experience this.

posted a message on I think the pre order prices's unreasonable, am I good with my dust and gold savings ?
    Quote from Delai >>

I pre ordered all the least expansions, so i have most of the cards, but not all epic and legendaries yet.

And right now I have 5k gold and 33,000 Dust. So my questions is,: Is it worth to buy the new pre order packs, cause that's insanly 49,99€ for 50 packs and 79,99€ for 80 packs with a hero, or get both deals for 129.98 €

I just want to be able to play all new meta decks, so will my gold and dust collection be enough, or should i pre order some packs to start op my new collection ? Im confused, last expansion was much better, and now we get this shit

     Thanks. Delai

My personal opinion would be to purchase the preorders if you can. The more packs, the better. You will gain way more cards, and way more dust. If you can fill out the entire xpac with dust left over, you're a step ahead for next xpac, and then you can start saving gold for the next xpac, if you don't want to pre-order.

As for crafting, it is difficult to say. The absolute best reference I can give you is this link; www.vicioussyndicate.com

VS writes weekly data reports on the Standard Meta, and they recently started doing Wild. It can give you an excellent overview of what is popular, what is winning, etc. This can definitely help in figuring out what to craft, especially if you're high rank.
