I’ve been playing fun decks like malygos warlock decks in wild for a few months, and I have yet to face a reno deck. In my opinion, people are overratting Reno Jackson. It’s mostly jade druid, all types of paladin, and big priest. That’s what I’ve been playing a lot against, and naga will die tomorrow which is one cancerous deck out of the way. Hopefully big priest can get touched and I’ll be set.
I usually don't play Wild but when I've delved into it, it's nothing but cancer Reno and Naga decks. So I don't care for it myself I stick to standard.
Cancer and Reno do not sound well togehter. What are you playing? Aggro decks? ( Judging by your statement)

I rarely play aggro decks. I'm more a tempo/midrange guy. Last time I tried though I played secret pally. I also played naga huntard when they very first did the change to Naga sea witch and I saw old Reynad create the deck.

Oh I see. Then for a Midrange decks Reno might be annoying too. But it is definitelly not cancerous tho xD I still kinda disagree with that
Standard because it’s a more true ladder as everything is based off the best players in the region. And that trickles all the way down.
That's bullshit. The ladder system is the same in Wild and Standard.
The ladder system is the same but the quality of the players is massively different. The best players only play Standard. And that causes a trickle down effect where every rank is based off those best players.

This is wrong, just a myth. I see our favorite streamers go to wild occasionally. Yeah not every season, and not all them. But just because people are more relaxed and dont take it as seriously and make more misplay mistakes, don't mean they are not the same legend players in standard.
This is just what standard only players say to justify only playing standard.
The funny thing is when players say wild is worst quality players, they usually prove themselves wrong with their statement. For example saying that they been to legend on both, and wild faster to achieve.
So you just proven that standard legend players do play wild.
The thing about reaching legend faster is more to do with the number of players playing each mode, then skill. In time this may change too.
All in all wild is more fun, because people are not only about winning, do make mistakes, because they're more relaxed and more experimental.
Standard is better after release of new expansions for a short time, it is the best moment HS have, after Standard become stable and disgusting endless matchs vs the same Tier 1 decks over and over because Blizzard take ages to send balance patchs Wild is better.
Sometimes both are awful for example now, when you play vs a full board of giants in turn 5 in Wild or vs Warlock/Paladin in Standard.
The game will be so much better if the nerfs and balance patches are release much more often than now. :(
I play wild exclusively, but actually while I think Wild has a looooooot more diversity, ultimately, there are less broken decks in standard hence why it is more "competitive" (still a casual game, want a pro game? play starcraft 2...).
It depends what you are looking for, but tier 1-4 meta decks in wild crush anything unrefined ("tier 5++") unless they are piloted horribly.
Also, Kingsbane Rogue exist in wild, and this is probably the most frustrating deck to play against if you enjoy control.
I'd say Wild for the pure amount of diversity, Standard for fresher/ more balanced cards.
1 - cheaper than standard; you dont have to get 4509634 packs from new expansions, especially if you focus on some classes. 2 - freedom of making decks and crafting cards. 3 - you dont care hall of fame 4 - you can use your powerful decks for a veryyyy loooonngg time 5 - COLDLIGHT ORACLE !
you just need to get core cards depend on your playstyle. like loatheb, sylvanas, heroes etc. that takes time for sure but it is much more efficient than dusting wild cards to get standard cards every year.
Wild is better because of the variety and the seemingly endless deckbuilding possibilities, except of diamond 5-1, where you always face the same tryhard netdecks (secret and quest mage, mech paladin, cubelock, pirate warrior, dh). With a bit more frequent balance changes the mode could be really wonderful.
As soon as the standard rotation of expansions become stale, the wild player base rises. Wild is the place where you can see control decks actually have a chance against aggression with cards like Zilliax, Antique healbot, Reno Jackson. In the current standard card sets, there is no neutral card control decks can use to sustain some life in the early to mid game...
Personally, I prefer to split up hearthstone into two accounts; one for each format as it’s lighter on the dust you need to spend. Lot of the time people dust their wild collection for standard cards and I have no interest doing that!
The long answer: it depends on your collection and what you want from the game. In higher ranks you see insanely strong decks with sometimes extreme high rolls. And like the other people say: in high ranks the variety gets lower.
i say if you have the collection and mostly play for fun or not that high of a rank, wild is the perfect mode.
if you want to reach legend it really doesnt matter because both modes get pretty boring to climb. But it still has the plus-side of having more cards to choose from
I've played (on and off) since season 1 so wild is much better for me. I've got lots of really good expensive wild decks, but not a single complete standard deck.
I thought we covered this already it’s a dumping ground for all the old sets it is what it is if you want to play broken cards from old sets or combos you go to wild. Standard is newer sets as it states in the dialogue.

Well get to see how the Nerfs affect standard Tomorrow, but i'm currently leaning Wild.
Standard is better after release of new expansions for a short time, it is the best moment HS have, after Standard become stable and disgusting endless matchs vs the same Tier 1 decks over and over because Blizzard take ages to send balance patchs Wild is better.

I play both. But wild is much more fun imo.
If you enjoy playing with all the cards in your collection (not easy in this meta), wild for sure. If you're a new player, standard.
meta is more diverse in wild if you have wild cards wild is so much better
i play cubelock and lose 5 games in a row then i play odd paladin and get my stars back wash rinse repeat

Wild.. so many cool rogue decks you can play. Infinity value <3
The short answer: wild, by far.
The long answer: it depends on your collection and what you want from the game. In higher ranks you see insanely strong decks with sometimes extreme high rolls. And like the other people say: in high ranks the variety gets lower.

wild. more fun. more decks. more combinations :)
