I've recently delved into wild after getting bored of standard and am please try surprised at the variance of decks and the lack of all those infamous cancer decks.
What are your thoughts?
Does wild need more attention from blizzard and hs streamers?
Does wild really support more variance in decks and support more archetypes?
And lost of all, which is better, wild or Standard
I used to play standar, but man, wild>>>standard, you can craft anything, and play anything. I reach legend and high ranks playing any class I want, however in wild there are some cancer decks, but the variety is better so you don’t get bored too easy.
And yes, they need more atention of Blizzard, the class that have weak pool of basic & classic cards, used to get the stronger cards each expansion and get stronger in wild (look at the pool of warlock), and if they have good basic & classic cards they get weak or not that good cards each expansion and became weaker in wild (look at the pool of rogue and hunter), however the variety of decks make easy to play the any class
There are a cancer decks in wild too, but a lot of variety too. There's so much cards to choose from, you can't pack them all in a single deck...
Some cards that were barely average can become quite good over time (I'm looking at you stalag and feugen). So a lot of opportunity to surprise your opponent.
Now, some very strong and annoying cards that should have been nerfed long-term ago but weren't can also get on nerves too. But overall I do like it a lot more too.
Also, on the long run, it's cheaper than standard since you don't have to depend as much on the latest set's must have cards...
Wild is far better than Standard and it can only improve in time while new archetypes come along. Standard is stale and boring. Those people that will say about how Wild is full of "cancer", decks or specific cards, are the same that whine about how in Standard there are "cancer" decks so don't mind them. Also it's not true that you'll need tons of old cards to play decently, just a few that can be easily crafted without too much effort.
The bigger the card pool, them more diversivity and fun you will have.
Both are terrible atm. Do not listen anyone that tells you wild is better. They are equally toxic. If you do not believe me,try them your self. Hopefully the next patch will change things.

This is true. I used to enjoy a lot playing Wild before the Boringwood expansion, but it seems more and more people are playing this mode regulary this days and the result is f...king Paladins everywhere (at least, that is what I face the most). At high ranks, the meta is nothing else than pure cancer. As you said jainaishot, hopefully the next patch will change things. Also, nice signature you have there, it is so cute, hehe. :P
In the higher ranks you only see the same decks, no matter what gamemode. There is actually fewer people playing wild then before, according to vicioussyndicate. Anyway, best game mode is arena.
- Standard is better, if you hate facing stupid interactions or combo/OTK decks like me.
- If you don't mind those, then wild is way better. I'm not familiar with the meta there, but because of the variance you can go with almost any deck and have a fairly good win-rate there. Not to mention, that the best casual decks are the wild ones.
There is little difference. Both need new expansions and balance changes to freshen up the meta. Personally I stick with standard. It's the game mode that gets more attention. Wild has more cards but that doesn't somehow make it more creative or fun. It's still a victim to tier lists and meta defining decks just like standard is. Overtime it's balance will drastically suffer because certain classes with weaker core sets will have greater access to powerful cards from expansions, while those who regularly get meme cards in expansions because their core set is strong will fall so far behind that it's not even viable. I'm also not surprised to see so many in this thread praising wild. It's the hipster point of view in this community. The more popular mode which is obviously standard isn't cool so they will praise wild or even arena despite it being a haven for balance issues, cheaters and having it's own form of net decking.
Wild seems better if you are a long-time standard player right out of the gate, you see decks you never saw before all the time. But then once you get closer and closer to rank 5, you will start to see your least favorite standard decks (with MAYBE 1-4 wild cards in, MAYBE) and it's just as dull and boring. The grass is only greener temporarily.

I’ve been playing Wild since JTU’s release and overall, there’s been a lot more variety and less of a problem when it comes to meta decks. I rarely even see them, and haven’t since JTU for the most part. And, imo, it’s only even as unbalanced as Standard.

Tavern Brawl.
Check out my entry for this week's Card Design Competition. Vote for it if you like it.

Wild is better
Wild
Wild, just gonna get better and better the more expac rotates
Wild is better yes. But if a lot of people play then will become worst than standard.
Wild is perfect in its actual state.
Wild is far better than Standard and it can only improve in time while new archetypes come along. Standard is stale and boring. Those people that will say about how Wild is full of "cancer", decks or specific cards, are the same that whine about how in Standard there are "cancer" decks so don't mind them. For what profit is it to a man, if he gains the world and loses his own soul?
Wild is better and more fun, if you have the cards of course. Like Yogg, N'Zoth, Thaurissan, Kel'Thuzad and many others.

Wild - people complain about it but it isn’t as bad as they say.
I personally like wild more, I can try so many fun, weird combo decks and it's way more fun than the completely boring grind of standard.
As a standard player, I would say the following:
- Standard is better, if you hate facing stupid interactions or combo/OTK decks like me.
- If you don't mind those, then wild is way better. I'm not familiar with the meta there, but because of the variance you can go with almost any deck and have a fairly good win-rate there. Not to mention, that the best casual decks are the wild ones.
