posted a message on Patchnotes 23.2.2 - Drek'thar Nerf & more Buffs and Nerfs - Battlegrounds too

About the dragonbane shot nerf: they should have nerfed the hunter quest itself, the only archetype the card was problematic in... Completely destroyed a card instead that was usable in other strategies as well. Same old mistake again.

posted a message on Hunter needs to be nerfed

No need for a nerf at all. But if it has to happen, target cards that work only (or mainly) in SMORC hunter decks. Someone mentioned piercing shot, intrepid initiate and knife vendor belong in this category too. Don't nerf the tools that give other hunter archetypes (combo or midrange)  a possibility to exist, like rhino.

posted a message on Where is your integrity?

Integrity? I wouldn't go that far either, it's just a game after all. I agree on the point however, that there's a difference between winning and winning. Everyone loves to win, but the good feeling of a real accomplishment is not there when you win using a deck that everyone agrees on being broken as a result of a design flaw (I'm not talking about strong decks, but clear anomalies like this one). You might as well go and play against small children and win literally every game, still that wouldn't make you the happiest player alive, nor would it be that much fun, I suppose.

As for the question of netdecking on the other hand, in a recent interview  Dean Ayala stated that for him as a designer the biggest revelation was the fact that deckbuilding is not a core part of the game experience. It was a sad thing to read and I think it explains a lot...

posted a message on About deck of lunacy

No need to discuss this any further, just nerf that shit. It makes the game unplayable. (And no, I won't play it and weapon rogue either). Anyone remember the reasoning behind the nerf of original Yogg? This is infinitely worse. The fact it exists shows how far the game went in the wrong direction since then.

posted a message on Wild meta is ******** lmfao, thanks a lot blizztard!

Used to play highlander quest hunter in wild and reached legend with it a few months ago. Now they nerfed Dinotamer Brann, so, with the Brann-Brann combo gone, HL hunter has no chance against priest anymore. One more fun deck gone from the format. At least Cubelock has lost its popularity, it was on pair stupid with the priests and secret mages.

posted a message on FINALLY!!! FINALLY!!! NERFS ARE COMING!!!

Brann nerf at this point of the cycle is just stupid. Brann-Brann combo was one of the very few things which made Hunter viable in wild.

posted a message on What new cards are you still hoping for?

Some efficient tool for my wild reno hunter to fight swarm decks' early snowball potential. Also some good beasts to draw with the new pseudo recruit spell in standard.

posted a message on What is better. Wild or Standard?

Wild is better because of the variety and the seemingly endless deckbuilding possibilities, except of diamond 5-1, where you always face the same tryhard netdecks (secret and quest mage, mech paladin, cubelock, pirate warrior, dh). With a bit more frequent balance changes the mode could be really wonderful.

    posted a message on Fun

I know, I was exaggerating. But it was no irony, that the most fun (at least for me) is finding out how to beat those boring ridiculously OP decks (third one was resurrect priest) that have been poisoning wild meta since ages.

You can always go and play in wild against endless hordes of secret mages and cubelocks instead. That's where real fun begins:)

posted a message on Hunters all over the place?

Let's stay a bit objective at least. Without setting it up Rexxar's battlecry is almost never a full boardclear. Turn 6 or later on nearly everything has more than 2 health. Even the paladin dudes are buffed by that time.

posted a message on Dragon Hunter

When I tinkered with dragon hunter I thought Countess Ashmore would be an obvious inclusion. She can guarantee to pull your Oondasta, Zilliax and a copy of Highmane, which provide a serious late game if hit by Emeriss.  I get that you choose a different path though, those card would be probably too greedy for this build.

Haven't tried it out yet. Just theorycrafting in my workplace:) Tonight I'm gonna test it a bit though. I hope I'll get somewhere with it. Would be nice to resurrect that old, abandoned mechanics.

posted a message on [EasyRankUP] Best N'Zoth Hunt #NZoth?!

I constantly try to achieve decent results with N'Zoth hunter too. As far as I can tell, in wild it is much more viable. You've acces to a lot more quality deathrattles there: both belcher and haunted creeper are great tools against aggro and zoo if used correctly. Besides, dr. Boom with his bots occupies the 7 mana weak spot of the hunter lists, which is great for your curve.
